I am no stranger to the worldwide Sheraton chain of hotels, and this one ranks as one of the best experiences I have had to date. The location is excellent if you wish to visit the touristic areas of Salvador (I don't know why you would, but that's another review entirely) and the facility is modern and up to date. Our room was perfect. Totally renovated, with all the amenities you could require and reasonably sized, so it was very comfortable if you decided to stay in, which we did during the ... Read more

Rooms are great, with perfect beds and sheets. Breakfast is charming and has even wine. Swimming pool is nice and Internet is not too good sometimes. But its a great hotel. I reccomend it. Good location.

Stayed there three nights on a business trip. Rooms are very comfy and clean. All classic style decor. The beds are amazing and you'll have to make an effort to get up in the morning :) Two thumbs up. Ran into three well known Brazilian musicians in the lobby, they said that is the best hotel in Salvador.

Hotel was in a good location with many businesses close by for shopping etc. Hotel was very good, good food and ample size room. Room had good lighting, very comfortable bed, refrigerator in room, safe, wi fi, everything I needed. Location was quiet. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was a buffet with fresh fruit, eggs, cereals, breads and pastries, etc. It was a very large buffet. An omelet could be ordered the way one wanted. Only ate breakfast there so can not say anything about other meal... Read more

We stayed here last month when we went to visit my father. I originally selected it because it looked very nice, had good ratings and was a 5 minute walk from where he lives. I must say our stay was fantastic! The service was excellent! Our maid was amazing and so honest. We would leave a tip for her and she would never take it. Then one day we forgot to close the safe and when we got back to our room we freaked out. We checked and everything was there to include her tip, again. Next morning w... Read more

The hotel is located slightly outside the old part of town, but in walking distance. Staff are friendly. The rooms were newly renovated and had a fresh and nice look. The pool area is perfect for a nice evening swim and the breakfast buffet was also offering a good choice. All in all a top hotel.

Hotel da Bahia was a modernist landmark in Salvador. The Sheraton chain took over and revamped it adding contemporary flavor and Brazilian contemporary design. Good service, comfortable rooms. A good option for business.

We were able to book a room here on very short notice. The rooms were nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good, as was the dinner restaurant and the bar. The staff were helpful and helped us book tours.

The hotel really surprised me as their rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice bed, functional bathroom, clean and warm atmosphere. The staff is friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast ok, but could have more variety. I missed the egg station. Diner is served inside as well as on terrace. Limited menu options but fully acceptable. Didn't have the pleasure to have lunch in the hotel. Outdoor pool was inviting but unfortunately I did not have the time to dip in. Several function rooms... Read more

Close to center of town you can find this luxury hotel. Good choice of breakfast, clean rooms, no carpet anti-allergic flooring. Firm bed and a good mini bar. Very well equipped pool area with small roof top pool. Ask for room with view to the park - rooms start from 4th floor up and the higher up..... the better view of course. We liked the short stay and will be back in a week...

Sheraton first impressions were very good . Booked all online their communication which arranging transfers and special requirements was attentive. The hotel was aged but obvious renovation have kept it looking pristine. Staff are more than helpful and even though I have terrible attempts to speak Portuguese they can understand my rambles. Breakfast was fantastic . Fresh fruits and selections of fresh made to order omelettes and Brazilian tastes to leave my palate satisfied . The fresh pastry on... Read more

The outstanding thing of this hotel is the rooms, they are nice and comfortable, and in my opinion for Brazilian hotels really well maintained, or rather new. The bed is very good, the view I had from my room is to a small square and you have a front of windows in the next building across. The bathroom is also very nice with a big walk-in shower with two showerheads, one of which a rain-one. I was somewhat disappointed with the breakfast, for variety and quality, but still it wasn't bad. I also... Read more

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Daniella, the lead concierge, was extremely helpful in providing us recommendations and do's and don'ts while staying in the area. The area does become a little sketchy at night, but it's centrally located near everything.

Check in was quick and efficient. The fitness room was accessible 24 hrs. The pool area was nice. The staff in the restaurant and lounge/bar was attentive and helpful. The small gift shop was a surprise and the prices fair. Most importantly the room was contemporary clean and quiet. Room service was good and timely. My first time in Salvador Bahia. I will definitely return and I will stay here my next visit.

Very decent hotel, great location with easy access to every where in Salvador. I stay here for 4 night and was very happy with my choice as first time in the vibrant Salvador!!!! However I do have to say when checking in I did not get a great welcome as I was expecting to get for booking into the Sheraton hotels, I was a bit embarrassed in front of my partner and mother. The person who checked me in was very cold and not friendly at all, perhaps the person was a bit under pressure and could not... Read more

The area is a little dodgy. The staff was quite clear to return to our rooms by dark and be careful when walking around. Right across the street is a park with playground and we saw some drug addicts and other unsavory characters. We are from NYC, so no stranger to that, but still want to make people aware. Just watch your surroundings. Don't pull out cameras or phones. During the day, we felt pretty safe. We took our kids to the playground and they had fun. The hotel is nice, but had a ... Read more

There are so many things wrong about this hotel. First, the service is horrendous. We went to the bar to have food many times and it would regularly take 45 min to 1 hr+ to get our food even when the bar was empty. My wife ordered espressos during breakfast several times over the course of the stay and they gave her coffee from the coffee pot and wouldn't admit they weren't espressos. I paid for a club room with lounge access. The lounge is laughable. The lounge itself is tiny, has no keycard ac... Read more

I stayed for two nights at this hotel. The bedrooms are big, clean, confortable. The only thing to complain about is that there is coffee facilities in the room, but the only cup provided was dirty from the previous guest. I washed it and made some tea, but after the room service the next day, I noticed they didnt't wash it again . The checkout took forever, lots of people to leave, and the two girls at the guest service were taking too long to finished each one, and apparently were not bothered... Read more

I booked one room to accommodate my mother-in-law (83yo) and sister-in-law (60yo) during a family reunion trip that we had in Salvador. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite to them. Great location for them to walk around the Campo Grande Park and to catch a taxi to Shopping Barra.

Spent only one night but coming into the hotel lobby a mildew smell invaded all. Dated hotel. Location was good and service was excellent. That is one point to note. BFast was very good but basic on the offering. The restaurant at night had little to offer and food was not as good as it should be in a Sheraton. The room on the other side was good, minimalist. Did not use any other amenities. Saw a huge pool and some other ar as I could not use. Would consider some other hotel if to return to ... Read more

Stayed here for a week in a suite. We had a goos size room. Jacuzzi on our terrace was freat. Went as a couple. The hotel is not located in the best of areas but is generally safe. Overall the hotel is a bit dated looking but the big redeeming feature if this hotel is the staff. They are excellent. Staff could not so enough for us. Breakfast was good with a great selection. While certainly the rate is low, you would still expect a minimum level of service and comfort from an SPG property. Unfortunately this is not the case here. The club lounge is possibly the worst I have seen in any hotel and why the hotel even bother to offer is unclear when I can't see anyone wanting to use it. Offers a limited selection of what appears to be left over cakes and bread from breakfast and no tea/coffee facilities. Also it's unattended. Gym is small but fit for purpose. The only... Read more

We stayed two days in this hotel and it was like we have been in two completely different places, the first day it was a disaster, nobody to help you with the cases, long wait in checking with people waiting around uninterested, unfriendly checking and at dinner, even if empty we had to wait over 30 minutes per dish for basic dishes. The second day was completely different people much more helpful, polite, attentive and diligent. A couple of other things to improve. The swimming pool didn't not ... Read more

My husband and I were taking an extended vacation in Bahia and started our trip here. Everything was pleasant and as expected with this brand. The exceptional portion was the breakfast, it was excellent. Perhaps the best offerings that we had our entire stay. I'd stay here again. It was not close to the beaches though, if that is a concern for others.
