Check-in was easy and everyone was very friendly and customer service oriented. My room was clean and suitable for my needs and very no-frills, but there was a refrigerator/mini-bar and toiletries in the bathroom. I didn't have an ocean view, but I didn't need one as I was hardly in the room. The neighborhood is a good one with lots of good, local restaurants. There isnā??t much shopping; however, I took a cab to the big shopping mall about 20 minutes away. I also wouldnā??t stay here for ... Read more

I have no bad things to say about this hotel. When we arrived there we were sure we picked the right place to be. We got 2 rooms at the 7th floor. Everything was perfect, comfortable bed, very well decorated, all the amenities made the difference. Breakfast is OK, we spent 4 nights and decided to try different places. Room service very good and the most amazing thing the POOL, great view to the ocean, FABIANA the bartender always there to take care of us, she gave to us good suggestions of place... Read more

This has a privileged site on the sea with a beautiful swimming pool and good service and good breakfast buffet. Our room was high up and had a spectacular view. The down side(at least in our apartment) was related to worn fixtures and chipped furniture. Those things did not take away from stay but made us wonder if they are cutting back on maintenance. e.g. looking down on the pool cabana from the hotel it is obvious that numerous wooden shingles on its roof are missing. That and our worn do... Read more

We came to Salvador for the Yamanja Festival and the location of this hotel, on the beach and 10 minutes from the main events was wonderful. The rooms were clean, nice, room service very good, Breakfast buffet was very good. We liked the idea to be so near the festival beach and the whole city was something special.

the hotel is comfortable, good breakfast and I had one of the recently refurbished rooms which is a much better layout than previously. the real complaints are that they have persisted with the Brazilian electrical plugs rather than an international one and that the bathrooms are still small. It is a good location and generally value for money.

This hotel is very disorganized. First, I especilfically ask for an early check-in and my request is ignored. Then they ask me to pay half a day to go in earlier, which is fine, but it took 2 hours to get the room ready and I only spent 3h30 more in it. If you order for room service expect it to take a lot more than expected. Same thing at the restaurant that opens kinda late for people in business trips. Finally, when I was checking out I was billed for a bottle of wine that I allegedly had o... Read more

Very enjoyable stay at this hotel in Salvador - rooms were spacious and clean lovely view of the ocean, pool and outdoor area were always clean and well maintained, plenty of clean towels for the sun loungers. Sauna and gym were available but we didn't use them preferred to soak up the sun. Although there was a great view of the ocean the sea immediately outside the hotel is not suitable for swimming as it is very rocky. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help and offer advise. Wa... Read more

The hotel is great, with a great ocean view, in one of the best neighbours in Salvador (Rio Vermelho). Breakfast very good, with traditional Brazilian food. The only bad thing, in my point of view, was the bed, which could be more comfortable. The staff is also very very kind.

My experience was not good. My wife was alone at the moment of check-in. An employee asked for her e-mail, and she told her. After 3 hours, my wife received an Accor LeClub Hotels' e-mail with information "complete your registration". It was a shame because we travel together, so all points are added to my account. We told the manager our problem. He is very polite, but a trouble was made. Our check-out delayed because the employee had added our points to the account unduly created... Hotel is v... Read more

Positive points: good staff and localization, near to good points in Salvador! Negative point: if you want to rest and to watch tv, you do not have many option for channels (only 5 good channels and other Brazilian channel unknown). Terrible to be in bedroom!

LOCATION & ATTRACTIONS NEARBY *** Located on the beachfront of Rio Vermelho, close to many shops and local restaurants and also several bus lines (including tourist open-top bus). Mercure is attached to its sister hotel Ibis, but has separate entry and itā??s facing the beach. Itā??s few km from Salvadorā??s old town, but you can reach it by local bus or taxi (one day I even walked there, which was nice, but long walk, haha). There are taxis in front of the hotel and also airport bus stops on th... Read more
