Roοms a little dated and feel damp. All balconies are decent size and all have ocean views. All staff are very warm and welcoming. Nice and healthy breakfast even though the omelette corner is extremely busy and you can easily wait for 15 mins for your omelette/waffle. Wifi connection is pretty bad. Swimming pool is very nice. Nice hotel is general but if you wish to go out to clubs and restaurant on copacabana, Barra is very far

The last time I visited this hotel was March of last year, and it had been bought by Radisson. Well, it recently went back to being a Sheraton but after a couple of years of Radisson charging exhorbitant prices and not investing a penny towards maintenance and upkeep. Six years ago I gave this property five stars. Last year, two and this month, I feel the hotel has hit an all-time low. Everything is shabby and unkempt; cracks, missing paint, musty smells. The women's locker room has door lo... Read more

Ok so they are renovating right now, and I am sure it is going to be great once it is done...... But I just can't understand how they let it get so run down in the first place. Why would they damage their brand? Terrible damp musty smell in my room and throughout the hotel. Carpet so old that it had lost any softness and it was like walking on textured concrete. Timber mouldings pulling away from the wall in many places. Felt like I was in a bad American movie circa 1982. Because I reckon... Read more

I come regularly to the area and usually stay at the Windsor. This time I decided to try the Sheraton and it is just bad. The lobby is ok, and the room I got was quite big but the place smells like nasty mold it really is hard to stay there. It is unfortunate because the service was ok. Also some small details such is the Internet not having enough power to reach my room, or having to call for a room service menu that was missing. Anyway, not sure I will be back despite how often I come to Barra... Read more

Stayed here on a short break, the hotel though undergoing refurbishment was comfortable and clean. Great buffet breakfast keeps you going for the day, helpful concierge will organise all tours and excursions. overall a very nice hotel, the rooms are somewhat tired but it is being refurbished. would live to return when refurbishment is completed in 2018.
