I had the pleasure of staying at this Extraordinary Hotel in Prime Copacabana location. Very upscale Hotel under going more renovations. The proximity to Beach cannot be beat. Hotel Manager JUSTYN was just a pleasure and professional person to meet. He made my and my new Fiance's stay more than super special. Breakfast was great and the Staff were more than helpful in ever way. The only item of improvement I could say is the TV network channels. Channels were not clear and the reception coul... Read more

Great location on beach. Paid for Ocean View room which had fabulous view of the beach and bay. The hotel rooms are not new and smart but comfortable and provide everything you need. Lift renovation taking place which will hopefully improve security as currently free access to all floors from lobby lifts - no card needed. The pool area looked good though we didnt use it. We were able to have breakfast on the 30th floor which was nice. Very quiet- good buffet and great views. We also took... Read more

Having danced the night away in a club nearby we could see daylight breaking. We visited the rooftop of this hotel to see the stunning sunrise over copacabana beach. A truly memorable experience. The staff at the hotel were friendly and took no issue with us being non guests visiting the pool area to see the sunset.

The Rio Othon Palace overlooks Copacabana beach. It is about a ten to fifteen minute walk to get to Ipanema beach from the hotel. The Rio metro is also close should you want to go to other parts of the city. The breakfast buffet is pretty good (although it can get very busy at times). My room was a good size and faced on to the beach. Some parts of the hotel could be doing with updating to the 21st century. Note the various other comments on the lift performance in other reviews. Amazing rooms. Unfortunately I had a broken foot so loved the fact that the room was very spacious. Gigantic comfortable bed and we could see the sea from our balcony. The breakfast buffet had a huge variety of cooked and traditional foods. We spent a lot of time by the swimming pool on the roof. What amazing views. We booked this last minute through Bookings.com and got a brilliant rate. Will definitely be back her again.

In the heart of Copacabana, this hotel is in an excellent location, offering nice rooms and pleasant common spaces. There is a pleasant small rooftop pool with bar, and a spacious (and often very busy) breakfast restaurant. The staff is very helpful and kind. All in all, it is a great place to stay if you want to visit Rio, at an affordable price.

I am an expat living in Brasilia and this hotel is wonderful. Just enough elegance and style to make your stay a relaxing one. Rooms are clean and comfortable and we loved our ocean view balcony. This is a large, modern hotel, well situated on the Copacabana 'strip'. The location proved very noisy as the windows did not exclude all the commotion from the busy roads below. The lifts were very slow in arriving and it was very frustrating to have to wait so long for one to arrive. The shower was seldom hot and often tepid. The hotel is decent with nice staff and excellent breakfast with large variety. The view from the breakfast is incredible and makes you appreciate the breakfast even beyond the undoubted quality. On the negative side, the hotel needs renovation and cannot be considered as a real 5 star: maybe it used to be. Also, considering the Brazil's prices, one pays as a 5 star! Location of hotel is very good in Copacabana. Room had a noisy air conditioning and needed some upgrade. The rooftop bar has a very good view but the restaurant is medicocre. Breakfast is poor in options.
