Thank you Mr. Anderson, Mr. Franz and Mr. Fernandezfor all your kindness and help. Here's why: on Dec 31st we arrived in Rio de Janeiro, looking forward to spending New Years Eve on the beach. Then at check-in we had to face the fact that we had booked for 31st of January - bugger! Mr Anderson did his utmost to help us finding another room for the night. We could take all the time we needed in the lobby and use the wifi for free.Eventually we stayed in a hotel 7mins walk away from Orla Copacaba... Read more

Great facility, super people, could not be better! We were treated like royalty, and will not consider any other hotel when we return to this paradise! Sitting on the roof at the end of a great day was a treat! The central location made it easy to get to the tourist attractions and the beach. The rooms were very clean, and wonderfully maintained;

Shared a room with a girl friend. let her checkout without splitting any fees made me pay the entire stay when I checked out which I had proof of paid room.They added her room charges to mine! manager threatened to call the cops on me and swore at me because they they didn't charge my gf before she checked out? stupid hotel staff, and the owner is an IDIOT! no windows facing a brick wall while construction was happening our entire stay! Pool was closed the entire stay. trust me pay the extra 100... Read more

We found hotels in Rio de Janeiro and in Brazil in general very expensive and out of date, the Orla offered a reasonable rate and has a good location so we went for it. Our room had a great view over Copacabana and was fine for the price paid. Nothing memorable but breakfast was above average. Just another hotel really, no complaints but nothing extra ordinary either.

Rio de Janeiro is one of the iconic places in the world to be on New Year's Eve and that being the case hotel prices are pretty hefty - particularly in hotels along the Copacabana Beach. That being the case, comparatively speaking, the Orla offered reasonable value - albeit the New Year's Eve dinner was hugely expensive but the guests who attended were afforded an amazing view of the firework display from the rooftop terrace of the hotel without having the brave the million or so people throngin... We were at the Orla for a few days visiting Rio and we had a good experience, most of the staff speaks English fluently. The room was clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, small bar but great bartender. The only downside is the lack of a skimmer in the swimming pool.

Spend a night in this hotel is a nightmare the personal of the hotel are not welcoming at all and once in the room we were in front of machines with a very strong noise so it was impossible to sleep. Very bad experience

My husband and I stayed here in Sept 2015 for 7 nights. We loved this hotel and would stay here again in the future when we come back to Rio. The location was perfect! Right across the street from the Copacabana beach and a few blocks away from Ipanema beach. We mostly hung out at Copacabana because of its convenience. We could just go back and forth from the beach to our hotel throughout the day. The hotel room itself was a good size and clean, as well as the bathroom. Staff were a little... Read more

The good points are the roof top sun deck with incredible views,the location, the extensive choice for breakfast, the very large comfortable bed and the helpful staff especially the manager. The niggles were the rather cramped breakfast room, the very small pool,no sightseeing trips / excursion leaflets on display and the few they did have behind the desk did not contain much information ( we ended up booking all our trips on Viator) An important note for those going to the beach, do not leave y... The Orla is a good buy along the Copacabana Beach. Clean rooms, nice roof-top patio overlooking the beach, friendly and helpful staff that speak English. My wife and I stayed for a few nights just after the 2016 Summer Olympics. Despite busy tourism the Orla felt comfortable and accommodating. We asked the front desk for help a number of times and they always took good care of us. Most important when you don't speak the local language.
