Very near to the Santos airport, not more than 15-20 minutes by taxi. Near to the main beaches, its a walkable distance, near to multiple clubs and restro bars with people singing and enjoying on weekends (weekend here starts from Friday 04:00 PM)..:) Great and vibrant city with many things to do..!!

There are only a few good hotels in downtown Rio and this is among the better ones. Next to the airport and in a walking distance to the center you might consider this one if touristim around and beaches are not among your priorities.

I had a meeting downtown and for that purpose ,location is good otherwise it's the worst place to stay in rio, also very close to santa casa and other hospitals i needed to go, concierge is very attentive, room is ok, breakfast is good but food is not replace, food in the room is tasteless, don't walk near the hotel, very dangerous

I use to stay at this Hotel in most of my business trips to Rio and it is very conveniently located for this purpose, close to the domestic airport and within walking distance to the financial center. Nice installations, courteous reception staff, only drawback is still the restaurant services, very slow and in this stay with the "rechaud" equipment not working properly that led to the buffet dishes being cold.

It is a very typical business hotel - close the curtains and you could be in any city on earth. The place could do with some redecoration, but overall no complaints. The breakfast was much better than I expected with a good range, and cooked to order eggs. Very convenient for the domestic airport. We walked it in the daytime in about 5 minutes, although I'd use the shuttle bus at night as the roads around feel a bit sketchy.

About 5 a 10 min from airport Santos Dumont, The Hotel is very clean, the lobby there is a pub, the service is nice, The park is about 35 reais and the breakfasts as well, the strong point about it is the room ,very sophisticate and the bathroom too relaxing, If I can I`d stay again there!

Location is very good, close to downtown, business buildings and airport. The room was cozy, despite its size (not so huge). Bathroom clean and gadgets worked well (hair dryer and shower). Amenities ok. Although it's not included on the rate, there was a very good variety of items for breakfast. Hotel structure seems to be fine. Vallet parking service is a plus; however, BRL 30 for only one night was expensive for a guest hosted on that hotel.

It is a good option close to Santos Dumont airport and Rio de Janeiro downtown. New installation, clean, and a very honest price. There are only one issue and you must be pacient: breakfast! Dirty tables, lack of food and a big mess! Waiters are always trying to fix problems but it is a constant issue. Other than that it could bet 4 stars!

What to expect w this Novotel. Walkable to local airport. However, You will not hear any airport noise! Beautiful hotel. Great restaurant-atmosphere, quality of food and pricing. Clean and modern hotel rooms. The area aside from being close to the airport does not pack in any excitement. A little park, I believe an opera house which never appeared to be open to tour, a few places to eat, one store to shop. That's about it. W the Olympic Games coming the train has easy signage to get you where yo... Read more

Very good restaurant however a bad experience in restaurant. Delay to attend, delay to prepare drink, delay to bring the bill and there is no wine in the menu. Very bad experienc in the restaurant. Idont recommend. And the only option to eat around (without take a taxi) is the Ibis. ( that is been the best option comparing to novotel)

Novotel standard on acomodation. New hotel. Good maintenance. Good location for business if you need to go to city centre. Horrible restaurant : No wine available ! Some plates on the menu were not available !! Food was verry poorly cooked !!! What about the service ? Worst ever.

The hotel is simply nothing special. One of the two elevators was out of service when I arrived, and the other one had a hard time reading my room card. No bottled water offered in the room but it did at least have an electric teakettle and teabags. Decor is very bland, and room service staff left a cart full of used trays right outside my room every day. Breakfast is also nothing special. The scrambled eggs were runny, and the meal was strictly self-service. One good thing - can't hear the pla... Read more

Wifi is excruciatingly slow and useless for business needs. In the evenings, speed test revealed that download speed was 0.92 Mbps. I was warned that wifi was overtaxed at checkin. It's clear that the hotel isn't investing in enough bandwidth. This was not a wi-fi signal problem. Otherwise a typical novotel business hotel in a business area. It's a quick uber ride to entertainment areas of Lapa, Santa Teresa, or Botafogo. A/C is a mini-slit unit and is very very loud. Haven't tried breakfast ... Read more

Nice business like hotel! Good food I thought it was a little difficult to get to Barra from there but on the other hand it's always difficult to go from one place to the other in Rio. But the staff was very nice and professional.

I have been three times at this hotel. Rooms are decent and breakfast good. But each time the Sauna didn't work. It takes forever to heat up and turns off itself several times during the heat up phase. I asked each time whether it can be possible to have this fixed when I left; when I arrived I was told it works, not true. I think the service staff does not have a clue what they are talking, highly recommend to train them better so maybe one day they are able to answer questions correctly. ... Read more
