The girl of the reception (with tattoos) give you a really bad treatment. They are not friendly at all. The bathrooms where awful specially the one of the second floor of the main house. Good breakfast and excellent location. It's expensive for the location.

Not bad, but nothing special...windows don't close properly, so lots of mosquitoes make their way in your room...decent breakfast in nice lounge area at the back by a small pool. The only thing we weren't happy about was we were told we had the place for at least 1 more nite, but when we woke up, was told our room was booked and they didn't seem very sorry for their error. Wasn't thrilled about having to look for another place and they weren't very helpful in assisting to find another suitable... Read more

I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Rio. The room was comfortable, functional and the AC worked well. The rooms all seem to be close to communal areas so at times I could hear people chatting. This didn't bother me but if you would prefer silence this might not be best for you. Free Wifi is included and it works both in the rooms and communal areas. The staff were friendly and helpful. I did have a couple of issues with communication of transfers but the staff were helpful to so... Read more

Perfect place for a stay in Rio, if you want to meet new people from around the world. The location is probably one of the best one if you want to access Ipanema, Copacabana, and Lagoa quite easily. The breakfast is maybe a little bit limited, but they have nice coffee, a cat and a pool. Their communal spaces definitely are the highlights of the house, a really enjoyable to sit and relax.

Stayed here with a friend over the carnival period. I had lots of communication with Paloma before we arrived, she was so helpful. Some of the other staff were not so friendly and helpful. We were given a 6 bed mixed dorm near to the pool table. It seemed that our dorm was the only one with no air con, which resulted in the windows and shutters being open the whole time. This would have been fine, but we were on the ground floor and felt like we were in a fishbowl. Every time someone went ... Read more
