One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Clean rooms, really good breakfast, close to the beach and best of all - incredibly helpful staff! Especially Simone who helped us with everything. Would definitely recommend and go here again myself.

The hotel is very simple, the food at breakfast was ok, but the service, we found, was great. We originally were put in a room with a view out the window of an air duct.... we were moved upon request to a room with a window that faced outside and we got one. Air Con isn't great at this hotel, but it's a good location. I wouldn't stay here again but if you are on a budget go for it... Also, the pool and the "gym" don't exist. the "pool" is a small tub on the roof, good for a quick soak I guess and... Read more

This hotel offers great value for money. The location is excellent but the service and friendliness of staff is what makes it. We arrived very early in the morning before a room was available but the staff welcomed us, offered us somewhere to change, towels for the beach.. Made us feel welcome and at home after an overnight flight. Thanks Simone! Our room was clean and spacious enough. Our safe did not work but within minutes of reporting it a competent friendly technician was at the door and af... Read more

Arrived after reading numerous TripAdvisor reviews and deciding on this hotel. Ordered room service as soon as we arrived as had been travelling for 7 hours. After a 50 minute wait it arrived. Below mediocre, both meals were the wrong meals ordered. After numerous calls to room service to rectify the order unsuccessfully, went down to reception and waited 25 minutes to speak to someone about the problem. We're called after returning to the room and told the meals would be half an hour to rectify... Read more

You know, hotels let themselves down the World over. This is a good hotel: + Location + Value + Staff - when not booking a taxi + Good Rooms/shower/size/wifi/bed + Good breakfast BUT then they go and screw up. We ordered from the Concierge at 0842 a taxi for four - big enough for bags as well, to take us to the Airport at 1745. BY 1800 did not come - with the afternoon concierge/reception asking if we had indeed booked a taxi. They have no system and handover (basic school boy) so no pro... Read more

Location is good just a couple of blocks from the beach in Copacabana. The Wi-Fi is fee and quite fast. The breakfast is pretty good with a choice of cereals, breads, cakes etc. Now the bad side...It's so noisy. You can hear everything going on the the small hallway, tv's in rooms. Then to top it all construction starts at 0700 from the hotel next door. We were on the 10th floor and others in our Gadventures tour on lower floors complained about the street noise. Our room also had a "window" in... Read more

The hotel is EXTREMELY well located - next to restaurants, Copacabana beach, the bus to Barra da Tijuca passes right in front of it and it is close to the metro. The double bed is huuuuge - tip: ask for the corner rooms! Breakfast is very complete and they have an amazing onion soup to order in your room. Definitely worth it.

Stayed here at the end of a tour for two nights. The hotel is very well located just two blocks or a few minutes walk from Copacabana beach and on a main street with shops, restaurants and ATM close by. The hotel is perfectly adequate for most types of travellers. The rooms are big with all of the necessary requirements for a mid range hotel. The WiFi is reliable and pretty fast and can be accessed all over the hotel. The breakfast is served in the restaurant with plenty of seating and a very... Read more

Hotel is comfy but with a couple of small adjustments could be so much better. One is the aircon - it's soooo noisy!! Ended up not really using it because of the noise which then meant the room was hot and uncomfortable. If you had windows open then city noise was a bit much. With windows closed though there wasn't much external noise. The second problem was noise from within hotel. Lots of noise from adjacent rooms, room upstairs, noise from the corridor/lift area. These two problems meant t... Read more

I found this hotel to be in need of some updates, but overall we felt very safe and the staff was all so helpful! This is an older hotel with a pretty lobby that has good air conditioner. The room air conditioner was not as efficient as the one in the lobby. We stayed somewhat hot and even uncomfortable at times because of the unideal temperature in the room. Our specific room did have a view of Cristo Redentor! The staff helped us book a futbol game with a tour group (recommended for fore... Read more

Booked accommodations on line for per tour experience "South America (Rio to LaPaz) with six other travelers on our annual get away somewhere in the world. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent great to a great day. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone. Great beginning to a great trip.

The best two things of this hotel are the great variety for breakfast or what Brasileans calls of "café da manhã", I really enjoyed every days that, and also the location, because it's very near of Copacabana beach

The location is perfect in that the beach is only 3 short blocks away, however, the hotel is located on a major thoroughfare and rooms on the south side are quite noisy, day and night. There are rooms with a small window opening on a type of shaft that are much preferable, though there is no view, but you don't come to Rio to stay in a hotel room. Breakfast is very good, but not the ... coffee!

I stayed here for just under three weeks while working at the Olympics. It's a slightly faded hotel, the decor could do with updating, but the rooms were big and comfortable and clean. Wifi solid. Location-wise the hotel is great, about 10 minutes from Siqueira Campos metro and about 10 minutes from the beach with a whole bunch of bars, shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good with excellent scrambled eggs! While we were there there was a small fire in the kitchen but they got it bac... Read more

This hotel is well located in Rio, close to the Copacabana beach and those who enjoy walking can easily get to Ipanema as well. The staff were really friendly helpful and the breakfast was good. The room was good but mine faced the street and I found it very noisy and the air conditioning didn't work one night. The rooftop pool is good but very tiny - I don't think more than three people could be in it at a time!
