I booked this hotel after I thought I had booked another hotel Copacabana palace but my credit card declined it cause it was out of the country; so for about 5 days I didn't realize I didn't pay for my hotel there and when I realized it wasn't paid for I panicked and booked this place even though reviews were not that great. One plus was that it was only 2 blocks from the Copacabana beach and everything is around there restaurants stores etc. The maid who cleaned my room was very good but do not... Read more

The hotel is on a small side street calm and quite. The location is perfect. You will find the Copacabana and lot of nice restaurants /bars just a few blocks away. It will take you 10-15 minutes to walk to the place ( Plaza Lido) there you can by ticket and shuttle too the Christos monument and to the local bus stop ( bus 581) who will take you to the Sugar mountain in 10 minutes. Where is also an underground station in the area (5 minutesā?? walk). we took it to Centro and joined a "Free Walkin... Read more

Stayed here on a work trip for 2 weeks. I had one of their small studio rooms which was certainly compact but had all i needed. it was clean, air/con worked well (it was 38 degrees most of the time!), good cold fridge, firm comfortable bed, and clean working bathroom. Breakfast included in room rate was great and always fresh, open buffet. I used the "business centre" quite a bit - one desktop and printer but given most where there on holidays there was never a queue. Free wifi throughou... Read more

Great convenient location near Copacabana Beach. Hotel single room basic and small but did the job for single traveller on a budget. Very helpful English speaking staff. A relief especially in Brazil where English is not a widely spoken language. Great Buffet Breakfast included in the room price.

old and worn out furniture, location is ok, wifi works. not a bad option when they have a discounted rate, but at full rate its definitely not worth it. like most hotels in rio they need to improve!!!

If you book a single room here, they mean it. My room had about 5 sm. Because they obviously think that as a single in Rio you dont want to waste time in your room, there is no chair no table no desk. Just a small bed, a fridge,aTV and a small wardrobe. Apart from this the room was clean as was the bathroom. The breakfast is good, the staff was friendly. The location is very good, close to Copacabana beach, close to the Metro and some nice local restaurants around.

Every time a person visited me, albeit for a minute or an hour; hotel tried to charge me a guest fee. Management are thieves - stay away. Buffet free breakfast inedible and they didn't have coffee. They say they have bilingual staff, but I couldn't find anybody that some English. When I told them I would not pay their extortion fee, they threaten to call police. I am a very very experienced traveler, worst experience ever.

I can't imagine that if a pay $160 i will receive this kind of room. This room is 1 star hotel and the price is for 4star. When I compliment anybody take care. You must wait 5 minutes for hot watter at the bath

I got a laundry closet of a room with a single bed, no view of the street or ocean. I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star. Pathetic service n gave me really poor exchange rates. Save yourself the money n find a better hotel.

Nice place, kind and well organized. The room was pretty little, definitely little for 100 euros each day, but the swimming pool and the academy made me happy at the end. The position is perfect, 100 meters to copacabana beach and the agenda atlantica that is the principal in this area of the city.

Location of hotel is perfect, just a couple of blocks away from Copacabana beach, but the rooms are not even close of what they look like in the pictures, they are not bad, but it was sold to me as a 4 star hotel, and it is not, is just a 3 star economy hotel. Maybe i was expecting a little more.

I stayed here a few years ago. I am re-visiting Rio soon and this hotel came up again on my search. The single budget room I booked was very poor and I refused to stay in it. They moved me to a double room at MORE THAN twice the original price. Breakfast was good a d filling. Doormen were EXCELLENT-each day I told them where I intended visiting, asked them if it was safe and they advised me accordingly. The hotel is just a couple of streets behind Copa beach. I asked the receptionist to direct m... Read more

We spent 3 nights here, the first being our first night in Brazil after a long flight from Europe. We got there around 9PM and the double room we booked was not available... we were clearly heavily disappointed, they offered either to move to another hotel or to spend that night in 2 single rooms. We went for the last option, being too tired to move elsewhere. The single rooms were awful: almost only space for a single bed and nothing more! The day after they moved us on a double room on the sam... Read more
