We stayed two nights and loved the experience. The rooms are nice; the common areas delightful and the position quite incredible. Going to Iguacu, you should stay here. The service at all levels was terrific - they even cleaned my muddy boots for me. But after 6.00 PM you essentially have the falls from the Brazilian side to yourself - and incredible experience..

After a 3 month tour of Latin America, this was the highest class hotel we stayed in by a long way. The staff worked very hard to maintain the wow factor and were extremely helpful, the facilities are the best we encountered and the location (which is why you're there) could not be bettered. The ability to visit the falls alone after the hoards have gone, or before they arrive, makes any minor issues seem irrelevant and the hotel can help you with activities and transfers to Argentina etc. if ne... This hotel is worth the money for the location inside the National Park and the fact that you can easily walk to all the Falls on the Brazilian side without a guide. Don't bother with a guide as only one easy trail. Also, even better-you can go down out of park hours. We got up at 7am and had the falls totally to ourselves. It was utterly magical and only on our walk back did we see a few more people from the hotel coming down. A total contrast to the bus loads of people later that day. The hotel ... Read more

The second you arrive at the main, you know you are going to be taken care of. The staff are just wonderful and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful Spanish colonial style with the magnificent iguacu falls opposite hotel. Food outstanding. Staff beautiful and helpful, it's on to the best places we have ever visited. We couldn't bare to leave after 3 nights, so we stayed on an extra night. Would have stayed for the full 3 weeks if I hadn't a planned itinerary. Will be back at some point to stay agai... Read more

This place is a little slice of heaven in the middle of the Brazilian rain forest. The only hotel within the actual park on the Brazil side and within sight of the falls themselves. We were met at the gate by Gabriel who was very welcoming and super friendly, he gave us lots of information about the hotel and the surroundings. The first contact is always important and Gabriel did a wonderful job, a real credit to his employers. In fact every staff member we encountered was attentive and could... Read more

It doesn't get much better than this. Gorgeous property/public spaces. Stunning views. Impeccable service. Surprisingly good food. Fabulous pool. Good spa. Fun things to do. And then there are the waterfalls and rainbows, which take your breath away. The rooms were nothing special, but if you come to Iguacu to stay in your room, you probably shouldn't plan a trip to Iguacu.

My husband and I stayed at Belmond das Cataratas for 3 nights and it was great. The location is prime and the service and friendliness of the hotel employees was first class. We had a great time. We used their tour service and their prices were comparable or the same as the original park prices but with private transfers included. The breakfast buffet was great. The only con was diner time, they require reservations for the a la cartel restaurant and one day it was booked. Fortunately their room... Read more

When you wake up at Das Cataras, you think you've died and gone to heaven. The surrounds with the view of the falls look like the garden of Eden and the hotel itself is beautifully designed in Portuguese colonial style. Truly comfortable public spaces, particularly outside overlooking the falls, make it a place you don't want to leave. Staff are excellent, rooms are comfortable, tho no tea or coffee...is that just a British thing? Pool area is fabulous and the staff look after you excellently. A... Read more

Wow! We sort of fell into this accommodation by accident, but it was far more than what I refer to as "an unexpected pleasure" ... This is a beautiful, grand, pink hotel and they go the extra mile to see that you are comfortable and pampered. The rooms are gorgeous, the property is lovely, and our room overlooked a touch of the Falls ... which are accessible just outside the front entrance of the hotel. Their upscale dining room, just off the lobby, has a staff hired only to please and to provid... Read more
