The Reefs has an excellent location directly on a beach and rocky points of the south shore mid-way on the island, and so I agree with others that there is no bad room at the Reefs, although I would avoid any room with a view of a palm tree before the ocean view. However, the staff at the hotel should receive kudos for their personal service and attention to all aspects of the guests and property. I highly recommend the hotel for a honeymoon, anniversary celebration, or any kind of vacation.

The pictures of The Reefs you find online do not do it justice. We arrived on Christmas night and were greeted by the friendly staff and given a complimentary drink. Woke up the next morning with the most spectacular view of the ocean. The beach was gorgeous, with fluffy white sand and you can borrow their kayaks, life jackets, snorkel gear, paddle board free of charge. Not many people swam, since the water was cold, but I'm sure it would be nice and warm during the summer. I swam anyways and it... Read more

The location and views are unbelievable-but the rest (staff/rooms) left much to be desired. When we checked in, we were told breakfast was included and we were given timings. AFTER the first breakfast we had, we were told it was actually not included in our stay-no offer to compensate us for their mistake. Also when we first entered the room there was hair in the sink and bathroom-disgusting because it was so obvious. The safe in our room was not working, their staff replaced it with another saf... We traveled here after Christmas with our adult children. It was absolutely beautiful and the hotel is amazing. This feels more like a boutique hotel and couldn't be in a better location. Our room was poolside view but we had a full view of the ocean. Waking up to the waves each morning was wonderful

Rooms on top floors have best views but any room has amazing views at this hotel. Family owned and friendly and relaxing!! Not a touristy or party type atmosphere. You come to the reefs to relax. staff is amazing and attentive. Many great amenities and the food is amazing.

We arrived December 1. After dinner I took ill with diarrhea for the next two days. December 4 I am fine cause I stayed away from the dining room. Dec 4 we go to dinner and my wife takes ill-vomit and nausea as we speak. The hotel takes no responsibility so I call Bermuda Health and now they have taken on the issue. Met with rep today to explain what happened. They will investigate. Our holiday is on hold until my wife gets better and we leave December 8. Only three days left

My wife and I were a little worried about Bermuda weather in late November, but we need not have. We were at the Reefs Wednesday to Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. As always (this was our 9th trip there), everything about the visit was excellent. Needed a chill-out long weekend and boy did we get one. The accommodations were excellent, the food in each of the two restaurants (Coconuts - lunch only this time of year; and Ocean Echo) was amazing, with even a turkey/ham dinner on Thanksgiving. We stayed in one of the clifftop rooms overlooking the private bay. We were lucky with sunshine every day. The room was lovely, although we didn't like the step down in the room to use the sofa or balcony, as it was too close to one side of the really comfortable bed. The food was great and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially since my husband wanted a particular newspaper, which they then had printed off for him as there wasn't one available. Food is quite expensive o... Read more

I was spoiled to stay at this lovely hotel with a private beach and a gorgeous inifinity pool overlooking the Atlantic. The sand was beautiful and after visiting a "public" beach at the Dockyards where I had to pay $5 to sit on glass and cigarettes and garbage.. I would recommend the splurge and staying here. Don't miss the afternoon tea with beautiful scones and Chantilly cream and the breakfast waffles.
