This hotel has everything you need for a great stay in San Pedro. It's not in the town centre which is good because San Pedro was a bit busy and crazy for us but great for younger visitors. It's clean with good rooms - we had a suite with small kitchen area, a comfy bed and a balcony. There's a nice little pool and helpful staff. We hired a golf buggy so my fly fishing husband could explore all the best fishing spots. Ate in various places - all were good - but for the best jerk chicken for $7US... Read more

Overall, a very nice hotel with all the necessities. Nice quiet location south of town, but walkable to everything. Couple good restaurants within walking distance. Nice number of rooms- staff are attentive with planning trips- wifi upgraded and accessible from the rooms. We had a nice balcony for relaxing and watching the water. Rooms are small but comfortable- fridge is a nice bonus. Continental breakfast is basic, but good coffee and fresh fruit. Dock is awesome for pickups for snorkeli... Read more

The rooms were clean and a decent size but we had a family of 4 staying in a room with a king bed and a pull-out queen/double. The room arrangement was a bit odd as the pull-out jammed right up against the bed (which couldn't be moved). Pull-out was old, dirty and rusty but maybe that can't be helped being near salt water. A bit of a hike into town but manageable. The main disappointment was the hotel beach has slowly been eroding leaving very little area to sit. It's right next door to some... Read more

We stayed here for a few nights during our first visit to San Pedro. It's a pretty little resort with a small beach and some nice amenities. Free bikes are available and golf carts for rent. Free breakfast (rolls, juice and coffee) is served each morning on the bar outside. The pool is small but clean and refreshing. Wifi was good enough for email and imessaging but not great for down or uploading. Small fridges in the rooms. Good AC. Staff is responsive but not especially interested. W... Read more

We stayed in S6, right on the beach. Very crisp, cool and clean. Comfortable King bed, and a nice large shower. The air conditioning worked perfectly. We spent 7 nights here, and loved every minute. The Squirrel's Nest was a great place for a drink and a cheap hot dog. Diving with Ramon's was a great experience and they would pick us up on our own dock.

We just got back and had a great time. Service was great. We rented golf carts at the resort. Walking distance to grocery store and great restaurants. My only complaint is that the bathroom (shower and toilet) was small. Other than that it was a great resort!

The staff are friendly, efficient and able to help with recommendations should you request. I'm glad I saw a prior review which advised to upgrade to a sea facing view - so worth it, the hotel is located right on the beach and breakfast is served on the poolside/beachside bar each morning. Breakfast is simple but sufficient, just toast, fruits, juice and coffee which serve yourself. This suited me as I just needed something quick before an early morning start for diving. The room was spacious an... Read more

This is our second time staying here. We love the location. We can walk to town or ride bikes. Renting a golf cart is easy too. We stayed in an upstairs junior suite with an ocean view. This room had a small refrigerator, microwave, stove top, AC, beautiful view of the ocean. They do a great job keeping the rooms and property up. The pool is really nice. This is a small resort. Not very many rooms so it feels quaint. There are several great places to eat across the street and over a few doors. T... Read more

Me and my partner chose well here, the small size of the resort was ideal for us as we like peace and quiet. We spent to weeks made lots of friends, staff were all great. And Belize is amazing. So chilled out. Would love to live here one day!

Room was just large enough for my family of 4 . The fold out couch was not the most comfortable but it worked out perfect for our teenage son . My wife daughter and I slept on the king size bed with room to spare . The kitchen was excellent it had everything we needed to cook what ever we brought from the nearby market .Bikes were in good shape we took them out twice in the week we were there . The bathroom was nice and clean . The only gripe we had was the mini split unit leaked water into the ... Read more

Lovely 13 rooms right on the water, every room with a ocean and pool view. We had a suite with a small kitchen and loved the walks directly into town. The free use of bikes was a great way to get around and the bar was simple and priced well. Loved being picked up on the dock for our diving adventures. The staff was great and the grounds immaculate.

We spent 10 awesome nights at Mata Rocks. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room, though small, was plenty efficient. The maid/grounds staff work consistently to keep things clean. We loved the small community atmosphere, and a bunch of us starting to refer to it as "Melrose Place"... small community w/ a pool in the center where we could meet our neighbors. A light breakfast was provided of toast, pastries, fruit, juice & coffee. Most people headed out for excursions seemed to be happ... Read more

My favorite part of staying here for 7 nights besides being a few feet from the Caribbean, was the staff! Especially Cherelynn. She has worked there for many many years. She was very helpful with telling us where things in town were and helping us plan things to do. She was great just sitting and chatting with at the bar (squirrels nest) and she makes a great drink (I put a pic of it on here) that she said it really doesn't have a name so I'm naming it after her. :)

Is a good place to stay at the south of the island, so you will need to rent a cart. The have bikes but you can only use it until 6 pm.Get a cart to move to the island, is no other way around. Make sue you secure your personal items like computers watch etc. We left the window half open at their bathroom with the scuba boots overnight and then they were gone ($usd 55). Place is clean and has no mayor damage from the hurricane. I recommend it for families and couples.

This hotel is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of chain hotels. All rooms have a direct view to the Caribbean Sea. The service is exceptional and you are made feel like you are family and not a paying guest. The water in the shower doesn't get extremely hot but it was a welcome treat after being out in the sun all day. We plan to visit Belize and this hotel again soon.

This is a very nice quiet hotel at the end of the main beach in San Pedro. That means it is about a 20 minute walk to the ferry and "downtown," so you are close to whatever you want there, but far enough way that the noise and crowds don't venture down this far. Nice small pool. Beach bar. You can walk into the ocean-- it actually has sand and a beach (which a lot of places don't). Also a pier. i just wish the bar would serve some kind of food--they really had nothing. [But don't miss the... Read more

I stayed here one night while on business. The room was clean and had quality fittings thru out. The pool was small but fine for size of hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided which was included in price of room was basic but enough to get your day started. Hotel was located a bit out from the center of San Pedro and you would need a taxi to get into town. Overall a good hotel if you are seeking a nice place to stay without the noise of being in the town.

Yes it is a intimate resort hotel that covers the basics well. Clean comfortable rooms with a great view and a nice beach front. I would also add that our room had the best bed we slept on during our trip to Belize. While we were staying they were rebuilding the Bar/service area damaged by the Hurricane the month before. They also had at least two rooms being remodeled so I am sure this affected our overall experience but it was still a pleasant and adequate experience. The staff was friendly an... Read more

... however, 24 hrs after arriving on the island we were in the SP ER, as I was being casted for a broken left patella (knee cap) sustained on the "black ice" of the concrete surrounding the resort pool (no horseplay was involved). Our 8 night stay was a bust! After finally arriving home to Ohio I emailed MR asking for their insurance company name so a liability claim for out of pocket medical expenses could be filed.Terry sent the name of their agent at RF&G Ins Co. Two weeks later, this agent... Read more

We stayed here in October, 2016 and had a pretty good stay. The rooms were very clean, as were the grounds. The small pool was great for a mid-day cool down dip. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, as well. We even met the owners and they were great too. The negatives. Like Most places on Ambergris Caye, the seagrass makes walking into the water daunting, lots of seagrass in piles on the little beach (very small since the hurricane). The rooms were beautiful, with good AC if that ma... Read more
