Great place to base out of for Tikal and ATM. Both tours were arranged by hotel staff and were fantastic! Room was modern and clean, WiFi adequate for our needs. Organic garden on premises as well as a small clan of egg laying chickens, check out how they start their plants too! Restaurant opens up early so you can grab a bite before your tour.

Ka'ana was the best choice for my quick weekend getaway. The small attention to details, helpful, friendly management and staff, Comfortable rooms, decor, ammenities all lent to a memorable time. I returned recharged and relaxed and will definitely return again soon!

Awesome and more chill. Room clean, team very accommodating overall wonderful. Everyone was very friendly. They treated us well even though we were locals, we do not get that level of service much any where once we travel within Belize.

My husband and I stayed at Ka'ana for our first half of our honeymoon and had a blast! From the moment we got there the staff treated us like family and made us feel right a home. The staff at Ka'ana is out of this world. Every single one of them is friendly and helpful. We had Brandon as our tour guide on all of our tours and loved him. He was knowledgeable and great through out our stay. Elito, Fiona, Julia, and Oscar were amazing and always had smiles on their faces every time when we went to... Read more

Everything can be summed up in the title. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Top service. Great location. I would definitely recommend. They also organize tours and activities. Just the perfect spot to visit this side of Belize.

The staff at Ka'ana were fantastic. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and our rooms were excellent. My family and I were very happy with the quality of this resort - we ate at the restaurant every day for breakfast and dinner and the staff were extremely accommodating in every way.

My fiancee and I had a wonderful stay at Ka'ana in May 2016. We loved the property, the pool, our room, and private outdoor shower. The staff were wonderful and prompt! The restaurant had many vegetarian options, which we appreciated. The cocktails were truly worthy of a hip NYC or LA bar.

The resort is nestled up near the Guatemala border. The staff, food, accommodations are all top notch. We had the 2 bedroom villa and our butler, Elito, was wonderful and always offering to help enhance and make our stay even more special.

A beautiful little gem near St. Ignacio and close to many of the attractions. The rooms are gorgeous and the fantastic staff is what makes this trip unique. If you have time, take the Mayan cooking class at the hotel. It is really a lot of fun and great way to learn about the culture of the Mayan people.

We stayed two nights in the balam room. The Grounds are well kept and the detail creates a nice boutique feel. If coming from Belize city the shuttle service was the way to go for a group. Easy pick up and we really liked Brandon! Added taxes of 12.5% and 10 % service fees are tacked on to the final bill. We found it interesting that they add nice touches in turn down service but felt as though they were nickel and diming on check out. Do your due diligence on tour pricing and excursions. They'r... Never have I had such service with smiles from everyone - we wanted to hug everyone there. The beautiful setting - the extremely adorable room - the exquisite service cannot be beat. I could have lived there forever - this place is a must on your bucket list - just do it.

We would highly recommend this resort. The service is amazing and the staff are very polite and always say hi when they see you. The adventures are extremely well guided and you can move through them at your own pace. Hint if you go do the Tikal experience it's totally worth it you get see a totally different country and a very cool Mayan site plus take in some local cuisine. If you choose to do this ask if your guide will take you to Flores after Tikal. The lake there is beautiful and there are ... Read more

I want to start by saying that this was the most amazing resort I have ever stayed at - from the accommodations, to the grounds, to the staff. My boyfriend is in the hospitality industry and we heard about the resort a few years back and instantly put it at the top of our list of places to visit. Having lived in the Caribbean for a few years, we wanted a different experience from the islands - we wanted to be submersed in the jungle. Upon arriving to the airport in Belize City, we realized t... Read more

This review is far overdue but here's the thing . . . two years later, I'm still impressed. My husband and I came to Ka'ana without our kids to relax. Mission accomplished. Ka'ana is beautiful. The food and drinks were out of this world. I wish I could get my hands on the lovely handmade soaps and lotions. They staff was incredibly friendly. Take the cooking class. That was a blast and ended with a romantic candlelit dinner. We sincerely hope to return one day. Enjoy!

We stayed here for two nights last week and absolutely loved it. Everything about this place is 5-stars - the service, the rooms, the decor. The restaurant and bar area was really well designed and the rooms had several classy touches to them. We were in their standard room and found it to be super spacious and a great choice considering we were on tours most of the days. If you are on a honeymoon or have a slower-paced trip the upgraded rooms are amazing too. We enjoyed the personal welcom... Read more

I am a person of details and Ka'ana sure knows how to take care of everything in details ! The staff were amazing, always smiling and caring and the rooms are luxurious yet simple and cosy. The food was incredible, although the plates were so big that I could never finish them. The place itself looks fantastic, the outdoor dim lights transform the jungle in a kind of magic land at night, it made me feel at home; and ... We had candles in our room !! This is a lovely resort--many great aspects--but I have to highlight the tour to Tikal that the resort arranged first and foremost. We are a family of four. I was really worried about traveling into Guatemala with the ongoing border dispute and tripadvisor reviews with stories of bandits and hijackings and general tourist trauma. Truly, we almost backed out after we'd paid because I was so scared! However, our Ka'ana guide Andy (and later, his Guatemalan counterpart, Genny) put me at ease, and... Read more

The Ka'ana resort is fantastic. I could not agree more with the nearly 600 reviewers who have given this an average rating of 5 stars. The staff is incredibly nice, polite, and accommodating. The rooms are houses into themselves with a hammock on the front porch and chairs on the back porch facing the jungle. The bathroom soaps smell outstanding. The grounds are well kept and carved out of the jungle so that the resort blends perfectly into the surroundings. My only regret is having tours b... Read more

This resort is a fantastic getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As soon as you arrive, there is a quiet luxury that surrounds you. This is not an opulent place, but rather a calming environment. The grounds are very well-maintained and take you away to a tropical feeling. The room was exquisite; well-appointed, nicely and tastefully designed. I also commend the food quality. Each meal was absolutely delicious. Our initial impression of Ka'Ana was absolutely incredible - the welcome was personable and warm and we felt like "the rich and famous". Our initial room - room #14 - was a let down of our expectations from the website, and from the initial welcome. It is not an appealing room, mostly because it is in the back of the property; it felt like we were in the "service quarters". Plus, the toilet wouldn't flush despite multiple visits by maintenance, and the shower handle fell off. After we were gener... Read more

My title is meant to be a compliment... While you are fairly close to San Ignacio, and right off of the road, it somehow manages to have a remote resort feel as if you were in the mountains or jungle. The staff is very friendly and quite responsive to needs. Overall, the facilities have a laid back elegance to them, with nice touches throughout the communal areas. The rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious. I would have expected a bit more "pop" from amenities or set up in the bathroo... Read more
