Great place, and directly on the beach. We stayed in the beach view suite and it was fabulous. Staff was very courteous and helpful on making recommendations for places to eat and gave directions to local stores for supplies. Our room was very clean and spacious. The only drawback was that since it faces east, you were up with the sun every morning. Highly recommend.

We booked a double deluxe room with Booking, com. which we were quoted the price for and paid 30% deposit prior to arrival. When we arrived reception staff tried to charge us more saying it was a tax. We refused, then we were shown to a sub standard room out the back of the main building. We were in the room at far right corner, with a 'dump' in front of the window, and under concrete stairs leading to the roof. Our outside furniture was one old wooden chair, It was just as dark to keep our ... Read more

Gilbert was amazing and was able to book us a room that was orginally unavailable! The room was beautiful with A/C and a great view. The pool was refreshing. The location was downtown which made it walkable to everywhere! We will be back!

Our first night was in a very basic uncomfortable room but fortunately we were moved to a much better room for the next 5 nights of our stay. The air conditioning was good, the bed comfortable, the pool very refreshing and much needed due to high temps outside, and the location was perfect. The reception and cleaning staff were all nice. Good prices and nice restaurant too.

Our room was disgusting. Had mold in the shower, on the pillows. There was a coffee pot but 1 mug. No water, fridge was hot. The saddest looking "lock" on the sliding glass door. The only good thing about it was the wifi signal & location.

Nice little hotel right on the beach 200 yards south of the Water taxi pier. We had a beach front room with balcony with two queen size beds. The kitchenette was adequate for our needs of making breakfast and lunch. AC and TV, comfortable beds. The pool was nice and perfect for cooling off. Staff very friendly and accomodating. We will definitely come back here!

Price are quite good compare with the rest around. Is in front of the beach, have a swimming pool and a very good bar just in front. The taxi boat left us very very close. And the service was quite good. I have to say that we come there just 2 after Hurricane Earl and the island was kind of destroy, and they did everything they could to do our stay there the better they can. I really have to recommend this place.

Good location, ac works and moderately priced for Cay Caulker which can be expensive. Also very clean which is important to us. We were in San Pedro first and this was a nice upgrade. The front desk folks were very nice and helpful. Close to the water taxi dock and some good eateries. The pool is a nice feature and there is a restaurant across the path. I do not know if they are connected or not. We ate there once and that was enough. Cay Caulker is small and very walkable. Popeyes is situated i... Read more

No luxury but good enough. Room was clean staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was a sign that said the room would be services every three days but they cleaned every day. No beach or pool towels but the property is condos so I should have expected that. Mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and basic utensils provided. I would stay here again.

This hotel is close to the ferry harbor. Rooms are clean, staff is ok, beds are not very big. We had a double room at ground floor in front of the swimming pool with view of the ocean and small kitchen. As for the rest of the island there is no beach close....

I stayed at Popeye's last October and as a single traveller booked myself a bed in there dorm room. The room was ok with attached bathroom. What is important to know about this 'resort' is the ignorance and arrogance of the staff and management. We were 4 girls staying in the dorm and had become friends over the past days of our stay. In our second last night I woke up at around 5am in the morning and saw somebody standing in the room with one of my friends scarves hanging over the head and star... Read more

They are putting back together from Hurricane Earl. Will be better than ever soon. Pool is great location is great. Ocean Ferry taxi now docks right in front of the hotel. In the next few months everyone coming into Belize needs to be patient hurricane recovery is a process.

This hotel had an amazing view with a great refreshing pool. The room was average with an air condition that features two settings (plugged in, and unplugged). Central location and right in front of Belize Ocean Ferry terminal.

Popeyes was a great place! The staff was very friendly and it was very accommodating to different types of travelers. The rooms are a little outdated and not the fanciest but definitely great for the price. Was a bit of a walk out of town but for how small Caye Caulker is, it wasn't bad. Loved the pool and the view. Definitely nothing to complain about! Recommend staying here for sure.

It was not what I expected. Needs some up keeping and remodeling. Beds were not comfortable and bathroom was tiny and not very clean. Waking up to sit on their patio was all I looked forward too and watching the sunrise.

I stayed for two nights, tried to get an upgrade to a double room, and when I did, the room had a defective door lock. The administrator tried to pin the broken lock on us, and said we had to pay for it. We were literally in the process of moving in, and had barely had a chase to close, let alone lock our door. The staff was at all times rude, and unhelpful, and this seemed like a borderline scam to get more money out of us. I would not recommend the place: you can typically get over sub-par ac... Read more

Stayed here for 5 nights. Room was dirty- sheets has stains and were torn and the shower curtains had weird schmutz on them. The hotel manager was rude from the very start. Pinnacle of our stay- we had originally booked 4 nights and decided to extend for another night. In the beginning of our stay, we told the manager that we want to stay another night and he said that's fine, and that we need to pay for the last night. On the last morning he comes by and says that if we want to stay another ni... Read more

Just left the hotel after spending few days in their swimming pool which was dirty and overcrowded! The worst thing was that the the hotel is building 2 buildings in front of it, blocking the view to the sea, so the only good thing of this hotel was gone.

The two of us made reservations for three nights. We wanted a place near the Water Taxi dock, which it was. The advertisement made it look nice but not true. Only one key for the room was available for the two of us and that should of been a sign. The only door was a slider and had a small key that was hard to operate, especially at night. The TV was missing and when we asked for a TV he said there was not one available. Some will say...you're on CC and don't need a TV. How about at night whe... Read more

Excellent location, close to everything, 2 minute walk from Main water taxi. Pool is right at the beach walkway so great for chatting, Rooms are clean, spacious Shower curtains need to fit better..Nice view but a bit obstructed by a new small building that was just built on the beach. Not sure why this was done.??? Rooms at the front costs more but have a sea view, maids did a great job and Cornelius the handy man was very friendly and helpful! Pool was clean and not used much when we were there... Read more

The resort is right on the beach which is good. There is nowhere to hang clothes. No toiletries. Room has air conditioning. Kitchenette was functional. Coffee maker but no coffee offered. Very small mirror in bathroom and no room for you toiletries there. Booked this room months ago and ended up with the only room in the place without a TV. ...makes evenings rather long when solo... It is nice and clean and there is a small pool.

I remember Popeyes in 1997 when it a sand floor bar with 2 rooms in the back,. I met a lot of cool locals and we would party till wee hours. They had a little kitchen with fish off a wood burning grill and great rum drinks.
