"Our group of four, two couples stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was wonderful. We were ground floor and had an excellent view of the pool and the waterfront. The suite was everything we expected. Two mater bedrooms with adjoining baths a lovely Living room dining room and fully equipped kitchen. The sun shone for our entire two weeks which allowed us to enjoy the pools. We enjoyed the space and the grounds. We appreciated access to a golf cart for travel in and around San Pedro. I must also mention that we used Mate Grande groceries who delivered all our provisions of food and beverages before we arrived and replenished our supplies again within hours of our phone request. Mandy was great to work with and provided such prompt service. We went snorkeling with Grumpy and Happy. It was a private charter and we had extra special attention and accompaniment from Lorne and Jolene our owner guides. Great trip, Highly recommend for rest and relaxation. If you need nightlife this is not your place."

"Outstanding! New & modern with a very friendly & helpful staff! Very accommodating. A nice break to come back to for a little this century pampering after exploring primitive areas of Belize. All the amenities of home, including free wifi. Rooms and balconies are large and clean. Beds comfy! There is truly no bad view from any of these units. Our place could have used a couple of luggage racks and the safe should have been raised up and not glued to the floor, but that is the ONLY nit picking I can report. Bartender/server at the swim up pool bar/grill is awesome! Food and drinks there are excellent. The daily housekeepers will do your laundry for you right there in your unit if you want them to while they are cleaning. It is away from San Pedro for quiet relaxation but still close enough to hop onto a water taxi ($5 US per trip) and be in the midst of town in 5-10 minutes (depending on stops). Although a golf cart would have been helpful at times for impromptu wants, it really is not a necessary expense. You can have groceries delivered or stop for them on your way in. The hotel provided us a (real) taxi to and from the airport and he offered to stop at the grocery store on the way in. We declined because we were wanting to discover the local eats instead. We picked up some basic essentials that night when we went in to San Pedro and brought them back with us by water taxi. We booked all of our tours through the resort and had absolutely no issues. The guides they use were top notch (important!). cave tubing/zip lining and for snorkeling and swimming with the sharks/rays were the best! Know that most of the tours are back on the mainland with the exception of diving, snorkeling the reef. There is quite a bit of travel to get there (again with the exception of reef activities) and some hiking involved, but we learned so much about everything Belize during this time because our guides were extremely knowledgeable and eager to share info. Know that U.S. time is a lot more prompt than Belizean time though! Adjust your 'now' attitude when you get off of the plane in Belize and relax! That's what you're there for, right?. Take the airplane transfer from the mainland to the island. Heard nothing but complaints about the water ferry transfer while I was there. Here's an important note... not very handicap friendly as of yet. I hope they improve this so more will be able to enjoy. Roads are bumpy, lots of steps, elevators are rare and uneven surfaces. Mostly sand walking, but if you are physically able, such a treat to walk or bike the shaded beach path besides the obvious beauty of the area and it's tropical flavor, the people of Belize are what makes this place special.. They are happy, friendly, educated, speak English and gracious. They are all ambassadors for their paradise and are happy you are there."

"We had a wonderful time at Grand Caribe Resort during the Thanksgiving week.

The suite was roomy, clean and very comfortable.

All the staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. They could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The Front Desk and Tour Manager were efficient and extremely friendly.

If you want a stress free, luxurious feeling vacation and very reasonable prices, then consider Grand Caribe.

"Three of us went to Belize for 9 days. We had a great time. First the staff was very helpfull when we checked in. It was later in the night and we could not really see the entire lay out of the resort. By morning the view was glorious. The bar staff was fantastic the entire time we were there. You made our trip very fun. They always took care of us. A golf cart rental is a must. Beside getting around, it is fun to use to check out the caye. We would recommend going to the big grocery store on the south of the caye. We would recommend a day trip to caye caulker. Super fun. For an awesome seafood dinner go to waramunga in downtown San pedro. Order the lobster burrito & seafood nachos. had an awesome private snorkeling and fishing trip find.. But bring your own beer. Try the Mai Tai's at the green parrot. Best burgers at legends. Go see stinky the dog at the jolly Rogers beach bar. Don't speak no evil at the funky monkey. Best banana daiquiri's at the Victoria house. The only casino is captain Morgan resort, would not recommend. Kinda crappy. But the resort itself is very nice.

Only negative is you cannot walk into the ocean because of the sea grass.

Overall would totally come back.
