From Belize City, guests can take a 30 minutes taxi ride [approx. US$25] to the dock, where a water taxi [approx. US$15 per person roundtrip] will take you in 1.5 to 2 hours to San Pedro. Upon arrival in San Pedro guests are advised to notify water taxi personnel to call the Resort. "The staff at Coco Beach was great and the trip was amazing. We always wanted to go to Belize. We researched and read comments before planning our trip. Coco Beach is a very nice resort. The only thing we really didn't research before hand was the transportation from the main airport to the islands. We did not realize you had to get another plane to the island or ride a boat for an hour. The plane ride is only 15 minutes and then another 5 minute boat ride to the island. No big deal, we just wasn't expecting it. The weather was beautiful. We went in October so it was more of the off season, which is great for us. We loved the privacy and less people this time of year. This is a great place for diving, sightseeing the Mayan Ruins and cave tubing in Belize, was a blast set up through Tuff E Nuff. This is an all day excursion and about a 45 minute bus ride each way. It is very informative though and you learn a lot of history and get to see a lot of what Belize is all about. The only downfall staying at Coco Beach was the restaurant was not open yet. (It is to be open around January). We ate in town and at Captain Morgan's (next door to Coco Beach) alot. If you want to go to town, it is just five minutes on a short boat ride. Highly recommend you buy the boat taxi pass for five days. You can shuttle back and forth unlimited for five days. It is nice to walk the streets and visit the local shops, beautiful art work, and talk with the locals. Everyone is friendly and appreciative of you visiting."

"We had an amazing honeymoon in Belize, best decision we made! My husband was skeptical but was sold almost immediately upon arrival. The resort is beautiful, one of the most beautiful on the island, both inside the room and the grounds. You will not regret staying there. The Staff was wonderful, friendly, accommodating, and made you feel extremely welcome, like family even. They greeted us by name, had drinks waiting for us at registration, gave us a tour of the resort, and kept the drinks coming poolside. We enjoyed a daily 2 for 1 happy hour at the bar. The restaurant next door was a miss for us and it was the only place to eat when we got there, but others we talked to liked it ok. Expect American prices at touristy restaurants and the other hotels. The best food and prices we found were in town, so we went twice a day. A must get is a 5 day water taxi pass, that made transportation easy since town is 3.5 miles away from the resort. Overall, great experience, great hotel, great staff, great service! Would definitely recommend to others and already have!"

"Coco Beach was absolutely beautiful! My daughter (18) and I stayed four nights, and we have never felt so pampered. From the greeting at the airport upon our arrival to the sendoff on our last day, our stay was perfect. The staff had drinks waiting for us upon check in; the pool staff, bartenders and waiters/waitresses provided outstanding service our entire stay. The entire staff made an effort to get to know our names, so our visit was very personalized. Our every need was taken care of...from more towels on the beach, to drinks or food poolside. And the gals in the coffee shop were always friendly and smiling. The resort is appropriate and accommodating for families and couples alike with plenty of space so you feel like you are on your own private island. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will definitely return to Belize and choose Coco Beach Resort again.
The only improvements that could be made would be to add a gym and perhaps have longer hours in the restaurant.

"Our stay at Coco Beach was wonderful. The staff and general manager were very helpful and friendly. They helped us plan all our activities including a trip to the mainland to see some Mayan ruins and zip line through the jungle. They also made dinner reservations for us.
The kayaks are free and a fun way to get out near the reef to snorkel. I also recommend renting bikes from the resort ($5 for 4 hours) and riding along the beach. It's a short ride to many other restaurants. The pool is amazing. All in all this place had the best service I've experienced in years."
"Fantastic place to stay. The staff was great, the room clean and very nice. The guys at the Tuff E Nuff dive shop were wonderful. We went diving and or snorkeling everyday. The reef out in front of the resort is just as good as all the places you might take a tour to. You can kayak out to the reef and tie up at a buoy and enjoy your day. The pool is very fun for kids and adults, the pool with a slide and rock climbing is separate from the bar and lounging pool. The stores are limited and the area is not commercialized, bring what you need. The island is isolated and runs on island time so don't plan everything being available and on time, relax. The only downside to this area is restaurant prices are a little high, but you are out on the island. Try the coconut cream pie at Capricorn, just down the beach. It is not what you think, but is delicious. Another must try is the coconut shrimp at Elvie's Kitchen in town, once again, not what you think and very good. This is one of the only place my family"
"I am a frequent traveler, most of the time even though I love vacations I am ready to pack up and head out. This time was different, packing up and leaving brought sadness to my husband and I as we had to leave a wonderful destination and a beautiful property. Tropical storm Harvey could not damper our spirits, we sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the company of the other guests and shared the highlights of our trip. Coco beach is a wonderful property with well manicured grounds and warm welcome feel. At first we felt we were to far from town but after a couple of days we loved coming back to our quiet retreat. Make sure you enjoy the Fried chicken dinner at green Iguana restaurant at Coco Beach's sister property you won't be disappointed. Tuff Enuff Tours are wonderful well qualified guides to explore everything Belize has to offer."
