Loved hotel design very much â?? stylish contemporary atmosphere is in good contrast with Ghent medieval historical architecture. Very fancy and interesting! Strongly recommend to have breakfast in the courtyard garden and enjoy birds signing. Very nice rooms with big balconies facing garden and courtyard. Very helpful staff on reception and restaurant. Strongly recommed to say when in Ghent!

Stayed for four nights in early December. The hotel is stunning, from the rooms to the entrance hall and staircase. There is also an excellent spa facility which was highly welcome in the winter. It's a very short walk from the centre of Ghent, which is a lovely city to explore.

We stayed three nights at the Grand Hotel Reylof and were pleased with our choice. The location is good as only just over 5 minutes walk from the medieval centre but in a relatively quiet location The hotel is stylish with modern décor. The public areas and the rooms all look interesting and the dining room / bar which is where breakfast is served is a great space in which to spend time. The modern art throughout the hotel may not be to everyone's taste but it gives a lot of character. Our... Read more

Stayed there for one night. I loved this hotel, it is unique in every aspect, the layout, the landscaping the decoration, it was all just perfect. The staff there made it an even more pleasant stay. The breakfast was also delicious with killer pan cakes. My only issue was with the gym, it was very small with not too many equipment for a hard workout. However I would definitely go there again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back for another stay. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very cheap for what we had. My friend and I both work in the food industry and we really liked everything we had, from the macchiato and hot chocolate to the lunch.

Very good service in a well appointed hotel just a few minutes from the main square. We, all seven of us, had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much indeed. It helps that Ghent is a great place to visit and the hotel provided all we needed. I travel quite a bit and would recommend the Raylof.

Superior facility with large and elegant public spaces (indoor and garden) and the bonus of a small but fine workout space in a separate building. Perfectly suited to business travelers with its northern European formality, but an easy walking trip to St Bavo's for the tourist.

the property is very well located to enjoy the center and activities, but the soundproofing of the rooms is not worthy of a 4 * quality linen is to improve the atmosphere and cleanliness are good, the staff has great difficulty speaking French , missing a beautiful decoration with natural flowers and fresh fruit for breakfast , access to wellness is really not quiet , the garden is very nice and well kept quiet; We love to go back

Coffee and tea in room. Earlier dinner service should be offered if restaurant is overbooked, we were told could not eat in hotel during our stay at all but restaurant was totally empty at 6.30 pm so an early dinner could have been offered.

Good location but cleanliness and attention to detail poor. Soiled sheet in bedroom from previous guest is totally unacceptable for any standard of hotel. The staff were very unfriendly could not be bothered to even say hello.

i stayed with my girlfriend for a short break in Ghent and largely cant fault the experience. the hotel is beautifully laid out and staff very attentive. The evening meal on the friday was first class and enjoyed drinks aplenty in the courtyard. Only niggles was no coffee in the hotel room (why?) and the breakfast is grossly over-priced - although relatively standard for the area. we didnt bother with breakfast as there are suitable alternatives close to the hotel. i'd go back there without a do... Enjoying an excellent location a short walk from all the main attractions of the city, the hotel has lovely public spaces and attractive peaceful garden spaces. Our room was very well designed and had a very spacious modern bathroom and pleasant balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The decor in the room corridors of the hotel is a clash of styles and colours which will date quickly. Thankfully, this confusion is not reflected in the room decor which is calm and warm. Really nice. Second stay this year. I really like this hotel. Good breakfast if a bit limited, nice rooms and quite ok prices. Wery close to the city. Service is close to first class. Might be the best hotel in Gent (I've stayed at least eight of them)

We had a superior room that was located on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard. The room was huge but almost empty of furniture. The TV was probably 24" and their was no coffee or tea maker. Bed was good and room was quiet due to double windows. A/C could not be used as blowing fully onto the bed unbearable even in low fan mode. Restaurant was expensive but food was mediocre. Restaurants out in town where much better.

We stayed for 4 nights, as we always go away for our anniversary. First impressions were positive with the spiral staircase and the living room. We loved the decor everywhere, a mix of old and contemporary. Frederic greeted us, he was very friendly and efficient, as were all of the staff, always happy to help. We stayed in a comfort room on the 2nd floor. It was lovely and "comfortable". The breakfast was just great. Loads to choose from and they cooked your eggs how you wanted them, if asked. ... This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff, an impressive staircase and a large sculpture of a snail. We had a terrible first night, with some obnoxious, entitled, self-absorbed people in the next room holding a party that started at about 5.00am on Sunday morning with a crazed woman wearing a leather flying helmet knocking on our door â?? but this was not the fault of the hotel and they upgraded us to a deluxe room on the other side of the building, and after that we had a splendid time. This is probably Ghent's best hotel. The decor throughout is very classy and the staff are, with one or two exceptions, very helpful. Breakfast buffet is great. What was not great was the check in: they appeared not to care at all. I was given a ground floor room facing directly onto the street, so I called and asked if I could change as I didn't feel comfortable and there was noise. The hotel was within 5 min walk of the old town, but far enough away to be completely quiet (even when the Ghent Festival was on). Staff, decor and cleanliness were all excellent, but parking and breakfast costs were far too expensive in my opinion.
