We had a fantastic 3 nights stay at The Dominican last summer. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice with a walk in shower and modern fixtures. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The ice water and ice machine by the elevator was a very nice touch. We filled our water bottle every time we left the hotel. The location was fantastic. The hotel is within walking distance of most tourist attractions. A short walk, (5-15 minutes), to the Grand Place, St.... Read more

The Dominican surprised us...even after we had high expectations. The soft chanting conveys a sense of a monastery - by design. The rooms are extremely well designed and decorated. Great bathroom, very nice reception staff. A welcoming pair of flaming lamps at the entrance make a special occasion of every time you leave and enter the hotel. Excellent value.

This is very central, only 6 minutes walk from the central station which is 20 minutes by train from Brussels International airport. It is peaceful inside and we took drinks/snacks in the hotel lobby because it is very scenic. The bar service was also very friendly and good. The rooms were also very spacious with tea/coffee facilities. There were no unpleasant carpet smells in the corridors as some people had commented although I can understand that some people are a little sceptic about carpets... Read more

We had a wonderful stay at The Dominican on May 8. We were impressed by the exceptional service upon our arrival and were treated to a glass of lemonade. The gentleman that checked us in gave us a map of Brussels and offered some nice recommendations (including a free music/food truck festival which we loved). He also helped explain where the places we wanted to visit were located. The Dominican has an offer to receive money back on your bill if you spend any at the restaurant/bar - which we d... Read more

Very nicely appointed hotel with all of the finer touches you would expect (for the price). Central, but not too central - a couple of minutes walk from the very touristic Grand Place but tucked away in a quiet corner. Some nice touches such as monastic chant on the TV when you enter the room (and in the elevator) in keeping with the 'Dominican' theme. But otherwise, the important stuff, great room, comfy bed, roomy, nice bathroom etc

We stayed at the Dominican for five nights in May. Upon checking in, we were very pleased. The lobby is modern and chic and the gentleman checking us in took the time to provide a brief overview of the area, including which areas to avoid for restaurants aimed at tourists. Our room was lovely, a junior suite on the second floor with its own separate sitting room. The room and lobby contain fragrance sticks and smell absolutely wonderfully. The bathroom was superb, especially by European stan... Read more

I was a solo female traveller in Brussels for a Reunion and stayed 2 nights at The Dominican. The location of the hotel is very convenient, close to restaurants, shops, sights to see and very easy to get around. It is very safe and I felt no problem at all wandering around the city. Breakfast at Euro 27 seemed a bit pricey but I went to Le Pain Quotidien nearby and got a lovely breakfast for approx Euro 10. The room was large, airy and very comfortable. The Dominician is a wonderful hotel with a very central location in Brussels. The staff delivered a very good service, the room was very nice and well equipped. The hotel has nice garden atrium with a good restaurant. The only remark is that I expected more from the brkfast at the price 27 EURO. The selection of bread was small and the scrambled eggs were bad.

The hotel is a short walk from the metro and is not too far from Central Station. Check in was efficient and we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel as we considered it somewhat expensive. Stayed here for three nights. Overall pleasant stay. The hotel has a very dark aesthetic and the constant monastery music can be maddening. Another con was the cost-prohibitive breakfast. Rooms were clean and wifi was adequate. Mostly stayed here for the central location although I don‚??t think I would highly recommend it to my peers.

I stayed at the hotel for a business event. i really think that this hotel is over-rating itself and the rate does not match what you get. The hotel is in a old monastery and it gives a special atmosphere. The staff members are all nice and helpful. The room itself is really not worth the price paid. The bathroom: it's quite big (I had a bathroom with shower only), enough towel, real hairdryer that works well but if like me you hate rainshower, then it's a problem. I would love the person who designed the rooms to stay overnight in one. I had to stand on a table to pull the blinds down the string is so far from where you can reach. There was no mirror in the room except in the bathroom but nowhere in the claustrophobic bathroom to set down a makeup bag. The shower was too small, there is no way a large man would fit in it and the shower door is so short the floor gets soaked. Service was fine and the courtyard is a nice touch.

The Dominican is a concept hotel, very tastefully designed, stylish but not too stylish, richly furnished, comfortable, ambient and very relaxing. This applies to the hotel as a whole, including the room I was in. In fact, this hotel is so cozy that you hardly want to go out on the streets at all. If there was anything I'd want to change in this hotel, it would be the lighting in the bathroom which feels a little dimmer than ideal when one is shaving. The hotel itself is ok. Central and fairly nice. However we were not at all happy with how we were treated. One day, the room service forgot to put the bed sheets back on. We gave notice to the reception. All they did was to send somebody up with a new one. We had to do it ourselves. No offer for compensation or anything. They were very snappy with us generally. The hotel is well located - within minutes of the Brussels central square (Grand Place). It is cozy and comfortable, rooms aren't too big but very well furnished and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is very good, a wide assortment of fresh and tasty stuff. Overall stay was very pleasant... until check-out! That is where the nightmare started, first by the lady who was struggling to insert my details into the software in order to issue me the invoice, which lasted and lasted. The nightmare culmin... A few minutes walk from the Grande Place, metro, and the cathedral. Nice rooms, restaurant and bar. Free wifi. Stylish interiors. Close to restaurants, bars and shops. Good place to stay for a weekend in Brussels.

We had experienced a fabulous presence at The Dominican Hotel which is in the heart of Brussels city. It is "The only Hotel in Brussels". Magic, medieval atmosphere with luxurious, excellent service, quaint, quite and very unique. It has a medieval style. Everything is natural and unstrained. The breakfast is just great, delicious and high-quality food. This hotel is suited for leisure and business as well.

The interiors of the hotel is very nice, modern. Rooms are spacious, bed are extremely comfortable, pillows are like clouds. I am truly impressed with this hotel, it gives a great value for money. As a fitness addict, I choose this hotel because it seemed to have a decent gym, it didn't disappoint - on the contrary, gym has enough cardio machines and weights, also very nice boxing room. Also, there is sauna and steam bath, for the recovery. The location is the very centre of Brussels, but still... Read more

My wife and I stayed four nights at the Dominican. The location could not have been better. The hotel is stylish and super clean. The staff stood out in friendliness and helpfulness. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. We especially liked having a Nespresso machine similar to what we have at home. Wifi worked flawlessly, and we would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be within walking distance to many sites and transportation. Larry & Kelly, Georgetown, TX
