I stay at this hotel frequently when I am in Brussels on business. It is very conveient and the staff is welcoming, friendly and efficient. However the hotel has not been upgraded for a number of years so the hallway carpets are stained and probably what I dislike the most, the ventilation is almost non-existent in the rooms.

Perfect choice when staying in Brussels mainly because of the location, it is in the heart of the city. Hotel has to offer very nice and cosy rooms, as well as sauna and gym. Breakfast was also good, many choices for different tastes. Highly recommended

Stayed in this hotel for a conference. Good location, easy to reach, on walking distance from the central station. Very close to the grand place wit. Friendly staff. The hotel rooms are small and out dated. A refurbishment would be nice. Breakfast is ok.

This hotel offered us a comfortable stay for one night before moving into an apartment in Brussels. We were welcomed on arrival and quickly checked in. The room was cozy with warm wood floors and pleasant furnishings. Wifi worked well, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was functional. Everything was clean. We walked around Grand Place, just a short walk away, always such an impressive place and looking very spectacular with newly gilded facades! Back to the hotel, we relaxed in the bar and c... Stayed here for 6 nights in Brussels for Belgian Pride. Checked in without any problems but the room we were allocated was small dark and dingy...it was an internal room looking out into hotel with skylight and you directly into other rooms. We complained to receptionist that we were not happy and wanted to move. We booked a larger superior room. With ' city views'...which we didnt get at all. We were allocated room 305 which was a much bigger room with Xl king size bed and 2 sets of French wind... Read more

Only reason I would consider going back to this place would be for the Sauna, but don't think it would be sufficient. The room clearly needed refurbishment and I felt in a cheap motel. Not the place you're looking for to relax while on a business trip.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 days and it was in the perfect location to sight see around Brussels. The rooms were clean and breakfast was included which was great to start the day. As it was central it was perfect for us to come back to after walking all day for a break before heading back out for dinner.

The room was small and on the inside but it was comfortable. The staff make up for any inconveniences one might feel with the room. The breakfast was one of the best over our seven week adventure, and the lounge was great when my wife had a cold and I had to eat by myself. the location is in the center of town and about 2 blocks from the mid train station. The main shopping area is about 2 blocks the other way.. Everything was walk able for us. History abounds. The violence that Brussels experie... Read more

I stayed in room 110 which was really loud due to a ventilator in the backyard (I had difficulties falling asleep), the room has an ugly view on the ventilator shaft. The location of the hotel is very good on the other hand, close to Grande Place and Central Station. Guests should check which room they get. You should definitely avoid room 110.

A good hotel close to Arcade and Grand Plaza made it very central for a brief visit. The bar had Leffe Royal from tap which is the best beer in town. Best Belgian chocolate and beers just round the corner!

I had stayed here for 2 nights on 2nd and 3rd June. Grand Place, Sablon, Mannekin Pis and Central station are within walking distance. So are all the food and beer joints of proper Brussels. We came by train from Lille and got down at Brussels Midi. From there we had to take a taxi to hotel. I found a colruyt convenience store nearby. This is the 3rd scandic I stayed after Stockholm and Espoo. This one is also in line with my expectation. Spacious lobby, functional setup, long corridors to reach... Read more

The room and the lobby did not match the Scandic standard. The room was worn and old-fashioned - not in a good way. The lobby and the lobby bar did not have the warm and trendy atmosphere that I enjoy in other Scandic hotels. But the friendly, welcoming and service-minded staff and the great location make up for it, and I will be back the next time I visit Brussels.

This hotel is in a very good location to the Central train station expecially if you have luggage. Check in and che k out were very quick and the staff very friendly. You are in the centre of the main shopping centre and only a few minutes to the tourist information. The hallway carpet needs replacing and the hot water took a few minutes to come through. However if I visited Brussels again I would stay again.

A nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfy. The location is pleasant to travel by bus, metro, or train (although the latter two require you to walk or take a bus to get to the station). The walls seem to be paper thin, as you can hear your neighbors breath (a bit exaggerated, but you can hear them clearly).

I chose this hotel because it is so conveniently situated - less than 10 minutes' walk from the Central station, five from the Grass Market or cathedral, and only one minute from the Galeries St-Hubert, which are almost as much of a must see as the Grand Place. I had a deal which gave me a double room for the price of a single. It was a decent size for a city hotel, and included a fridge and Nespresso machine as well as a bathrobe and slippers. The only problem was bizarrely lumpy pillows, but... Read more

In dire need of renovation, the place feels dark, dingy, and distinctly dated. Breakfast advertised as "over 100 items" - well, perhaps if you count each tea bag. Otherwise it was a regular breakfast. Rooms were only an inch over basic and by the time you had navigated the disgusting carpets in the hallways it was hard to imagine a clean room, although ours seemed ok.

The only positive thing in this hotel is its location. City centre. The staff are not friendly at all. Specially guys working there. He was a bit rude. We had to wait in line to get the room Coz he was gossiping with a lady whom it seems she liked him and wanted to get to know him more (old lady). We didn't have breakfast there, it was so basic.

The location for this hotel was amazing ! We couldn't believe we were so well situated for the price, there had to be a down side. The staff were really friendly and gave us advice and direction when we asked. Our room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside was the hall to get to the room had stained carpets. All in all for the location we thought it was well worth the money. Don't expect 5 star when u don't pay the price .

This was our 4th stay at the Scandic Grand Place. I love this hotel mostly due to the wonderful location, close to the amazing Grand Place and a reasonable price. The big disappointment, this time, was the fact that for the first time in years, breakfast was not included in the price. Of course the price of the hotel did not go down because of that. Otherwise everything was ok as usually and our room was very comfortable and clean.

The hotel is located less than 300m from Brussel-Central Station via Blvd de I'lmperatrice, it takes 3 minute-walk. If you'd like to go there via Galeries Saint-Hubert, it is 550m and taking almost 7 minutes. So that you can reach the corner of Galeries Saint-Hubert x Rue d'Arenberg within 1 minute! Great value for money. The hotel accommodation is basic and clean, but its location more than makes up for it due to its location in the centre of town next to the Grand Place, Rue des Bouchers and train stations of Bruxelles Central and Midi. Good breakfast option.

I stayed several times in this hotel during the recent years. It never was perfect, but rather OK for a hotel in the centre of Brussels. This time I was placed in room 120, and I got more disappointed than usually. The first what I noticed in the room on the arrival it was a smell, it smelled like an old wet cellar. This is my second stay at this hotel. The location is great. Close to grand place, the shopping gallery and great bars. The hotel rooms are simple, but functional. I would not call it a 4-star hotel, but more like a 3-star hotel since there is no luxury over it except for he bathrobes and slippers. A plus for trouser press, but minus for small selection of teas. This time I got room 209 which is second floor facing the street and it was noisy. Therefore ask for a room not facing the street.
