This hostel has a hip and modern appearance. They have private rooms as well as dorms. I had a private room. It was just for one night so it was okay. The wifi is better in the lobby than in the room. In the room there's a constant temperature of 22 degrees Celsius. Which is quite hot. And I am a a shivery person. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good.

I stayed at Meininger for 8 days for business purposes, therefore I was out by 8:45 AM and I returned around 6:00 PM every day. Since it is winter, it gets dark quite early. I must say although I felt very comfortable inside the hotel, I am not able to say the same for the location. I believe that this is highly important, especially for women or others traveling alone. On many occasions, I was afraid to walk outside to go buy a snack because of a random guy profiling and randomly following girl... Read more

The room is really spacious, stayed in 6beds dorm. They have each huge locker for each bed. The bathroom and the toilet is separated which is convenient. The hostel it self is really huge and clean. The staffs are wonderful and friendly. You can even have a late-check out but you have to add few euros more(but it worth it). The only disadvantage is, it is located not in the heart of the city and metro stops at 12. So its abit tricky when youre a girl and youre alone after 12 and you want to come... Read more

It was the best hostel I was ever in. The relation price - quality was excellent. I went there with two friends and we had an amazing time. The staff was very friendly and accessible. We stayed in a 10 bed room and we have nothing to complain about. The rooms were so cleaned and the beds really comfortable. The place was silently during the night and really comfy and warm, since I went there and January during snow days, that was really appreciated. The bathroom and shower place were, as well, a... We had to take an early morning Eurostar to London hence had to spend the last night of our Europe tour in Brussels ..last minute booking landed us to Meininger Brussels. We had a triple room( 1 double bed 1 single bed). The room was very spacious. The windows don't open n the temperature is centrally controlled. Didn't bother us much considering it was winters. The room n washroom were clean. The lobby outside the room is huge. Since this place also has hostel accommodation we could see many y... Read more

With my previous hostel experiences only being limited to one overnight stop in a very low end hostel, I was concerned with what to expect from the MEININGER. We arrived a little before check in. The staff were friendly, let us deposit our backs, offered us breakfast (which only had 15 minutes remaining), or alternatively supplied us with maps and pointed out their favourite breakfast spots. I was especially impressed with the "made by Locals" map they provided, we used it for out entire stay.... Read more

Its one of those hotels you like or don't like - personally I did not like it. So maybe my comments biased. But 2 of the travellers with me are students and they agreed with my comments. Personally, I cannot stand it when I am paying for the  hotel and they decide what is best for me. Even though it was winter, I prefer my rooms cooler. The room was stifling hot with no setting to reduce the room temperature. Could not even open window slightly for fresher air. Wifi is shockingly poor. Beds jus... Read more

We went during the weekend and had a great time. We were in 6 in the same family. Me, husband, 2 kids and 2 step children. The room was cool, modern, very functional and great size. Shower room was independent and close, as the toilet. Very good for 6 people in a bedroom. Hotel offers a free city tour by walk, we looove it. The guide, a Irish guy, was excellent and very much informed. Breakast at a very fair price (7 euros)and very nice, offered the basic but delicious. The only thing I didn't ... Read more

Great value. Stayed here for 3 nights in a 6-bed dorm and it was an excellent experience. All my stays with the Meininger Group of hostels have been fantastic. Rooms cleaned on time everyday, tidy, well equipped, good wifi and spacious. En suite showers were impressive with soap/shampoo provided. Staff were friendly and we had a really casual, informal conversation even during check-in. There's a nice bar there too. Location was a quite a walk from the main square of Brussels but closely sit... Read more

a really nice hotel, young and efficient. Essential in style, but well organized and furnished. A kitchen in inside and also a pub where, after a long day out, is nice to stay tasting a good beer (also having a baby to take care of). ;0)
