1. Hotel with poor customer service. The same hotel staff walk passed me 3 times for different days without even look at me. This is very rude. 2. They charge for everything including extra pillow. This is unacceptable. 3. No late check out allowed. 4. Confused instructions end up one staff raise his voice and shout at me. They need to learn how to respect their customer and talk nicely to customer. This is the basic requirement for hotel staff. 5. They need to learn how to smile.

Stayed here for two nights in early September. Hotel is very conveniently situated for Metro stations with links to Eurostar, central shopping area, plenty of bars and restaurants and the Grande Place. Rooms are quite minimalistic but are clean and comfortable. Bathroom was more like a wet room but there was plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bedroom was small and compact and might have been a squeeze for two people. I was using it by myself. Free wifi provided. Automatic check ... Read more

The Maxhotel is what you can see in the photos: very basic and simple. One can check-in in the kind of atm machines that they have but there's someone to help in case of need. Small and very basic rooms, just the bed (comfortable) and a small desk (and a nice lcd). Toilet is also small but everything looks clean. Well located in the centre with a metro station just 3 min away it's an option for 1 or 2 nights if you need the hotel just to sleep. Price is competitive (Brussels hotels are really e... Read more

Very nice, simple hotel close to the city centre. 20 min walk to Grand Place and the same to the Brussels Nord train station. The room was very basic but specious. There was only one chair and small table ex. the bed. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff very nice and helpful. There is no reception desk but staff was ewsy reachable. Perfect for short stay or business trip.

We have visited Brussels for four days. The hotel is centrally located, at a walking distance to the old town area. The hotel is modern and, what I have found interesting was the self check-in. There is no visible staff there. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Internet was free and worked well. Recommended.

This hotel is very basic but it is also very cheap and very central to all the sights so worth every penny. The room is basic but has a comfy bed, decent bathroom and tv, pretty much all i want from a hotel. No tea/coffee in room but a nice lounge area where you can purchase drinks and snacks. About 10 minutes walk to Grand Place. Wuld stay again ideal for a few nights.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights during our stay in Brussels. This hotel is very nicely located close to the rogier metro. The linens and towels were 4 star. The room and bathroom were small with no tub but a shower stall. The beds were also very comfortable. There is a small shelving unit on the wall where you can put you packing cubes to help keep the room tidy. The downside were you check in using an atm machine but there was someone to help. They give you 4 hours of Internet a... Read more

Located in the city centre, close to Rogier metro station and to the main shopping Street (Rur Neuve) and to a Shopping Mall. The check in was quite easy, the room was clean. Good value for money overall.

Stayed here to break up a journey during the Euros. Excellent location, all you could ask for. Main shopping street next door and few minutes walk from the metro station that goes all over Brussels. My only problem is the check-in machines. About 6 people there to check in at once and only 2 machines and one member of staff on duty all times, also I booked on so I still had to get the manager to check me in. Room was modern and basic, clean too. Only one pillow and bed sheet for 2 p... Read more

If You want a decent hotel in a great location and reasonable rate, search no more. this hotel is a great value for your money, or actually it is a greater value than your money. it is very suitable for a short trip to Brussels. it's basic and convenient. the staff are helpful and welcoming. It will diffidently be my first choice if I go back to Brussels. i haven't tried their breakfast through. To be honest, whether I travel for work or pleasure, i don't spend much time inside the hotel other t... Read more

The check-in system was rubbish, supposed to be automatic but needed the staff to check us in after the machine rejected all the details. Do not rely on the pastries for breakfast they had all gone and been cleaned away well before 9am. House keeping staff were wanting to be in to the room 1 hour before checkout and the TV didn't work. Plus side the hotel is in a really good central location and is right next to a metro station.

this is my 4th time at Maxhotel...... I have business meeting ever month and i find this hotel as cheap, clean, very helpful stuff , easy for metro, comfortable. WIFI is good, b'fast you just go 1st floor and you'll find some croissants and you can get a coffee from the machine..... if you don't want that you can cross the road and go to Paul's bakery........ going out of the hotel on the right hand side you'll find a site street and there you are in Reu Neuve.... you'll find all the shops that ... I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights recently. The hotel is very clean and was very reasonably priced. It is centrally located and good for exploring Brussels. There were a few points that I was disappointed with an could definitely be improved. There was a constant smell in the bathroom - it must be to with the overall plumbing in the hotel. The pillows were of very poor quality ( lumpy and the same size as a sofa cushion). Lastly the there was no small shower gel or shampoo provided as ... Read more

A basic hotel, but it is central and the lack of amenities is reflected in the price. The rooms are of reasonable size, and are fairly modern. Everything in the room worked as you would expect. There is a communal area on the first floor with help yourself breakfast pastries (though they didn't last long), sofas, a range of vending machines, etc. There is a self check-in system using a wall mounted monitor, but it didn't work for me (or any of the people I was with) so we had to ask the staff... Visited Maxhotel this September and would highly recommend this hotel for travellers wanting a clean, perfectly located, simple hotel. On arrival it was a little annoying not being able to get in or check in (no one was in the reception area when we arrived) so we couldn't gain access to put our bags in the ‚?¨2 lockers they supply. When we did come back later check we were able to get to the lockers before coming back at 3pm to check in. Check in is easy and completely electronic. Be aware tha... Read more

We stayed in Brussels one night in transit through Europe. Booked at the Max and was pleasantly surprised. Self check in was new for us but efficient. Available staff helped us through the procedure, and all staff was friendly and helpful. Room was normal by Europe standards, making the price very good. Easy walk to the must see Grand Place. Stick around till dark for outstanding lights. Hotel security exceptional via card entry front door.

The Max Hotel is located just next to Rogier metro station, which makes it easy to be located, the hotel concept is based on automation, so you are supposed to do the check in, baggage storage, snack and beverage ordering using machines, in my view this was convenient, especially when you need a snack or beverage at midnight, all you have to do is to go to first floor and buy with your coins, however, sometimes it becomes annoying like what happened to me when I had to store my baggage before en... + The location of the hotel is good. It is near the Rogier metro station (4 min walk) and also the Gare du Nord train station (10-12 mins walk). Most of the tourist attractions in the city can be done on foot. The hotel is just a 10-15 walk from Grand-Central. The parallel lane is filled with shopping brands like Zara, H&M etc. +On entering, there are kiosks for self check-in. But we were helped by a hotel staff who was already present near the kiosk. The process took around a couple of mins an... Read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find a very good hotel downtown Brussels. A nice small room, very clean, comfortable bed, a small white bathroom. I was happy to see that they have the ORT tv channel. The location is splendid, the center of the city. I enjoyed staying and for sure i'll come back.

I usually visit one European capital every year and Bruxelles was my Capital 2015. Not having a lot of time, I spent here just a quick weekend. I booked here a double bedroom and I have been completely satisfied. The hotel is extremely modern and basic, our room was quite small and the bathroom was ever smaller, but despite the size everything was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was quite simple too. The staff was nice and helpful : I will certainly come back.

The rooms are small, but well furnished and clean. The location is very good and the old city center is in 10 minutes walking distance. The self checking system does not work with every reservation. I booked with and the reservation number contained some dots. However, one should enter the number without the dots. The staff is there to help though. (Don't see the point of self check-in in this case). The lady was a bit rude while explaining that I should omit the dots. One can pay on... Read more

It is a cheap hotel (under 50 Euros for a small room with a single bed in July) and not too far to Brussels' North Station (Gare Nord). It is at the edge of Old Town, so it is close to many interesting sights of Brussels(and Old Town's nice bars and restaurants) The room is very small; You have to pay extra (2 Euros) to store your luggage after checking out. Overall, though it seems cheap, I think that you can find quite a few hotels in similar price range but with better amenities and inclusi... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights whilst visiting Brussels' Christmas markets and we had a great stay. The hotel concept is automation so you check in with a computer and this is really easy - if there is any problems you can pick up the internal phone and you are put through to a member of staff inside the hotel. Our room was quite large and included a television, (really comfy) double bed, bathroom, heating desk and chair. The room and bathroom was really clean, it would hav... Read more
