I arrived at the hotel and was given a corner room just outside of the hotel lift on one of the top floors. The room was cold due to AC on and the carpet was definitely need of replacement. Other than that the room looked ok. Then I entered the bathroom. There were hairs on the floor and in the sink. I went back to reception and asked for another clean room. The receptionist talked to one of the other receptionists then to the manager behind the panel. I could not see him, only hear him speak Fr... Read more

We booked the hotel last minute with and the promotion was for a standard room . At arrival hotel reception not a warm welcome , no information about breakfast and not organized well. We received the changing-guestroom that was ok but the floor in the bathroom was wet . The pillows on the bed are very bad , had neck pain morning after . breakfast is ok , continental and enough choice .

Nice and very comfortable room. Excellent value for the price with a good location near the city centre and main attractions at walking distance. Very helpful and welcoming staff. We would come back and highly recommend it.

Hotel has a good location, next to a shopping street. Breakfast is super. Rooms are clean and spacious. Brussel is great for a short trip. St goriks square is a nice square for a drink. Nice restaurants nearby.

The Marivaux is in a great location - walking distance to the Grand Place and an even shorter walk to the nearest metro station. The rooms are so spacious and extremely comfortable. We liked having the toilet separate from the shower/bathroom. Loved the film-related decor and cool furniture in the public areas.

Stayed in Brussels for a 2 day visit, we chose this hotel for both location and value for money and were not disappointed, on the plus side, great staff, efficient parking and retrieval of our car when requested, rooms reflect the age of the property but were very clean and well appointed, building works going on to enlarge the hotel but had minimal impact on our visit. Breakfast was good. On the downside felt having to log in to the internet numerous times during our stay slightly annoying bu... Read more

After my first night I needed to change rooms due to a significant water leak in the bathroom. Unfortunately the staff did not seem very concerned about the situation and they did not offer to help with the transfer nor did they compensate me in any way. My second room was located on the Hitchcock floor. Although it was brighter (faced the main street) this small section of the hotel is very dirty and in dire need of renovation. The route to my room was quite convoluted, involved multiple sets o... Read more

Stayed for more than four nights on a business trip. The hotel has a cinema/theater theme to it which is pleasant but the hotel itself is slightly small and can feel crowded. Got a complimentary room upgrade with a balcony and slightly larger which was a nice surprise. The location of the hotel is great next to a shopping centre and the high street. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a room at the Marivaux, the hotel suggested by a governmental agency in Brussels as I was a speaker at an event organised on site. I arrived at dinner time and just left my luggage in the room (after spending 10 minutes trying to find it) and went out right away to join a group of colleagues for dinner. When I got back, with some time to finally take a look at the room, did find some disgusting dark brown stains stains on the walls (see pics) and a filthy carpet at the room entrance. Sinc... The Marivaux is a former cinema building that has been transformed into a welcoming 4* hotel. We had the pleasure of staying there for one night. The service was very efficient and friendly, the room was quiet and clean, it's facilities left no wishes open. Breakfast was very good, but a bit less prepacked food wouldn't do the environment any harm, I guess. The corridors are a little dark to my taste, but it certainly contributes to the feeling of "the movies". If you travel by car, park it in t... Read more

Good central Brussels location with secure parking at 20Euros a day. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. There were tea/coffee facilities in the room. We did not have breakfast at the Hotel as there were many take out coffee places near the hotel.

I dont have much good to say about the hotel. The room was small and not as clean as one would expect. The room was also very cold, but you could change the temperature from a device on the wall fortunately. On the second night we got back to the hotel in the middle of the night, the doorbell didn't work, the card slot at the door didn't work, and the receptionist was nowhere to be seen. After we banged the door for a fair while he appeared from the backroom to open the door. The "late check-o... Read more

I booked a room for 2 nights paying 150‚?¨. The facility is close to the city center and to the subway. That's perfect if you want to visit the city. Entering the hall you could have the impression of a smart and new hotel. Well, that is totally wrong. We got the room 3530. So, we took the loft to the 5th floor and then walk along the aisle till we're forced to open a door that goes to the stairs. I front of us "staff only" and on the right the room 3530. It's easy to think that that room was ... Read more

Hotel located in proximity of railway station, underground stop and shopping street. This four star hotel had comfortable clean rooms, eqipped with all one need including kettle, special coat and trousers hanger, enough space in wardrobes, excellent breakfest with good selection of food, they were able prepare a breakfest box when I leave earlier. Taxi they called were very punctual. Only the corridors act negatively as they have not been renovated for a long time. Anyway, i would recomment t... Read more

The location - good Cleanness - good Room size - good Wi-Fi could not be connected in the room and the technical guy was impolite. It seemed like it was my bad luck that my room did not have Wi-Fi. I had to sat on the walkway to use the internet.

Beautiful entrance lobby and really professional staff. I was really surprised at how large the room was that I stayed in and that there was a bar fridge , a kettle with coffee/tea etc , gown and slippers. The WiFi didn't work that well but it didn't bother me. The hotel is in walking distance to the city centre ,metro, local attractions and restaurants. Lovely hotel and well worth the money, Brussels it self is nice, but nothing to special. If possible also book a day trip to Bruges. When in Brussels visit the grand market and the Delerium Cafe and beware of the large amount of beggars and homeless.

Well let's start from booking. All my questions to staff were satisfired including detailing descripsion of the way from train station. By the way the location is perfect 10 min from Noord station and 10 min from the center. The staff were pretty polite. We asked to make a reservation in Francous restaurant and they did it immediately. The room was warm and clean and the breakfast simple but tasty. Ah yes!
