It's not quite what you expect when you make a reservation for a single room and you end up in a basement apartment with a view to the tires of the cars that are parked in the street. The sofas in the "living room" had stains which I hope were food stains. Not recommendable.

This place is good located, clean, the staff is helpful and friendly and check-in and check-out administration reduced to minimum. So, even though this place would deserve even "poor" grade, thanks to above listed I had to raise it to "average". The breakfast is relatively poor, particularly for those guests who expect rich breakfast with cuisine varieties. Wi-fi is free and of surprisingly of very good strength. Room was essentially equipped, clean with comfortable mattress and pillows. The n... Read more

Accommodation very basic and definitely not worthy of full advertised price of ?300. Glad I booked cheaper online. Room was cosy enough but no tea or coffee making facilities or even a full length mirror. Just a bed, shower, shower gel, soap and a hairdryer. The bathroom had a sliding door that either didn't stay shut or was difficult to open. Skylights were nice but I had to climb on a chair to close the blinds. Breakfast was included for ?8 but again not really worth it. Continental select... Read more

This hotel is truly not worth your visit unless it's ALL about saving money. On the upside, it's reasonably clean and the sheets were fine. Also the location is not bad - walking distance from the Central train station (airport connection). The town centre, as with most hotels, is walking distance away. However, I find it hard to believe that they couldn't frame some posters and hang anything on the walls. The room looks like a mix of a student dorm and a prison cell. It's depressing and you s... The hotel has a very nice location and convenient for tourist sites. The metro train is just 3 minutes away, the environs are quiet and relaxed, clean and friendly receptionist.Definitely going back..

I needed a really affordable place to stay in Brussels, and came upon Hotel du Congres in my search. After seeing lots of positive reviews I decided to go with it. It turned out to be absolutely perfect for me. I give it 5 stars, because in this price range, what they offer is excellent. I have zero complaints. As a single traveller, I got a tiny, twin-bed room, but it was everything I needed. (I think it was #107, if I remember correctly - tucked in an odd corner by the lift). I had a window o... Read more

I have stayed at the Hotel du Congres in Brussels several times. It si modern and old-fashioned in a strange combination as modern rooms have been fitted into an old building. On one floor you enter into the rooms through an old mirrored wall. The service is excellent, the breakfast room and the lobby is nice. It is my favorite hotel in Brussels and it is not super-expensive.

My room on the 3rd floor was really tiny ... and quite hot. Still it was clean and quite during the night as I had to sleep with open window. The bed was comfortable. Definitely a hotel for short stays, mainly business trips. Close to Metro station.

Many many stays at this charming hotel - and this time, was the very best! Its central but tranquil location has had me returning year after year. Delightful staff, the courtyard garden is a real bonus, fast free wifi, great breakfast, and this time I got a really superb room with a staircase to a huge bathroom! I so love the Hotel du Congres, and simply wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else when in Brussels. The weekend rate (when the city is less crowded) is a real bargain for the quali... Read more

This is a very nice mid range hotel with very good prices. I found the staff helpful though a phone call to remind me of the check out time seemed a bit unnecessary at the end of my stay. The check in is friendly and efficient, the room is comfortable and what you would expect of amid range hotel. My only reservation with this hotel is the bathroom door is a sliding door no sound proofing, so that's a little set back when you are sharing a room.
