Great position in the heart of the european district and strategic also for the city center. Large rooms, very confortable with large tv screen and very quiet and cozy. Good service and free wi-fi. Great value for money.

The hotel is situated on a quiet side street. Despite a slightly weird decor, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel room. Quiet ventilation, a huge double bed, and a spacious room. I opened up the window and got all but silence from the quiet streets, and slept like a child. Shower and bathroom ok. The breakfast was ok value. No scrambled eggs or bacon, but a decent selection of cold meats and cheese, croissants and bread rolls. The orange juice was really good, coffee ok All in all, in a ci... Read more

This was my second stay here. Much better than first one. I had room 64, just what I needed at the end of the building, super quiet, warm and comfortable. Wifi was good, shower too. All the essentials you need for a short business trip to Brussels. Location is excellent for EU-related activities!

The hotel is not far from European Commision building. It is very nice and quiet, the room is spacious and well decorated. The staff is nice and try to fulfill every guest's request. I didn't like the breakfast, because there wasn't anything hot to eat. Although there was a great fresh juice everyday.

Hotel Chelton is not a luxury hotel, but it is a really pleasant and comfortable place to stay, somewhat outside the center of Brussels. The reception area has a bit of the charm of a log cabin; the welcome was friendly. My room was spacious and furnished with good taste - some may find it a bit plain but I liked it. Nice large wooden desk; Wifi worked very well. A true highlight was the breakfast in the comfortable breakfast room. Great choice of food, outstanding variety of slightly unusual ja... Read more

Excellent location for people who want to stay near the European Commission. It is near Metro and a Bus Stop for buses direct from the Airport. The rooms are spacious and clean. Generally a very good value for money.

Very close to Berlaymont (the Eu Commission big building), a cosy and nice hotel, affordable and with character. Don't get mislead by the small entrance and narrow hall, stairs and elevator - it's worth it. The breakfast room is a gem, and the breakfast itself very very good. Not the widest variety of food, but everything very tasty and fresh.

The hotel itself is at a very good location and very lovely indeed. But my experience with the reception is quite a disappointment. (I made my reservation on booking.com) Firstly, he took a photocopy of my passport, together with the front of my credit card. Taking photocopy of passport is common, but taking a photocopy of my credit card, on the same paper of my passport, has never happened to me before. When I asked for a reason, he said this is just how it is done here, without any reason, w... Read more

Pros: pretty pleasent stay. Simple, clean and quiet. We stayed on a very large room. The deco was minamalist sharp and elgant. Strong wifi, good tv. Good location if you have no problems walking or cycling. now the Cons: the elevator was too small. Kinda like a metal box. The bathroom was devided in two. On check-in, staff was insisting on having a credit card or we wouldnt stay there, even thoug the room was already paid? If you want quick breakfast or meal, you have a supermarket within 200... Excellent good-value hotel. Nice Touch to have bottled water and chocolates in an inexpensive accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Good Wi-Fi. Breakfast was good though maybe at ?14 a tad expensive. However in general excellent.

Stayed 3 nights on business in July. Asked for a top floor room after reading other TA comments. The hotel is pretty basic in terms of service, didn't spot a bar, and didn't try the breakfast. However if you get a top floor room you will get a private terrace and a shared terrace with the most amazing views of Brussels. These rooms start with the number 50 but are on the fourth floor. I'll try to explain! My room's entrance was on the 4th floor and you went up a fairly tight spiral staircase t... Read more

The service is great! The place is very nice with AC and very clean. They are always asking about the service and resolving any trouble. The place is five minutes walking from the metro. This is the perfect place.

The hotel is near the EU buildings. The rooms are clean and the service is good. The price is good in order to the service and the structure. The wifi connection works very well. From the big terrace on the rooftop there's a good sight of Bruxelles

I arrived tired and late for a meeting, wanting to simply drop my bags and head out the door. The reception told me that the hotel policy was that I could not pay at check out and had to settle the bill immediately, even after a photocopy of my credit card was taken. The quality of the staff is very poor- unfriendly young hipsters who are are not really interested in working. I twice had to wait at least 10 minutes until the reception staff had finished their cigarettes before coming back to th... Read more

Thankfully the lift was working as we were on the top floor but still had to negotiate stairs. Room large and clean. No tea or coffee facilities which would have been fantastic. A good 20 mins brisk walk from centre of the city but very close to EU community. Reception team on the whole ok but nothing to write home about. Breakfast plentiful. On street parking. Probably wouldn't stay again but would choose a more central location.

I needed a place close to the eu parliament building which this is. As all hotels go in Brussels, the value for money is rather poor, but in this case definitely not bad. The decoration with pallet-like walls in combination with the poor lightning makes it a rather moody place. The 60's accessories and music systems contribute to the relaxed but sombre atmosphere. The breakfast is adequate. All-in-all convenient, not bad pricing but the place definitely does not cheer you up, so if you are havi... Read more

Although the reception area looks a bit like a hostel, the room was very comfortable, breakfast wholesome and good quality and the soundtrack playing was fab. The hotel is very good value and convenient to the Commission offices.

I had an excellent offer from booking.com and paid 38? for one night (1 person). If I take the price into account this was probably one of my best price/quality ratio! However if I would have to pay more than 100? as it costs sometimes I would probably not come to this hotel. The location is great if you need to do something in the EU area (EPSO, Council, Commission, Parliament...). For tourists for the first time in Brussels it's too far from the centre although Ambiorix, Centenaire and Mar... Read more

Me and my girlfriend, who are both government sector employees, decided to travel Brussels, Belgium as my girlfriend had to travel there for a conference related to her job. We, therefore, booked a room with a cancel option that would be valid until 2 days before the arrival date. However, becaues of the coup attempt in Turkey, we were not allowed to get out of the country as none of the government employees can do so. Nevertheless, we were told by the officials to wait until the last date caus... Read more

The hotel has a nice and particular furniture design, with walls covered by raw wood axes. My room was very big, silent and very clean. The breakfast is also good, with an excellent selection of particular jams and pancakes. There is a nice terrace at the 4th floor. Inside the hotel there is a small restaurant/self service which I tried at lunch, with a daily offer of plates made, as it seems, with good ingredients. Staff was helpful, there is a luggage room to leave the baggage, and the lady al... Read more

I booked the hotel for business reasons with a colleague of mines. When I arrived in the evening after a day spent between Zurich, Prague and Brussels I got my double room at the hotel, on the last floor. Space in the room around the bad was almost 0. Bathroom was horrible. The nice thing is that my colleague got a room that you couldn't complain about. Obviously I asked to have the same kind of room and the receptionist insisted that I got a double room as booked and that she could not do anyt... Read more

We got a pretty good deal on this hotel and decided to check it out. It's a small hotel which looks like it was refurbished not too long ago; the downstairs reception area has quite an interesting feel to it with wood panel design and the hip and happening organic lunch/brunch area which is also accessible to the general public. We were given a spacious room on the top floor with a mezzanine, which we really appreciated. While I certainly feel like we got good value for money, I did miss a littl... Read more

Experience can confirm other reviews: if the rooms given may have problems, changing to another room & find a solution that is satisfactory to the clients may not necessarily be the approach chosen by this hotel. Pity because the hotel could be a quite and nice one.

Great location in a quiet street, very close to the EU institutions. The staff was very nice and friendly. The standard double room was big, clean and comfortable. I would definitely book a room here again!
