Lovely room and in easy reach from Brussels-South Station and trams in every direction. I had a limited time in Brussels and this made a comfortable base from which I could make the most of the time I had to explore. Not the friendliest establishment I've stayed in, but the facilities were all good, the room a fair size and I would stay there again.

We stay at that hotel for 4 nights. It was a good location because it was at a walking distance from the train station, the Grand Place and a lot of museums. The price was very reasonnable and if you reserve directly from their site, breakfeast will be included. Be carefull when you choose your room, some of the bedrooms have the toilets outside of the bedroom. The personnel was helpfull, breakfeat was nice and there are a lot of restaurant around.

This hotel has an excellent location mid way between the Eurostar station and Brussels city centre. We fully expected to leave the bags at reception and come back at the stated 3 pm to check in, the receptionist was having non of it and our rooms were made available there and then about 11am, happy travellers! The hotel was very clean and the rooms were comfortable, mix that with it being quite quiet yet a 5 min walk to the city's buitiful central square and it was perfect for our group of mid 3... The hotel was clean and well situated on a nice square with several restaurants. Our room was on an air shaft and every sound was amplified making it very noisy; and there was no air flow so the room was very hot even though it was not hot outside.. The toilet and shower were separated which was OK except the toilet room smelled like a sewer. The TV did not work and, even though the night manager tried to fix it, he failed to notify the owner who then became very argumentative at check out and ca... If you are looking for a central place to stay in Brussels without paying much the Hotel La Grosse Cloche is surely one good option. Located a few hundreds meters away from the Grand Pace, the hotel is a bit old style but yet well maintained for a very reasonnable price. The room I got was spacious, confortable and clean with a nice bathroom with bath. A special mention for the good quality breakfast. Surely a nice way to start the day.

I used to live very close to Place Rouppe, and when I went bak to Brussels I wanted to stay in the area. I like the location as it is very close to the center and there are a lot of nice restaurant around (just across the street Houstiplou, for example). The hotel is a bit old and would need some renovation, but it is clean and comfortable enough. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom was enormous and well equipped (shampoo, shower cup, soap, a nice amount of towels). The personnel is extremely n... Read more

4 nights, single room with private bathroom. I booked directly through the hotel‚??s website and free breakfast was included in the price. Note that some rooms have private bathrooms and some have shared facilities so take care when booking. The location is good for a tourism stay ‚?? an easy walk from Brussels Midi station (as well as trains, the bus to Waterloo departs from Midi) and also close to the Grand Place. The hotel is an old, carefully maintained property rather than the bland corpo... Read more

My room was very large and comfortable with a large bathroom, overlooking Place Rouppe. The location is quite convenient, an easy walk to Grand Place and (as it turned out) the Midi train station. Many thanks to the kind gentleman at the desk who insisted that it was much faster and easier to walk to Midi (thankfully, I pack light) than attempt to take an unreliable taxi. Since I had a cold, I have never been so happy to see a hot pot and teabags. Wi-fi was free and worked well. A very good ... Read more

I only stayed one night en route to a conference elsewhere. So please bear in mind that my impressions may not be as well informed as others. For anyone travelling by Eurostar and reasonably fit, this is an ideal location. It's an easy and direct 10 min walk from Brussels midi (South, not central) station, where the Eurostar terminates. The area you walk through isn't the finest but it seemed perfectly safe and there were lots of people about. Better yet, once you've freshened up, you're only ... Read more
