My partner and I stayed here 24th - 29th March 2016. I will start by saying after the recent bombings many had cancelled their stays. However we decided to go and had a fantastic time. We were given a room on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel and very pleased. We had asked for a quiet room. The room was extremely clean and what we had expected. There was a king size bed, enough storage for our needs and a perfectly adequate en-suite with a shower. This was cleaned everyday. 15 euro for brea... Read more

Personnell was very kind, but I was put in a room in the basement (-1) which was a bit humid and the fittet carpet had several stains. Not really a pleasant setting. The room was cold so I asked to increase the temperature. This was done centrally and whenever you want to change you have to go to the reception. There is room for structural improvement. A colleague had a better room, but the heating problem was the same.

A couple of blocks from the Grote Markt...close to many places to eat. Very clean and half the price of the Radisson Blu where I was staying with a group. After they left...I moved! The staff was very helpful. WiFi worked great...just one device at a time. Bonus for me was the bathtub for soaking in after hours of walking around the city! No ice or coffee in the rooms but for the price...what a deal!!!

Its a clean hotel located at the heart of Brussels. However, the isolation is almost non-existing. You could nearly hear people in the next room breathing. Also when other people open or close their doors your door also makes this noise which may wake you in the middle of the night.

This hotel was exactly what I was looking for it had a great price, really was a 2 minute walk from the square.. was walking distance to everything, esp grand central station. The room was perfect size and nice and clean with good size bathrooms. I couldnt have gotten luckier. The reception lady was so helpful and recommended great restaurants for us to try out. What a pleasant stay. Only negative was the wifi you had to sign into every time you left your phone for 5 minutes unattended so i mis... Read more

we were here for rock werchter and just needed a bed, a shower, a central location and 24 hr reception to let us in after the festival. it met all of these needs. the reception staff met basic standards, they didnt blow us away with friendliness, but that was fine. the bed was a 6.5 or 7 out of 10. again, enough. wasn't spectacularly comfortable, but for two nights it did the job. the location was great, right next to central station with plenty of places to eat and drink around the shower w... The position is the main strength of this hotel. Close to La Grande Place and just 5 minutes walk from Bruxelles Centrale Train station. Quiet area, close to the main centre with lots of restaurants and bars. Bed was comfortable.

It is a modest and quite old hotel downtown. It is very well located near by Grand Place. However it would require a strong refurbishment to make it less noisy and cleaner. - Change the windows by double glazed windows and appropriate frame to avoid being the last to sleep and the first to raise in the city... - Refurbish the bathroom and add some lights.... Rooms are large and mattresses of good quality.

The hotel was easy to find, had friendly staff and close to everything. The room was a good size but the hot water took ages to come through. While there is no parking at the hotel there are parking buildings close by (euro 15 per night at the time). There are many restaurants close by. The bathroom had marks on the tiles which were cleaned off the next day. The tiles were cracking in the corner. The room was too hot at nights but we could not find a way to change it despite claims that it wa... Read more

We were actually due to at a different hotel but ended up here, which was a blessing! The staff were very friendly and welcoming (unlike the other hotel we were meant to stay at!) the rooms were comfortable and Clean with nice big windows. The location is very central and about a 5 minute walk to the Grand Place, yet I must say it was very quiet location in the evenings making it easy to sleep. I would definitely stay here again when back in Brussels.

For what you pay, this hotel is quite good. We needed a connecting room and the second room was up a spiral staircase and had its own door (to the hall way and to our room). The downside is that the upstairs room did not have any windows to the outside. The bathrooms were less than adequate. The shower is small, shampoo and soap is all they give you. The connecting room's shower didn't work at all and instead used our shower. Our shower head kept coming off resulting in a very wet bathroom. Th... Read more

Alma hotel is located in a small and calm street near Brussels Grand Place. You have lots of restaurants and bars around you and many attractions are within a walking distance from it (as well as the Central Station). The rooms are very comfortable and you can also buy local beers (with its respective glasses) at the reception.

Our room (04) in the basement was a bit bizarre in layout terms as the bed was on a mezzanine level with wooden steps leading to it from the entrance lobby and bathroom. The room was clean and furnished to a decent quality although some extra power sockets on the mezzanine level would be helpful. Decent price for a good location within a few minutes walk of Central station and the Grand Place.

We picked a really great hotel for the location in relation to the Grand Place, and Mannekin Pis, The staff all seemed very nice and professional. We had one small problem with the temperature in our room, I asked for it to be made warmer twice, the receptionist did try to make it warmer for me, but it didn't make any difference, maybe the heating was broke in room 105? The bathroom in the room was very nice and the shower is nice and powerful.

The room was clean and bigger than I expected for price. Heater was perfect on a cold night in November. The reception staff were always polite and check in was quick and easy. The area has plenty of food options and an easy walk to Central train station. Considering the price was only ?99 it is hard not to like this place.

We took a family room which turned out to be 2 interconnected rooms, which was fine. But what was terrible was that the room was extremely warm! There was no temperature control And no air flow in the room! There's only 1 receptionist who tried to help with a remote control & gave up! No manager & all she cld do was to email him . No maintenance people available to solve the problem as well. To make it worse, they did not have any other rooms available! How can a hotel run when such basic studs ... Read more

Spend here 2 nights and it was a good choice. It's located half a kilometre from Brussels Central and close to main square,Maniken Pis and other shopping areas like Grand place etc. Rooms were big, toilet clean and basic amenities available. Easily accessible to local transport and sorrounded by good restaurants. Overall a good choice and value for money.
