Whilst the Hotel is situated well outside the City Centre and a 30 minute walk away they do rent out bikes and offer a deal with a local taxi company. The staff were very welcoming and we were particularly impressed with the professional manner of Geert when dealing with the general public. We stayed over New Year and whilst the celebrations in the hotel were a little dull with just a disco we made up for it by visiting the City centre to join in with the excellent firework d... We stayed at the Velotel just before Christmas, for one night. We were visiting the Xmas markets in Bruges. At the time (Dec 16) there was building work around the hotel, which meant that parking was limited, but this is the only down-side to be honest. The reception staff were excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. You can buy tickets for a taxi into Bruges at 10 Euro each way. If for some reason you don't use it, they will reimburse you. This worked out very good value as the tax... Read more

Hotel was a good base for visiting the beautiful Christmas markets. Friendly staff. Our room over looked a park and was away from the building work that is on going. I recommend taking a taxi into the old town this will enable you to enjoy the food and drink that the town is famous for.

The facilities are OK, nothing special. A 6 euro bus ride from brugge train station. The best thing is the bike rental service, good bicycles for a nice short ride to the center, 9 euros for half a day. The worst is the area around the hotel very lonely, coming back walking at 7 pm its was very dark and a bit scary even!

We stayed in Bruges for one night during the busy weekend before Christmas and Velotel Brugge was pretty much the only hotel with rooms still available (our fault for booking late I guess!). The hotel is outside the centre of the city so you don't have the experience of stepping out of the door in to the beautiful city centre, but this wasn't too much of a problem. A taxi from the rail station cost around ?15 and a taxi to the centre was ?10. We were able to hire bikes for ?9.50 for a hal... Read more

I went to visit Bruges as part of a business trip for one day. I had no idea how truly an interesting place Bruges would turn out to be, so I am definitely coming back with my family. The hotel was nice, although had construction going on which made it a challenge to find parking and get into the hotel. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful.

We have just come back from a weekend in Brugge, and stayed at this hotel. Booked it through a website and got an excellent rate, 2 x B & B, plus 1 evening meal. (£148).Hotel is a bit out of town, but you could walk into the city in 30-40 mins. They do provide taxi service for E10 each way. Not easy to find unless you have a map of city, then find Eazel Strate, turn left opposite follow road up and over the moat surrounding the city, on far side turn immediately right, past Aldi then left, at 1... We had a stay in this hotel for a weekend. It is situated just outside the real town. You can walk for about 30 minutes of take a cap. The personel of the hotel looks understaffed. They need much time to handle your check in and check out. The rooms are clean but noisy. The price is reasonable for Brueges, a more expensive city. Breakfast is not much choice. Luckily the town is wonderful

Nice hotel, but not special. Currently a lot of renovation/expantion. Staff is very good, breakfast is great. Rooms are okay. Location is about a 15 minute drive from the centre or 20 minute walk. Parking in centre of Brugge is 3,50 a day.

Reasonably well, location is all but inspiring as well as the breakfast that lacks imagination. Rooms are a bit old and the inner climate is not that fresh. It felt good to get out to get fresh air. Service in breakfast restaurant was poor as well as the coffee (coffeesirup machines).
