I have stopped here a couple of times. We have driven from the ferry to Brugge, first time we found it very hard to find. The parking is a multistory in front of the hotel, I thought it was extremely good value for a weekend. The hotel is basic inside but has everything you need, it is an excellent price and a short walk to the center. You pay a lot more in Brugge and get some terrible, dirty hotels so we are sticking with this hotel for future visits.

Had a nice stay here with 3 bed room, one double bed with top bunk. Shower and sink in bedroom with separate room for toilet and also TV. ONE TIP:when leaving bruges central train station from the stairs turn left to exit through the main entrance then turn right. The hotel is just up the escalators over a carpark. Ask in station to make sure you are going the right way

I stayed here for 2 nights for a city break with my husband. The location was extremely good. It was a short walk to the city centre and the walk was a nice one - you could go through the park by the lake which was beautiful. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, it sounded quite expensive for a continental breakfast and there was a supermarket very close by that had a bakery so we figured we'd get breakfast at the supermarket instead. The room was quite basic and very small, but it was sp... Read more

We have visited Bruges for one day. The hotel is just behind the railway station, at the border of the old town area. The hotel is basic, but with enough space and a modern design. The staff is nice and helpful. We got our room even though we arrived much earlier than the check-in time. The room was clean and had a view of the railway station. I was afraid that I won't be able to sleep because of noise. But the isolation was perfect or maybe we were so tired that we didn't hear the noise made by... Read more

Very small room, only ok if you have few things with and it is summer. Breakfast is optional and poor, no Belgian waffles included, lots of bread an stuff. But location is quite good, not center, but station is near. Good access to everything.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. The hotel is located on the train station facing the car park which is a 15 minute pleasant walk into the town centre or a free short bus ride if you have parked the car on the park and ride car park (3.50 euros for 24 hours). The reception staff were very friendly and nice. The rooms are very basic but comfortable. The fans do not seem to be working in most of the bath rooms so not much fresh air enters the rooms which makes them smell slightly.... Read more

Tiny, tiny room with shower, sink and bed. Separate toilet - no lock. There were burns on the floor and a few holes in the curtain. But the bed was really comfortable, the shower was beautiful and hot and the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but for just the room the value was incredible. We couldn't have gone to Bruges at all were it not for this hotel, and the walk to the squares through minnewater park was magical. Brilliant.

- The location is perfect! Just besides Brugge train station. Very convenient for me as I have a day trip to Ghent and Ostend. About 15-20 walk to main tourist attraction (you can also take a bus). - The room size is not a problem since I stayed alone (it's a room for two people). One little workdesk (joint with the sink in the opposite side), no wardrobe, just one shelf + few clothes-hanger, no hairdryer (you can borrow it at the reception but I bring mine). V small room, v soft mattress. But central location, so convenient to walk into town. Parking is ?3.75 for 24 hours and adjacent to hotel. Problem is you don't find this place easily. They should invest in better signs. Staying in an IBIS Budget (formerly ETAP) is a bit like in a hospital, with all that linoleum on the floor. But you can't beat the price and know what you are getting for your money.

What a fantastic little budget hotel, the rooms are small and compact, but well designed. The beds are fantastically comfortable as standard with Ibis. The staff were friendly and helpful, the carpark is outside and cheap, you don't get a key but have to remember a number which is so much easier when wandering around the city. Breakfast is reasonable, the price of the rooms is reasonable and the location although not in the centre (you could not get this price in the centre) is easy walking d... Read more

Good: As with all Ibis hotels the bed was comfortable. Good hot powerful shower. Location about 15 ?? 20 mins easy walk to the centre (Market Square). Bad: Being a BUDGET Ibis the rooms are very small and cramped ?? there is nowhere to put anything including a suitcase without tripping over it. Really only suitable for one night stay. Make sure you ask for a garden view ?? rooms facing the back brick wall are dark & we found the room full of mosquitoes - we had to change rooms. I... Read more

We were looking for a good value hotel with easy access to parking close to Bruges and the Ibis was exactly what we were after. We had realistic expectations having read the many helpful TripAdvisor reviews, so there were no surprises with the clean, compact, simple, well designed room that we were allocated. As others have indicated, the shower is a frosted cubicle within the room, with a separate washbasin and bench within the room. I guess the lack of privacy may be an issue for some, but w... The Hotel was clean and the Staff was very friendly and helpful. At first the Hotel was not easy to find due to lack of signage. Eventually we found it. The cost of Parking with ? 3.50 a day is reasonable comparing with the general costs in Belgium. The hotel itself is very clean and modern, Ibis is a common hotel brand across Europe. Breakfast was not included however it was near the train station which provided other restaurants such as subway, Starbucks, Pano, and Domino. There was also an "Express" convenience store which included a variety of groceries and also hygienic tools. In terms of the location it was not that central, its about a 20 minute walk to the city center. It is a beautiful walk though! Highly recommend walking up the 3... Read more

Well! If your bag is "people watching", then this is a great place to do it. It's cheap, central and accessible from the station car park (drive up to the upper level and park as near the staircase as you can). The population in the area is "interesting". Modern basic hotel 15 mins walk from centre of Brugge next to central station. Dificult to find as you have to enter the station car park and go to the first level before you can see the entrance which, to make matters worse is not well displayed. Once inside it is a modern hotel suitable for overnight stops. Everything works well but it is small and quite basic.

The Ibis Budget has only one star on its door plaque but don't let that put you off. The rooms are modern, clean, with free and strong wifi throughout. One of the best showers I have had during my two weeks in Europe! It is literally three minutes walk from the Bruges train station next door. Ibis at the train station worked perfectly for me. As a solo traveller who was in Bruge only a for a night, I could not have picked a better hotel. 2 minute walk from the train platform to the hotel - so you can check in and then go to the main city centre. We stayed in this Ibis hotel for three nights, choosing a 3 beds room. The room is small, with a shower in the room (literally near your bed, with no wall to separate, just the shower cabin), but modern, functional and clean. the thing that bothered us the most was that you couldn't open the window more that 3-5 cm (which for a 3person room is extremely limited) , but it was enough space for hungry mosquitoes to come in.

Good points: clean, located next to train station, accessible for old town only 20 minute walk to centre, quiet. Downside: small and cramped rooms. We had a triple room and the third bed was above the double bed and for me that was quite claustrophobic so I did not sleep well at all.
