Having researched hotels, we picked this one with high expectations... We were not disappointed. The building itself is old and full of character. Our room (we paid for one of the bigger rooms) was spacious and very comfy. Amazing views from our window. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality. The location was perfect. Right in the city centre. The car parking is about a 15 minute walk away, however, very reasonably priced. You can get your car right... Read more

Hotel perfect. Reception staff delightful, welcoming and so helpful. We were allowed to park motorbikes in garage which was ideal. Had Room 15 which although only a twin had the most amazing views of the 3 churches, the cobbled lane and the typical Bruges architecture with all the modern amenities. Did not sample the breakfast as opted to go to the backstreet cafes! Would definitely stay again, thank you :)

Whilst I agree with all the reviews here..fab location, reasonable prices, elegant historic building and the unbeleivably comfy beds, I must add that we were in room 9 and we were disapppinted with the view from our room which was over some dirty flat roofing, not the idyllic views that the hotel and other visitors have posted. Also there had also obviously been some problems with leaks in the roof as our ceiling was dirty and badly stained making the room look uncared for. It was impossible ... Read more

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel de Goezeput. It was very close to the central square and major sights. The room was modern and quiet, despite being on ground level facing a major pedestrian street. I would recommend it.

great location close to centre, station and shopping. Outrageously expensive drinks in the bar. Rooms are looking a little shabbier than in the online photos, ours had nasty water damage on the ceiling which should have been repainted, otherwise clean and comfortable.

The hotel is in a very old building so dont expect a new build, and car parking can be awkward, but the room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfy, good continental breakfast, literally 10min walk from the main market square tho bars and restaurants are just round the corner, the staff are friendly and helpful, what more could you want we will definately stay again when in Brugge

We had a great time at this hotel. It is extremely conveniently located in bruges less than 10/15 min walk from the best attractions. The bus stop is on the nearby St saviour square about 2 min away. We stayed there with 2 young children and were made to feel very welcome. The continental breakfast was of high standard. The building is very typical of the city centre but be mindful of the stairs for young children and less able people. All in all, we would definitely stay there again

We liked the location and the staff was very nice and welcoming. We just had some issues with the rooms, that being that we asked to change to another one since ours was quite small and hard to move around. Aside from that it was very dusty and not good for our allergies. They were kind and allowed us to change to a bigger room which was also very dusty. I couldn't sleep very well the last night because of it. Going back to the hotel: the beds were comfortable, the showers were good, they had he... Read more

My colleague, her husband, and I stayed here with a university group that was vising Bruges for four nights. The students stayed in a nearby hostel, and we stayed in two rooms at Hotel Goezeput. The location is nice... down a quiet street near the heart of the town. The breakfast was very nice, the check-in/eating area was comfortable, and the staff was super friendly--they accommodated an early breakfast for us, arranged a group meal for 20 at a restaurant in town, and were generally very ple... We just had a wonderful stay at this small hotel in Brugges. We stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor that had exposed wooden beams and attic style windows with a great view of the cathedral. It was a very pretty and romantic room with a little sitting area. The bathroom was small but functional. The only downside is you can hear the late night crowd taking on the street, which I think would be the same for any hotel in this area. The hotel is within walking distance of all main sights in... Really nice, 5 minute walk to square. I had a broken leg while I was there and the location was brilliant, really close to everything, I was on the first floor in the hotel so it wasn't to hard to get up to the room, really nice place

Very nice welcome, very friendly staff, and spoke perfect english!! Gave us a map of the city and pointed out places to visit. The room although up lots of stairs, is a modern twist in an old building, has everything you need for a short break! Location is brilliant! & the view from our room is fab!

The hotel has a great location.lt is literally in the city center.Good staff.it is a very cozy hotel.Everything was great.lt is just that room needs a little maintenance as some of outlets were not working and the lamp in the room was out and we asked to the reception to change it but when we came nothing was done about it.Other than everything was wonderful.

The hotel is in a great location and it is very pretty! The people who work there are very nice. I thought the beds were very comfortable. When you first enter the hotel, the smell is a little odd. Also at night the cars passing by we're pretty loud. We were at this hotel on New Year's Eve, so at about 2:00 in the morning on New Tears day, people decided to have a party on the street outside our window It was so loud it felt like there were music speakers on full volume in our room! We stayed in room 7 - a triple room, very spacious with a lovely view towards the lane in front of the hotel. Simply furnished with big and comfortable beds (two near each other, the third in a corner niche), a nice wooden floor but so smooth that it was okay to walk bare foot. The bathroom is on the small size but elegant and comfortable, we are not big persons :) All spotless clean and very kind personnel. We loved it - very good quality for the money you pay and not too hot in July! We were n... Read more

We stayed for 4 days in one of the suites on the top floor. The room was lovely with authentic beams and the view of the town from our window was beautiful. The stairs was quite noisy and rickety but only added to the character of the hotel. We had 2 single beds pushed together which was not ideal but perhaps you can request a double. All in all we had a wonderful stay!

Very big and thin windows (one glass were cracked) that cannot be closed tightly + cobblestones outside = real feeling that you sleep on the street. Very noisy!!! My request of quiet room were ignored. All the rest is good: location, room, bathroom, bed, breakfast, wi-fi. However keep in mind that wooden stairways are steep and narrow, and if you got big and heavy baggage it will be hard to take it to higher level.

The Hotel de Goezeput is located near to the City centre and the main attraction from Brugge. From train station it is a convenient walk. The hotel is just a small one with 15 rooms. Hence check-in and the whole athmosphere is very familiar. The rooms (especially in the upper floor) give you a spacious feeling with view on the roof beams. Additionally the beds are very confortable. Really small is the bathroom (I cannot remember to have just such a small room as a bathroom despite on a Ferry shi... Read more

The location (proximity to the historic city center) is perhaps the biggest value of this hotel. However I was there not for the sightseeing, so it did not appeal to me. The stuff was friendly, and the breakfast, while limited by choice, still of good quality. My room (number 8) was the biggest disappointment. It did not have a separate toilet room. Instead it literally had a giant cupboard with built-in shower cabin and toilet. I am quite slim, but still I had to squeeze in. The room decoratio... Read more

Hotel Goezeput was a little treat for us after a day's travelling. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a refreshing beer on the sunlit terrace. Our room was absolutely beautiful, and the whole hotel exuded an old fashioned charm, mixed with a relaxed, modern approach. This hotel is quite quirky - old creaky staircase, small rooms with really high ceilings, and lots of character. It is in a great location - very close to everything, but not so close it is noisy. Very helpful staff, but our room was small, very clean, but with just a small space around the bed - though we hardly spent any time in there as there is lots to do in Bruges. Our room looked out over the front of the hotel which was a great view.

Lovely friendly and helpful welcome. Great location, near the city, easy walk in. Room was nice and bright and big enough for an overnight stay. Bathroom was nice, although the shower didn't drain away very well. The room was also a little noisy from the road and the creaky stairs. There was also a large bulge in the ceiling which was a little worrying. Breakfast was nice, kids ate for free - which was a bonus. Enjoyable stay, and good price for an expensive city.

I visited Bruges for the first time in August 2016. Hotel de Goezeput was a very good choice: very closed to the centre, cozy inside (and outside), warm and helpful "crew", very good breakfast. We had a room at the second floor and stairs were difficult with big suitcases as the ones we had, but room was very big and so nice that we forgot the stairs. Windows were on the street but it was silent during the night. I would have appreciated a teapot in the room.

A charming boutique hotel in what used to be a convent. Nice continental breakfast buffet available. Close to everything in Bruges. Decor is charming but the breakfast area and bar downstairs are modern. Be warned there is no lift and the wooden stairs are steep so consider this is you have a lot of luggage. Helpful friendly staff

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Location was perfect for us being a 10 minute walk from the train and bus station but only a short walk from the main centre. Nice quiet location too. We had a superior room on the top floor which was very comfortable - small bathroom but nicely fitted out. Nice breakfast with good quality ingredients. If we return to Bruges, we will most likely stay here again.

We stayed here one night, absolutely loved the hotel and room, only complaint was when we were checking out. We were in a rush and needed to catch our train, a man at the desk tried saying we didn't pay (we booked on Expedia) and said that Expedia just held the room and never charged us. I was able to bring up the email showing that we had paid. Then he said we owed him 2.12? for each guest as a tourist tax and that wasn't included in our booking, with no time to argue with him, we paid him in... Read more
