Stayed here for three nights in early Jan 2017. The room was comfortable albeit very small and the decor badly needs updating. We were unable to get the wifi to work during our stay. We had breakfast one morning as we had pre-booked an excursion with an early pick up. The breakfast was nice, everything you'd expect from a continental breakfast really, worth the ?6pp. The staff throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly, check in/check out were easy. The best bit about this hotel is the... Read more

This hotel could not have been better located being right in the centre of Bruges overlooking the river/canals. On arrival we were thrilled with the location and the lady on reception was very helpful and we could leave cases in reception whilst we parked the car. This lady was the older member of staff, not the young lady and man who were on duty over the Christmas period. The room was on the second floor and was very spacious with a small sitting area with two armchairs which was pleasant.; ... Read more

A last minute deal with a standard room which was not standard at all. Peeling wallpaper, no central heating and equipment not useable. We did get an upgrade room the following day which was much better. Front dest staff were very helpful, but kitchen staff were less accommodating and cleaning was not great at all. If you want cheap than it's a good deal, but if you want a city break and luxury then this is not the place to be.

Just got back from Brugge with friends . We stayed at this hotel 4 yrs ago. We recommended this hotel as we where we'll impressed with it then. Sadly they have let the hotel go.... It is really looking tired and scruffy....it needs a serious make over...I understand there is renovation work ongoing but surely you would make an effort in trying to keep the rest of the place to a decent standard. The location is ideal, not far from the main square. Breakfast is ...ok, nothing to write home about. ... Read more

An old building in the photogenic heart of Bruges. An unbelievable location. This corner appears in all the guide books. A Hilton it is not but if you enjoy the character and quirks of an ancient building this is for you. Some other reviewers refer to lack of cleanliness, we saw no dirt, only the patina of age. Our room was large and comfortable.

This hotel is absolutely central in Bruges, and has stunning views of the canal. The mattress was a bit thin, and I could feel springs when laying on it and turning over. The toilet was a single cubical in the bedroom, and with a bright overhead halogen light and a frosted door, leaves little imagination whilst on the throne. However, did I mention the location? Amazing!

Sweet little hotel situated in the centre of Bruges not too far from the main square. The breakfast is a good choice of continental food with fresh local bread and is constantly well stocked. The breakfast room is overlooking the canal which is a lovely calming way to start the day. This is an inexpensive hotel and you definitely get what you pay for, please note that if you're wanting a romantic weekend away it should be noted the walls are rather thin (as we found out from the next door neigh... Location was fabulous, right in the centre of everything and beautiful views of the canal. Our room was clean and tidy and had a lovely view but did need serious updating. We went on a last minute deal so for the price and the location we had, we really could not complain! Parts of the hotel were being refurbished which was good news. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and very nice. Overall a good stay- I'll go back when it has been refurbished though!

This hotel has the best location and views in Bruges. Although the hotel is in need of updating it is definitely adequate (per the owner, they are staring a multimillion dollar renovation of the hotel the last week of October). The room that my partner and I had was a corner room, like a penthouse, full of windows that opened and fabulous view of the canal with a nice updated bath. One of the negatives of this hotel is that the wifi is very spotty and we had to go down to the lobby most of the... Read more

If this hotel was in a less central position, I would have considered it quite poor overall. Its location makes it stand out - overlooking canals, bells, all the magic of Bruges can be seen from the windows overlooking the canals. However the room itself left a lot to be desired. There is no excuse for wallpaper peeling, clumps of dust behind the radiator, shower with no curtain ? The beds were comfy and we slept well on our one night stay. Breakfast next day was served in a nice room ove... Read more
