The hotel is in a great location, less than 5 minutes (if you don't stop in the chocolate shops) from the main Markt square where the Belfort is. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful and gave good recommendations on where to visit and eat. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our breakfast was of very high quality and all tasted very fresh. It was a very nice touch to have free bottled water available by reception too. I was sad to leave the hotel and Bru... Read more

Stayed here as group of friends and it was fantastic.....most definitely helped by Raymond, the receptionist, who was always on hand to offer advice on any query. Nothing too much trouble for him. We had booked a triple room and had a lovely two bedroom unit which was perfect. It was conveniently situated on a really quiet side road, close to a shopping street. Breakfast was super, offering usual meat, cheese, fresh fruit, cereal and egg with beautifully fresh bread. Coffee was continuously topp... Read more

Could not have been happier with this hotel. First, the gentleman working the front desk most of the weekend we were there, was so friendly and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable and the free breakfast was everything you could wish for. Unlimited free bottles of water was the icing on the cake.

A lovely old building that has been beautifully refurbished and modernised. Very tastefully decorated in rooms and public spaces. The very friendly gent on the desk is a wonderful welcome, and makes you feel like part of the family. Very spacious room was a welcome change for Europe. Great bed and decent pillows! Fairly priced too. Excellent location on quiet lane but close the the centre of town. I would have scored a 5 if it had a fridge in the room and a shelf in the shower. It's obviously a ... Read more

Stayed five nights. Location is perfect for exploring Bruges. Good breakfast. Fresh towels every day. Free internet. Three issues. No safe in room meant us carrying all our valuables with us everywhere. Toilet wasn't being cleaned. We had to pay a city tax which we weren't aware of booking through Chairman Mao on wardrobe doors was interesting but it wouldn't take you to be offended by communism! We enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel to others.

This hotel is what we are looking for. 5 min from the markt very good location. Rooms are really comfortable and clean. I dont know about other rooms but our room is pretty large. Very helpful receptionist. Better then expected. Definitely recommended.

Roomy and cozy at the same time. Excellent staff and location. Not sure what else you could ask for! We had a family suite and it was so much bigger than i expected - all 4 stayed very comfortably. My kids informed me this was their favorite hotel ever!

Huge, clean rooms with large bathrooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location, right downtown. For the price, this hotel simply cannot be beat! One of the nicest European hotels I have stayed in for under $150. I would recommend this place to anyone and would certainly stay again.

We had booked to stay in the house of bruges but due to a recent refurbishment and the smell of wet paint we agreed to stay here. We came herr as part of a larger trip for my birthday. The receptionist Raymond, welcome us in and explained where places of interest where as well as provided us details of good restaurants in the area. There was a small lounge area downstairs with fire and free coffee, teas and pastries for when you wanted one. The hotel also had an outside area if you wanted the su... Read more

We stayed here on our family trip to Bruges and had a fantastic time. The rooms are super quiet and comfortable, the staff is very friendly, and the hotel is right in the middle of the historic part of town, within walking distance of most of historic Bruges. There is an underground parking lot within a couple blocks with relatively inexpensive overnight parking. This is a great place to stay when visiting Bruges!

The Hotel is located only like 300 meters to the central market place but secluded in a small street without traffic. Rooms are surprisingly large. We booked for three people and got a large room with not only an extra bed but an extra room inside (room #14). Plenty of space. The same is true for the rest of the hotel. You'll find sofas and chairs (and sweets!) practically everywhere... Staff is very nice and helpfull! Breakfast is good (but you could find better places). Parking only in a publi... Read more

Clean room, great air conditioning, and good customer service. My flight left early on Saturday morning and the breakfast room did not open until 7:30, but the woman working in the breakfast area was kind enough to let me get in early, so I was not forced to eat airport food. That made the place a 5 instead of 4!

An excellent hotel. Very friendly welcome. Our room was quite large - massive bed - clean bathroom. Very good cold buffet breakfast - plenty of food & drink regularly replenished by staff. The hotel is very conveniently situated for the central market place, restaurants, the Concertgebouw & shopping streets. All of the main attractions are within easy walking distance, as is the railway station - but be aware that most of the streets are cobbled if you have wheeled luggage. No tea/coffee makin... This hotel was a huge surprise! Totally new on the inside, comfy furniture, nice staff, great breakfast! Our room was the apartment for three people: huge with small balcony and two bathrooms. Great! Many TV channels. I think the remodel is fairly new, still working on final details, hopefully their prices stay the same. I think we were around 120usd for a night. Great deal!!

I made this booking online and wanted to pay in advance of arrival. All other 5 hotels on my trip were happy to just take my money straight away; this place?! Nope. Copies of cards, scans of passports, etc. I‚??m giving my money away here, just take my ‚?¨600!! The attitude of the girl emailing me wasn‚??t particularly ideal and I did consider cancelling and giving my booking to someone more appreciative but eventually all sorted and I‚??m glad I did stay here. There are two entrances to the hot... Read more

Last time we visited, this hotel was being refurbished, it is now done and is a lovely place to stay. Right in the heart of Bruges just off one of the main shopping streets, it is just a 5 minute walk to the main square. The rooms are large and the beds huge, it is very comfortable although rather hot when we went. There is no air conditioning but we had a very effective fan in the room. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. From pastries to breads, to ham and cheese a... Read more

This is a very neat hotel- looks like maybe it was an apartment before. We had a lovely suite with living room, washroom and 2 bedrooms. There was a nice courtyard and candy treats available all day; also tea and coffee station, which is very convenient. Continental breakfast was included and was very good/fresh. There was parking down the street from the hotel in a public parking garage for a decent rate. The hotel was close to the main square and easy walking distance to everything in Bruges.

On our return trip from Normandy we were told that we could not miss stopping at Bruges (Brugge) Belgium. Great advice! What a fantastic city! We booked this hotel on TripAdvisor and could not have been happier. The staff spoke English (not a requirement, but it was nice) and the room was spacious and clean! Minimal decoration, comfortable beds - just a nice place. Breakfast was incredible and consisted of a variety of meats, cheeses, and breads.

hotel on a very central location close to all attractions. The entrance to the hotel was at a side street which at first made me feel apprehensive, however as we walked through the huge doors into a wonderful courtyard I knew that we had picked the right place. Although the Sablon was a small hotel the rooms were spacious, very clean and very modern. The Continental breakfast was exceptional, the staff extremely helpful. The only negative comment that I have is that there was no air conditioning... Read more

We stayed 3 nights, and after a couple of early hiccups we were fully satisfied with all aspects of the hotel. We had requested a room with king-size bed, but were given a twin-bedded room, but when we queried this we were offered a family room with a king and two smaller beds, but the member of staff said she felt the first one was a much nicer room, we agreed and opted for that. The room was at the side of the hotel - and so quiet!! As we went to bed at the end of the evening we found a proble... Read more

The hotel is well located in the City Center, just few steps from Church Sint-Salvatorkerkhof. The architecture and decoration of common parts and rooms are extremely pleasant and charming. The only disadvantage is that reception is closed after 22h.So, if you need 24h prompt assistance you should look for a regular hotel. Breakfast is ok, but could be better if they offered more options of eggs, cheese and fruits. There are free water bottles and candy available. Room is renewed and very comfo... Read more

My partner and I stayed at this hotel very recently for a long weekend in Bruges. We arrived in the evening and were greeted by Raymond which was a lovely welcome. He gave us an overview of Bruges and great tips for sightseeing, eating out etc. Our first impressions of the hotel itself were also good, with a nicely decorated foyer and an outside area which I can see being popular in the warmer months. Our room was great; we had a standard double with ample space for two. It was also well decora... Read more

We stayed here on October 6th, unfortunately only for one night. It is a very comfortable hotel in the heart of Bruges - get rid of your car and walk everywhere. Nice large modern bedroom and bathroom and a wonderful breakfast. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Bruges.

The hotel is clean with modern rooms and nice large bathrooms. On both nights had a good night's sleep.... One of the best beds I have slept on ! Lovely location in a quiet street just off the main roads. Everything is within walking distance - including the train station - it took us 15 minutes to get there to catch trains to Brussels (and then the Eurostar). It is pricey for what you get, but the rooms are huge and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. No coffee or tea in the room, but some downstairs which you can help yourself too - as well as some lovely pastries. Would return any day!

Family of 4 trip to Brugge. A great hotel in a fabulous location, convenient to all the major attractions! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is boutique-like, so not your normal cookie cutter design. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Reasonably priced for the centre of Brugge. Breakfast was continental, no hot foods which was a slight drawback, but still very good. Would be nice to have a TV in the sitting area in our family room. Also, would be great to have coffee/t...
