A three night visit with my wife, who has never been the Belgium before. A lovely little hotel just far enough away from the Market Square, but easily walked in a few minutes. The room(31) was a little small, the bedroom almost the size of the bathroom, but very clean and well presented. The continental breakfast was very well stocked with cheeses, cold meats, breads, croissants, cereals and boil your own eggs. Fruit juices, tea and coffee served by the family...perfect.

The hotel is five minutes walk from the city centre and ideally located in a scenic area. The canal is to one side and the hotel faces the square. It is an old quiet part of the city with memorable buildings all around, parts of the hotel dating back hundreds of yeas. The couple running the hotel are kind, helpful and forever smiling, They welcomed us and we felt part of the family. Breakfasts were good and plentiful, the rooms spacious and the bathrooms clean. A big plus point is the lift to al... Read more

The hotel is small, unpretentious, clean and just a short, pleasant walk away from the centre and all its attractions. Our room (24) was at the front of the hotel on the first floor and had excellent wifi as it was directly above the Reception. It is a small room with all the basics including a small safe, a hair drier and a reasonably priced minibar. Our big problem was not being able to sleep well. Firstly, we needed to have the window open as it was warm and there is no air con, but this mean... Read more

Stayed here for a weekend break. Quiet and peaceful location by a canal in the old Hansa district, it's only a 5 minute walk to Burg. Comfortable rooms and lovely fresh breakfast. Only negative - the ultra thin bath towels....

This small hotel really delivered! The rooms, although not that big, were spotlessly clean with tea/coffee making facilities. Decor is comfortable and homely. The service at reception was very helpful and the breakfasts offered everything we wanted. Location is excellent within approx 7 mins walk to the main market square, and a picturesque canal at the rear. We would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors to Bruges.

Visited Bruges for the first time. This hotel is brilliantly situated near to all that's going on, but sited in a quiet location. The hotel is quaint and cosy. Our room was spotless and comfortable. We had a view over the canal, it was lovely to see families of Moor hens, ducks and the occasional swan swimming by. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, we would visit again.

This small family-run hotel, in a building with history, is very pleasant for a B&B stay in Bruges. The entrance/lounge and dining room are nicely kept and decorated and the buffet continental breakfast is good. Our room was quite adequate, though the pillows were not the best. The hotel is in a quiet corner of town, but just a short and pleasant walk to the centre. If you're interested in art history, the walk route takes in statues of Jan van Eyck and Hans Memling, the most famous of the Flemi... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for two days. The location was central and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is next to a canal and you pass plenty of shops as you take the short walk walk into the central square. Breakfast was tasty. I was very impressed with the egg boiler ! Our room was enormous, clean and comfortable. The en-suite loo was spacious and clean. The decor of the hotel felt authentic and stylish. I cannot overstate the helpfulness of the staff. They were wonderful.

Stayed for 3 nights beginning of July, traveled Eurostar with a change at Brussels Midi, pretty straightforward. Taxi to Bryghia, 10 euros including tip. Arrived around 6.30pm rang the bell within seconds someone appeared booked in within 5 minutes of arriving in room unpacking. Room was on the small side as was the bathroom, in the room was a flat screen television (never switched it on) and tea coffee making facilities, the size was not a problem if you are going to spend a lot of time in your... We had travelled overnight to Bruges by ferry from Hull then stayed just the one night here. What a lovely characterful hotel. The entrance hall, dining area & reception area are full of lovely antiques & quirky items (especially the egg boiler as everyone keeps mentioning) The owners & staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Our room (39) was very spacious & clean, which is all you need to explore this beautiful city. We heard the clock strike at 8am but who goes away to a beautiful place like ... Read more

Me and my friend travelled from London to Belgium by eurostar and railway train from brussels midi to bruges, and stayed in room 39 of the hotel for two nights. Hotel is very easy to find, and is right next to a canal (partial view from window) which is a must-do photo opportunity. Short walk from the main square, great breakfast served, friendly and helpful staff, and it had a homey, quaint, comfortable vibe fitting well with the medieval city of Bruges. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for three nights. Arrived in evening by car. Was met by one of the owners who quickly booked us in and showed us to our room. As we had booked one of their pick-up garages she offered to come with us to it due to one way system plus roadworks. Our room had a canal view and was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We would certainly stay here again as the owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a great location, within easy walking distance of the Markt but away from the noise. The room was small but comfortable, the bathroom large. The breakfast was excellent. The proprietor was friendly and incredibly helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We will return.

Room was ok. Man at desk was curt and not very helpful. Did not want to talk about tourist places nor recommend restaurants. Was about 1/2 mile walk from city center which was a bit of an issue since this town has limited public transportation. Overall 3/5.

Very lovely hotel, where we had fine service and the owners are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, not too big, but well equipped. Bathrooms are clean. The area is on the edge of the touristic city center, which means it is quite and well located. Free parking is available at 8 mins walk. The breakfast is absolutely ok. Just a nice fine hotel where the owners are hard working people and understand hospitality. We do recommend to stay in this hotel and if we come back to Bruges, we... Read more

I had my doubts until I got there as the photos I´ve seen weren't too appealing. The reviews were good and most of the accomodation in Brugge was more expensive I decided to give it a go... I had not so pleasant experiences in the past with this kind of hotels where in the end it was just old fashioned hotels, where managers didn´t want to bother to improve. But bryghia is different, a old building yes but it's clean and well maintaned... it's almost like being in a 50's hotel, with that vibe... Read more

We booked this Hotel online, based on Location and price, the hotel is overlooking a canal, less than five minutes walk from the centre, quiet location. The owners are Husband and Wife, they speak Flemish, Dutch, English, French and German, that we heard, all fluently. Very friendly, plenty of choice with the continental style breakfast, comfortable room, the owners even booked a taxi for us back to the Railway Station. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again.
