This was our first visit to Barbados and we choose the right place to stay, from start to finish we enjoyed every minute. Sugar Cane Club is lovely, the resort is very well maintained the gardens are lovely and the pool area is also very nice everything is kept so clean and tidy. Neil the pool barman is always happy and singing certainty kept us entertained thank you Neil. The sun beds could do with a cushion on though. Peter the manager was always around talking to the guest and making sure ev... Read more

Very beautiful resort in the hills ideal for a relaxing holiday. Delicious food, very comfortable suite, gorgeous gardens and pool area, fabulous spa (best pedicure ever). We had the most wonderful couple of weeks. My message to all of the staff at SCC is 'be proud of yourselves you do a fantastic job'.

The staff, the food & the location are all brilliant & then add a great new selection of house wines from Chile & what could be better! Could do with a little updating & TLC in the bathrooms & some public areas, But it is still my favourite place!!!

Only stayed here for one night as we were on to grenadines the next day. Amazing little hotel set in lush gardens on a hill side. Beautiful grounds with a must for bird lovers. Nice pool area with bar and lounge area with bar is very relaxing. Beach not far away and one of the best. Will definitely be coming back, but for longer next time. Love Barbados.

Ok so this was our twelfth visit! As far as we are concerned this is home from home. Whether you are a regular here ( as many are) or a first timer you are made very welcome. As this is a small venue a definite relationship develops between guests and staff enhancing your overall experience. This unique venue in its tranquil location must be experienced to be fully appreciated. Thank you Peter and the whole team for another memorable holiday at the SCC!!

Away from the beach, quiet and relaxing. Lots of birds and monkeys in the grounds. Good food in the restaurant but very slow service but we were not in a hurry. All inclusive very good with most meals A La Carte. Well stocked bar, excellent cocktails, Nice pool area where you can have lunch. Very spacious accommodation with a lovey big balcony. Staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Must mention Neil at the pool bar for outstanding service. Trip to the turtles must not be missed. Guests... Read more

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to SCC and looking forward to many more to come. The key to the success of this hotel is it's staff, from management to maids. Expertly led by Peter Charles the general manager, there is not one area of the hotel which fails to deliver. Almost impossible to single out any one member of staff but Neil who runs the pool bar deserves special mention for his non stop cheerfulness. If anyone is hesitating to book the SCC due to a handful of negative reviews, ig... Read more

This was our second visit after a gap of 6 years and the first time we have ever returned to a holiday destination. There are a few key things that make this such a good place to visit. It is a small resort with about 40 rooms, so you will know most of the staff well before you leave and they are the best hotel staff I've ever encountered. The service is fabulous and friendly. There are no children, so it is a pleasure to relax by the pool. Being inland, you are away from the beach by a 15 minu... Read more

On holiday in barbados last week and from the moment i booked my flight i knew i also wanted to visit a spa. Researched a number of options in barbados and all the positive reviews quickly led me to the Sugar Cane Club. I was already excited making my booking and was really not dissapointed. The atmosphere in the spa is so calming and relaxing you feel "zen" within 5 minutes. I had booked 3 treatments..for a total of 1.5 hours and my treatments were all done by Nikae (spelling?). Very pleasant, ... Read more

Enjoyed this hotel so much 18 months ago we had to come back. It's the 1st hotel we have genuinely felt that must return to. From the minute you arrive you fell relaxed and welcome. The staff really make the place, though the surroundings are stunning. From Michelle at reception, to Ricardo in the bar. Nothing is too much or to little when it comes to making you welcome. The food is fantastic.Nice mix of menu and buffet evenings. Quality of food from Chef David is great. And if you want somethi... Read more

The Sugar Cane is not for everyone... If you want a hotel on the beach with daytime activities and evening entertainment, then go somewhere else. If you want a quiet, relaxed small hotel with fantastic staff and great food...this could well be the place for you. Barbados itself is amazing - lots to see and do for a small island, great food and very friendly people. As to the Sugar Cane, I would return in a heart beat. We wanted a relaxing break and are not beach people so booked an 11 night st... Read more

Visited mid May on our honeymoon. We chose this hotel as it was adults only and away from the main tourist area. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right place! It is so peaceful and the hotel staff are very attentive greeting us with Congratulation, bottel of bubbly and a glass of the infamous rum punch! We were lucky enough to have a suite right at the far end near the gully, so every morning were greeted by birds and monkeys! The rooms are more like apartments and very... Read more

I have just spent two weeks at this lovely hotel which is set in beautifully kept gardens. The spacious accommodation provided a lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and patio area, all of which were kept immaculate. The only downside to this hotel is that you really need a car to get around. There is a free transport service but this is very limiting. The staff are very warm and welcoming and I do not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

Our stay here was absolutely outstanding in everyway. First class service. Staff can't do enough for you. The cleanest hotel I've ever been too. Amazing food. Can't wait to go back in the future. The free shuttle bus covers just about everything to give you easy access to the island. The sister hotel down on the beech is also amazing and is free to all sugarcane guests. This was by far the best holiday we have ever had. Highly recommended for a very relaxing holiday.

We have just returned from 2 weeks of heaven spent at The Sugar Cane Club, As previously stated, it is set in large, well kept beautiful gardens. Everyone at the hotel from the cleaners & garden staff up to management deserve credit, as everyone is so friendly & helpful, a main reason why we met so many returning guests. The standard of food for an all inclusive was excellent & varied, & well split up between buffet, a la carte, with a barbecue once a week ( Weather permitting!!) A special thank... Read more

An excellent small and very friendly run hotel. All the staff couldn't do enough for you, including Peter the Manager, and a special mention to Tameshia, Neil, Kyle and Antonio, nothing was too much trouble. The food was more than excellent, our compliments to the chef David, especially his Caribean bread and butter pudding, oh WOW. The gym was the best we had seen in all the years holidaying in 4/5 star hotels, spa was also very very good, had some excellent treatments. If you travelled with Vi... Read more

My sister and I had booked reservations at the Spa, when we got there we were greeted by the ever lovely JoAnn,who promptly showed us to our changing rooms. We visited again in May (sorry for the delay in sending this review)! What can we say - everything, and I mean everything, was as amazing if not better then previously - if that is possible. The Management and staff are wonderful. The care shown to myself and my husband (who is in a wheelchair) was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble - we had a superb holiday and met lots of friends from previous visits which made it extra special. Our sincere thanks to all our friends, which is what ... Read more

Just returned after the 3rd visit, as ever the staff were welcoming and friendly. Upon entering our rooms we were gifted champagne and fruit for returning once again. The food was fantastic as always and the grounds well maintained. Most off the staff remembered us . After the gully walk we were given fresh coconut that they chopped down from the trees on site. The monkeys were in the trees every morning and night eating all the mangos on site. A must do is the hotels complimentary glass bottom... Read more
