"My boyfriend and I booked an 8 day stay over 2 months in advance. We specifically choose a type of room along with ocean view. When we arrived it took over an hour to get into our room, which ended up being the wrong room, we eventually got put into the right room about 2 hours later. Other than the first day being a bit rough, the rest of the stay was great. We did encounter the island attitude of everything being very chill and slow. This included service and waiting longer for restaurant service/food. We finally became patient by our third day and just went with it. The hotel itself is nice, rooms very clean and staff friendly. The restaurant choices are very limited and very pricey, but the food is cooked very well. We actually found that food in general was very expensive everywhere on the island and felt it was just far too pricey for us. They also include multiple taxes and service charges on everything that we didn't expect. The hotel was fully booked our entire stay, but you wouldn't have known it. The pool and beach area had plenty of room and chairs available. By the time 8pm rolled around you barely saw anyone around the hotel. Everything gets very quiet and we found no nightlife in Barbados. The outside bar at the pool area closes down early in the evening and we would recommend that they put some type of nightly party or theme night outside there. It would give guests the option to mingle and have a good time. Otherwise, there is not any nightlife at the hotel. So if you're looking for a chill, quiet place to vacation with limited options for food and nightlife, then this is your spot. All in all we had a great time and loved the island!"

We've stayed at dozens of Hiltons around the world, and even own Hilton timeshares and have nearly a million Hilton Honors points. But after staying at this Hilton we frankly felt ripped off. Yes, we realize Barbados is an expensive island, and being from NYC, we`re used to paying dearly for a high quality meal. But the food prices at this Hilton are ridiculously expensive, although the quality of the food is quite good. "
