This is the one of the best beaches on the island. Truly a great factor if you chose to stay here. The hotel is an average hotel nothing too exciting. It is clean and the service is good. Another thing is this hotel is in the perfect location for restaurants and bars. We only ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was average. My husband and I felt safe and it was easy to get around.

My husband and I chose this hotel to get married in 2013 because of the lovely scenery and the photographs were wonderful. I enjoyed going to the pool and the nearby beach. There is a restaurant right there so food isn't a problem.

I recently stayed at Divi with my family to celebrate my anniversary and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. Even though the hotel is well located, the plant is visibly old and in serious need of refurbishment. The tiles are chipped, curtains are dusty, grout is dirty and the furniture is old. I could go on. The pool was nice, the grounds are pretty and clean and my kids enjoyed the play area. It was also nice to have a full kitchen in the room. In addition, the staff was friendly and helpful. Ho... Read more

Hotel is located at the far end of St Lawrence Gap and so you are walking distance from a lot of the nightlife. It also about 10 mins drive to Oistins and perhaps 20 mins drive to Bridgetown so very well placed. The venue itself is pleasant enough. My room was larger than expected with a separate well-equipped kitchen/diner in addition to a large bedroom. TV in both room and lounge area. The staff here are very good indeed and a real credit to the establishment, especially those on reception. ... Read more

Our trip was outstanding. The staff was top notch, the grounds were well kept, the location and access to public transportation was... outstanding! We had our own private pool and beach with free beach recliners. We stayed last year at a resort that closed the pool and access to the beach at 6:00 pm... We had unlimited access to both at Divi SouthWinds.

Just a 3 star property. Did an upgrade from a 1 bedroom suite to a 2 bedroom suite. There was my 2 daughters and myself and the 2 bedroom was a must. Rooms are adequate and comfy. Only one restaurant is open. No pool bar. Hotel was empty. The on site mini mart was closing and had nothing to offer. The staff were polite and friendly. Shark's on St. Lawrence Gap was fantastic for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. The beach was beautiful and quiet. Would go back to Barbados anytime, not nece... Read more

I've always held a special place for Divi. Like any hotel you pay for what you get; with that being said I always feel safe, rooms are clean, and well maintained. Yes there are area of updating to do, but so are other resorts/hotels in the area. I luv Divi as it is quiet, and relaxing for me and mine. It's also on the bus line/zadars. All the locals on the beach were great and the new restaurant; saw an amazing show at the Sea Rock Dome "Flavour of Barbados"..great show and dinner!

This was our first stay in Barbados and what drew us to the hotel was the gym and having a decent sized swimming pool. The hotel was clean and well looked aft. Our room more than met our needs. The only issue was around housekeeping as service was slow i.e. some days staf didnot come in until early evening and were slow to replace dirty towels or replenish shampoos or coffee without chasing. Apart from this the receptionists and restaurant staff were excellent. The hotel does a 'Getting to meet ... Read more

The grounds are beautiful the room was not that great! But good enough given we booked it less than a week before arrival. The restaurants breakfasts was not good at all, food was bland and very American after the 1st day we knew better and ate at small cafes nearby. we never tried the dinner there either. Waitstaff was rude and wouldn't allow us to leave until they counted our money and made sure they we're satisfied with the tip. The beach and bar were awesome, awesome ,awesome and since my g... The location is excellent! The beach and pool were a few steps away from the suite I stayed in. Unfortunately the checkin process was the worst experience I have ever experienced. No one seemed to acknowledge my presence. Not a smile from the front desk. The room my group prepaid for was not available at check in and they made no suggestions to see if they could move us the following day. Only when I asked to speak to the GM, they then took interest and moved us the day after. The security and h... Read more

Our 2016 Barbados Youth trip was an experience...we went out on the streets and evangelized to the people of Barbados and walked up and down the streets praying for the country of Barbados... First of it has been a couple years since I stayed here . Now that I'm on trip advisor I can rate it. I found it to be clean, good location, nice beach and good entertainment in the pool area and having a kitchen in my room was great. You don't always want to eat out. I would stay again.

I have stayed at Divi South Winds many times over the past 10 years. I spent a week there end of March 2016. I must say that it was the worst that i have ever seen as far as the Front desk Staff. I was early for my Check in and I asked if I could put my luggage in the secure holding room and the Bell man said he would take care of it... The staff was wonderful. We got in late due to a delayed flight. They ensured we were comfortable from the moment we got to the hotel, till we checked out. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was the AC in the bedroom was slightly warm during the early morning hours. The activities desk provided us with the best personal tour guide ever, "Tony take win!!". A group of us stayed here for 5 nights during our trip to Barbados. The grounds were nice, and included a pool, tennis court, spa room, exercise room, and mini-golf. The hotel is not directly on the beach, but the beach was an easily accessible walk across a narrow road. The room: we had a king bed, and king pull out couch with a glass kitchen table and two chairs (the other room setup was the same, except it had an island and 4 or 5 bar chairs), the shower/toilet room and the sink area outside ... This was our first time at Divi and the room was great. The front gate security woman could use a class in greeting hotel guests and bellman was just as bad. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel is not on the beach but the beach was a short walk around the street. Some daily activities for adults and the kids. Cracks on the dirty wall, stones all over the place, leaks in the bathroom, smelly rooms, bugs etc. You will see the pictures. I asked for an immediate transfer! This was our first interaction with Barbados and it was very disappointing. Firstly, the person/s managing the Facebook page needs to be trained in customer service. Secondly, we booked this hotel months in advance, simple adjustments were required and false promises were made via email assuring that the adjustments would be possible. When an unnecessary/unexpected change in prices occurred (one that was contradictory to my reservation cost) and was inquired about with documented proof, immediat... Read more

I booked this resort because my friends were staying here, although I did look at other alternatives beforehand. I opted for Divi as it was more convenient we were all in the same place. I shared a room with another friend and the room layout effectively gave us 2 separate bedrooms because of the sofa bed in the living room and the bathroom is also separate, not en suite.
