This was our third visit to The Crane! We stayed in a standard Penthouse with Pool. Although the room was nice and comfy, we definitely missed the extra space you get in a deluxe room. The rooftop pool was awesome; it was our own private and serene space. The complimentary tea and coffee is great! The kitchen is stocked with basic wares should you be inclined to cook. The All-In-One Washer/Dryer Combo is fantastic, and came in handy. We were able to get a small bottle of detergent in the genera... Read more

Having had a few hours to kill in Barbados we were directed to this resort by the taxi rank captain at the airport. He suggested we had a day pass and be guests for the day. Well we were delighted when the hotel staff skipped the 23 dollar fee suggesting that as we were likely to have a meal that would more than cover the cost. So it transpired, we had a gorgeous lunch overlooking a crystal clear blue sea and spent the day in comfortable and pleasant surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble, c... Read more

Very friendly staff in all fields. Very clean rooms and mantained daily to high standard. Also has a small shop instead of eating out in the 4 good eating houses. Also has two shops of high quality Our fourth visit here and its so quite and restful. Go to the east coast hotels if you want all the noise and razzmatass

This resort was amazing. You could spend your entire vocation without leaving the premises and truly enjoy yourself from dining, bar, beach, pool, shopping you name it. The staff and workers were very courteous and lend to the pleasantries to be enjoyed.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Crane. The staff there is the gold standard of customer service. We felt cared for, valued, and genuinely welcome. The grounds are easy to navigate and the rooms are large, clean, and beautiful. Our bathroom was the size of my apartment at home and had a jetted tub, double sink, walk in shower with several spray nozzles, and a separate toilet. The king size, 4 poster bed was firm but comfortable. Both the living area and the bedroom opened up onto ... Read more

Beautiful fish ponds and grounds. From the out-shirks the place doesn't look too impressive but once on the grounds, the beauty will take your breathe away. Great for honeymoons and weddings, The beach is awesome to view but you need to be a good swimmer to swim there.

The Crane is absolutely amazing. I knew the moment I looked at the first picture of the resort advertising it on travel websites. Food, beach, service, everything was amazing!!!! definitely cool to visit their little village and see the history behind The Crane.

First off, if you are looking to explore Barbados, or enjoy a night-life - DONT BOOK HERE. BUT if you are looking for a complete getaway that is serene, full of beautiful sights, and quiet nights - then The Crane is what you are looking for. The Crane is full of absolutely amazing sights, and it is so quiet and peaceful. The beach is an absolutely wonderful place to be, but there are very strong waves and you have to be a good swimmer for this (I am not, so there were some challenges but it... Read more

The Crane Resorts offers an amazing experience. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Our accommodation was beyond expectation, exactly what we wanted, private and quiet. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was well equipped and the appliances worked great. The restaurants are a bit pricey and the menu choices are somewhat limited but you can purchase food and drinks from the General Store and prepare your own meals. If you are looking for a "quiet ... My sister and I chose to stay at yen Crane hotel for our trip to Barbados and it was the best decision we ever made! We loved the hotel and the staff were amazing.... I must say special thanks to Rochelle, Nyketa, Nia, Dwayne ,Lashawn and the lady who did my massage the morning I left (can't remember her name) , they all Played a huge part in making our experience unforgettable. We will be back very soon!

The Crane is a fairly large resort, so you've got to like the anonymity. For me it lacked the coziness of a smaller resort with a sence of hominess - at least after a few days. We had a great suite with our own pool. A great thing to have early morning and at night. The beach wasn't for me - too rough. But like I said - that's me talking. My husband and 14 yearold son loved it. Personally, I like being able to relax in the blue waters, which wasn't at all possible here. I only went in once the w... Read more

The hotel and complex itself is stunning. After reading few comments we went for the day pass option as we're staying in St James. Beware, the day pass was 100 bbd for four people but it excludes use of the pool and sunbeds, even on the beach. The cost is redeemable at a few outlets within the hotel, but you're effectively paying 25bbd each to walk through the hotel. I got the money back.

Arrived at Crane on Saturday the 5th of August along with 23 family members staying at the St lawrence gap apts. My wife's family is from barbados and she always wanted to stay at the Crane. We were coming to have her cousins baptism at the same church as her grandmother was in 1907,st matthews and to bring my mother in law home to have her remains scattered in the sea she loved. First the not so good; Got in around noon and room not ready which is not uncommon but we waited .This darling young... Read more

First time here and would absolutely return again in the future. Spent five nights in an ocean view suite which was as nice as any Four Season Resort for a fraction of the cost ( in the off season). Made use of the full kitchen which for two chefs was well stocked with knives and sauté pans. Also used washer/dryer in room as well. The grounds are lovely, the staff very friendly and helpful and the pool refreshing even in the heat of summer. The beach was full of seaweed and even though they wor... Read more

I'll start by saying that I rely heavily on reviews and although I travel quite a bit, I've never written a review. I booked this place based on the reviews I saw and feel that I owe it to people like me to shoot straight about this resort. This place has a lot of potential, but is pretty run down - paint chipping on buildings, rust signs on balconies of buildings (looked like they're in process of renovating), pool by cafe was murky, adult pool looked too dirty to get in - they're working on ... This was our first time visiting this resort, and first time traveling to Barbados with our four children. On arrival, we were greeted with rum punch and fruit juice which was nice considering how hot the weather was for us. The weather forecast said it would rain all week which we thought was due to the hurricane. It rained twice the whole week for all of 30 seconds. It was so hot that I was wishing it would rain a little, but it didn't. There were some days without a breeze. My advice i... Read more

After a very delayed flight and airline losing our luggage we arrive at The Crane and were greeted by Mel. What a great experience from the minute we walked into the Crane, he welcomed us into our upgraded room and our whole stay was amazing. Our room was absolutely beautiful, stunning views of the beach (building 8),very roomy 1 bedroom suite. Grounds were very well maintained. Everyone around us was very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. All the restaura... Read more

We come to The Crane every year and although that sounds boring, it's not.... We get off the flight and then immediately relax and all the stress of work soon fades away. The Crane is a special place and you have to come here to know what that really means but if you are thinking of coming, you've likely seen the website and all it does it get better in real life.
