Enjoyed the Crane for the first time for one week. Sweeping, majestic grounds. Lovely. Pools and reading spots abound. Varied, each unique. I enjoy a full 25m swim daily so I was a little disappointed that no full 25m pool exists although one is about 20m. An Ocean Resort of this stature should have a long pool. All hotel services were fine and you would have no reason to leave the place to hit the windy, windy (make that twisty and breezy) road to the more active and lively Bridgetown and Roc... Read more

We just came back from one of the most AMAZING family vacations. The Crane has changed over 10 years - my husband and I were here in 2007 and came back with our four year old daughter. The beach is the most beautiful we have seen and we travel to many of the islands. The elevator is a nice touch wasn't there 10 years ago. Pools are great too - perfect for kids and adults. We never had a problem getting the best seat at the beach and any of the pools. Service was great too - especially from "Fres... Read more

January was a perfect time to visit. Delightful temperatures, mild breeze, sunny days, what could be better. Our two bedroom suite overlooked the Atlantic, seemed like we were on an ocean cruise. Never needed air conditioning, the breeze off the Atlantic meant that we could sleep with the windows open. Best sleep I have had in a yvear. There are eight excellent restaurants on or just off campus, don't need to go anywhere. The rooms are equipped with a full kitchen and there is a general store ri... Read more

What a magical stay we had this Jan 2017: the management, staff and the whole team are so professional, warm and friendly. Our room was was fabulous with our own plunge pool and Jacuzzi...all mod cons if needed in the kitchen. All the bars and restaurants offer a wide range of delicious foods and drinks at 'value for money' prices in this 5 star resort. Live music entertainment in bar 1887 3 times per week which is of the highest standard: so much fun! We loved our stay so much that we are back ... Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Crane in December for a few nights. We had an excellent deal on the room through a workplace discount program. However, the room we were given was adjoined through a connecting door to another room (room number followed by "B" to indicate adjoining, I guess). Door of course was locked, but there was a gap under the door allowing sound through and the soundproofing in general was not great. To be fair, we did not complain and ask for a room change, which we could ha... Read more

The Crane is a special gem on this beautiful Island of Barbados. What is even more special about this place is the people working at the resort. All aspects of the resort are top notch and the staff seem to want to do nothing else but meet your needs. The grounds and condos are beautifully decorated, public areas kept emaculate, and housekeeping beyond meticulous in their work. Amenities allow you to not leave the resort if you choose, but the resort will arrange drivers, at a reasonable price, ... Read more

My husband and I are currently on the plane returning home from Barbados to NYC and I decided to write this review about the crane resort before I even made it home. We are alittle bit of resort snobs as we like to travel to nice resorts . This is our second trip to the crane . I can only say wonderful things about this resort as this is our second visit so clearly we had a great time . First let me begin by saying that if you are looking for a commercial resort like sandals then this is not th... Read more

You need to book in advance as it is VERY popular despite there being 2 sittings, 9am & the other at 10am. We chose the 9am. sitting as it is in the front of the L'Azure Restaurant with magnificent views of Crane Beach. There is a variety of cold and cooked food for breakfast including, fruit juices, cereals, fruit selection, muffins, Danish pastries and of course hot breakfast items including some bagan delicacies. The Gospel Singers added greatly to the atmosphere. The staff were VERY friendl... Read more

This place is nothing short of amazing. The people are so friendly and helpful. The accommodations and grounds are immaculate. The water is rough to swim in but fun if you are very careful. Take the locals word when they say its too rough to swim. The pools have recently received a face-lift and are gorgeous. We have been here numerous times and will return again for many years to come.
