We were there mid April and the weather was glorious! The white sand beach is great for walking and taking a dip into the turquoise waters. The staff was friendly and accommodatiing. The hotel is located conveniently, with short rides to Bridgetown in one direction and the major airport in opposite direction. You can eat at the restaurants on the premises, which serve very tasty food or catch a cab to some local nearby establishments. We chose an effiency unit on the second floor with a fabulou... We were at Bougainvillea the second week of June. It is a beautiful resort, has a friendly staff, has great pools, has spectacular views of the ocean and is close to other activities on the island. I would recommend this to everyone. It is a quiet resort that is safe and friendly. A lot to do and such a beautiful setting!

We were unfortunate at the time that our flight had difficulties so we were asked to stay an extra night in Barbados Not knowing where we were going to be taken we ended up at this lovely Hotel. What a gem of a place .Everything was spot on and cannot fault a thing. We were envious of people staying there when we left the next day. The bathroom was sheer luxury,The deco in the room amazing The food out on the terrace was well presented and top draw with a wide variety on the menu. We can thorough... Read more

My wife and I stayed and had never been here nor Barbados. Loved both. I like waves and there were waves here. And the room was large and all of the staff very efficient and friendly. The pools were lovely with small waterfalls. The flowers were gorgeous and the maintenance of the place top notch.

We have just returned from a week at the Bourgainvillia and really enjoyed it. This was our 3rd time in Barbados but we had always stayed on the west coast and thought we would try a different experience. We were on the 5th floor which made we work my legs but loved the positioning and view we had of the pool and sea. The location is great whether you want to go to oistins, st Lawrence gap and Hastings. The rooms and bathroom are not the most up to date but have absolutely no complaints as it wa... Read more

Yes the Wifi is spotty. Yes the water pressure is low and restricted. Yes the food and drinks are pricey. BUT it's on an island! Staff is GREAT!! Always a pleasant salutation. Beach and pools are GREAT! Room was spacious & CLEAN. AC was quiet & cold. Wife went to the swim up bar while I snorkeled right off the beach. Easy entry. Saw as much in my own backyard as I did after driving to the Folkstown Marine Reserve. Maybe more. Kitchenette was very handy. Full size fridge & microwave & 4 burner s... Read more

Lovey string and people, good overpriced and genuinely poor, from microwave pizza on... Problem is they don't seem to make an effort, average (bad) soup and some rice and chicken, everyone will be happy, no not at $B 70 per head, we expect more than that, frankly very poor!

Another wonderful holiday at the stunning Bougainvillea Beach Resort, Barbados. This time we visited for I think it is the 7th time the seaweed problem from last year was not a problem. The room we had allocated to us was a lovely room but had a beautiful view of a palm tree and when we asked Lekeesha on Reception to move room to have a sea room it was not a problem. Also Roxanne and Sonia, love you ladies. Another mention to Dawn who arranged for us to have a meal from the waters edge restaura... Read more

The Bougainvillea is a lovely resort on a very nice beach. The beach just down from the Sandals resort. The water has a lot of waves but it's very shallow to enter the water so it's not difficult to get in and out of the ocean. The service at the resort is very good, except for the waitress' at breakfast, they are very slow and forget most of your order but it's not that big of a deal. I would recommend going to Maxwell beach and check out the tiki bar which is just a few minutes bus ride. We al... Read more

When we first began coming to the southern Caribbean almost 10 years ago, we stayed at the Bougainvillea a few times and absolutely loved it... this time, not so much... the room is still a good deal for the money in the summer when the rates are low, we liked the bed and bedding, including a very comfortable pillow, the cleanliness of the room (it's impeccable!), and the air conditioning worked really well... the internet connection was really slow, so slow that most sites didn't load or simply... Everything about this resort was top notch. This was my first visit to Barbados and the Bougainvillea Resort ( kind of off season) and I found the staff very pleasant (primarily businesslike) except the swim up bar staff. Most of them seemed annoyed which was distracting but didn't affect my overall opinion about this resort. I would definitely go back. I would encourage you to check out the fine dining the island offers. We went to the Cafe Luna which was a rooftop restaurant with an excellen... Read more

If you're looking for a resort to stay at where the staff are exceedingly helpful, the surrounding area is quiet and you have easy access to travel around the island, this is the place for you! From the moment of arrival, we were catered to and given lots of helpful tips. The resort itself was very well kept, clean and had all items we could imagine needing in our room (superior studio). It has easy access to a bus stop to get into other areas, otherwise there is a taxi service that is cheap and... Read more

What an amazing resort. The staff and locals were welcoming and helpful. The food was too good, sit on the beach and order from the pool bar or simply head across to the restaurant, just bliss!! Just a stone throw away from the beach, walk a couple of yards and your there.

Been to Barbados on a few occasions but I actually could have stayed forever here !!! I treated my friend to this holiday with my son who has Autisim and on arrival were made to feel so welcome by Mark (manager) & Sue at Reception ..got upgraded which was a bonus to a lovely apartment on the east side which was quieter and suited my boy ...
