"We went here for two reasons. It includes a hot breakfast and free use of the Atlantis. Food at the Atlantis is very pricey so the breakfast was welcome. We were at the Atlantis all day ,every day and it is just across the street from Comfort Suites. Our first room was not acceptable. ( sliding door wouldn't lock and basement floor with only a service elevator to get there. We were given another room as soon as we asked. We would go here again."

"I would certainly go back to this hotel, however there were many fees that we were not aware of when booking the hotel and checking in. When we checked in we were told there was an 'energy fee' of $15.95 per day. Thought this was for both of us but that was per person per day. Misunderstood that when checking in.Then there was an additional $10.00 'housekeeping' charge per day. All of these charges were outlined in our bill before checking out. For a 5 night stay we paid an ADDITIONAL $209.50 in fees!!!
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Very clean facility. Convenient to Atlantis. We will definitely come back but I want to be aware of any fees prior to booking so they are paid and out of the way once on vacation."

"We loved Comfort Suites. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Proximity to Atlantis and Marina Village were great. Only complaint would be the shower.....hardly any pressure and would run very cold and then very hot! We did not say anything as we were already unpacked and did not wish to move rooms.
The breakfast was excellent. Restaurants in the area were very reasonable prices.....not nearly as expensive as the Atlantis.
Are planning to return."

"We are basically budget travellers, so the Comfort Suites us a little relief from the costs at Atlantis. The proximity to Atlantis, entry into the waterpark, and free breakfast were the positives. We only had hot water one of the five days of our stay. Though the breakfast was good, the set-up was totally inadequate, not enough space to get the food or to sit or move. We had to eat standing up on two of five days. All of the staff were exceptionally friendily and helpful."

Be sure you get your wrist bracelets inside the hotel. You cannot get them at the outdoor towel hut. Restaurants are pricey but the food is good."

"We loved Paradise Island and the Comfort Suites was very convenient and very restful. The grounds are well kept and the breakfast is a big PLUS. It's so nice to be able to have breakfast and not have to go looking for a restaurant early in the morning. Our only complaint is the odor in the rooms.....I'm not sure if it's mold or new carpeting . We were not able to open the windows as they are tightly screwed and as a result the air stayed damp and smelly the entire time. We kept the fan and air conditioner on but even that didn't help. The staff offered us another room on a higher floor but it was the same. I wonder if they changed the filters in the air conditioners or unlocked the windows and let the sun dry out the rooms, it might help."

"Nicer than expected, way better deal than staying right in Atlantise. Very clean, modern, well kept hotel. Staff are very helpfull, pleasant and polite. Continental breakfast included hot eggs, sausages, or bacon so there's one meal a day you don't have to pay for. Facility is right across the street from resort property - not around a lake as some maps show. There was a problem with the water in the bath/shower - no pressure, just dribbled into the tub, and hot/cold flashs using shower. We chose to ignore that as we didn't want them moving us to another room. Be aware of extra fees ($280 for 7 nite stay) upon check-in. Also their phone system was poor (check for hotel charges before using it for any calling)
Wi-Fi reception seemed poor, but that may have been my tablet. We'd go right back here for any future visits, no doubt about that!!"

"Hotel is outdated and run down, moldy smell in hallways and rooms. Although some of the rooms have been updated and are nice so make sure you ask for a renovated room. We had to change rooms 3 times, due to issues. Coffee table broke and fell on foot, fridge leaking water, room on a busy intersection, room not clean, room moldy. We FINALLY got a functioning room without mold after 2 hours and hauling luggage back and forth. There is only one elevator in the building so if you are bringing a stoller or lugging around allot of items beware of steps and no easy access to elevator.
Yes, close to casino at Atlanis which was nice, close to Marina Village to walk around and close to a couple shops next door. However, you have to walk a mile every day just to pick up a wristband for Atlantis, then go to the pools or beaches. Wish you could get one at all the wristband stations, there is one close to Comfort Suites but only for Atlantis guests. If you just want to spend a hour or 2 at the pool or beach it takes an hour just to get the wrist band then walk around Atlantis to find your way.
No balconys, bad service and no food after lunch at CS. Everything is expensive on Paradise Island and is not worth it. I have been to many other resorts in Carribean and Mexico and Bahamas. Would not return just for the fact of the poor service and food for the prices. Even a $200 dinner at Sunfire Steakhouse was not good. Had to send back food etc...
Pool is located on busy intersection and overlooks a parking garage for employees for Atlantis. Overall just not relaxing place to stay.
My husband and I were traveling for a short 4 day trip. Just was not up to par compared to other resorts or hotels. Would not recommend this location or Atlantis."

"Stayed there during Christmas break for 4 nights. Access to Atlantis was great. We had packed food from home (worth paying for the check-in luggage). It's a decent hotel (probably cleaner than the Atlantis Beach Tower!) but the room was small for a family of 4. Our room was in the main corridor and near the pool. It was closer to the exit towards Atlantis and not too far from Pool side breakfast area. It is true that this hallway has constant traffic and the the music from the poolside is loud. The noise or the crowd didn't bother us much though. Our bathroom smelled a little bit and I had them change the shower curtain which fixed it. I had requested a microwave and they provided one. On the last day, our flight was at 5.20pm. We checked out at the normal time. We were able to store our luggage in the storage. We were able to access Atlantis water park on the day we checked out too. We were allowed to use the hospitality room when we got back from Atlantis. We were allowed to use the Breakfast area (microwave and chairs and tables).
I was not happy with the Energy Surcharge and housekeeping surcharge. It was not a small fee. I ended up paying about $250.00 for 4 night stay.
Breakfast area is very crowded. 3 of the 4 days that we stayed something or the other used to be missing (There were no Bagel or Muffins). We would be waiting for scrambled eggs for 20 minutes. Good breakfast though."

"Second trip to Bahamas. Excellent, a great servive and deal. The Comfort Suites is a nice place to stay. You pay the extra cleaning and energy fees(160) for 4 night/5days 2 people - but maid service excellent as room was nice, clean and comfortable. Had a room opening to the pool which provided easy access to Atlantis and everything. Pool was very clean as the grounds too. Breakfast nice just a little tight when crowded but they kept up w/ the food. Taxi driver to and from airport great as he told a lot about the island/culture -- Take the taxi for 35 worth every minute and he took us to beer store. Atlantis waterpark was so much fun but when the 4 boats came in on Thursday very crowded. Able to use all the facilities but a little hard to get around because so big and can get lost at times but the staff was helpful. Had to go get wristbands everyday and feel you should be able to go one time for the band for your whole stay which would be so much easier. Will go again and stay at the Comfort Inn Suites."

"The hotel was close enough to the action and was relatively clean. My bookit.com reservation apparently didn't include the entire price for this hotel. Beware of the price bookit quotes. When I arrived to check in my arm was twisted behind my back for additional fees. Electricity usage and cleaning fees for my 5 night stay was an additional 189.00 on top of my already paid for 5 night rate. You think you're saving but then the additional fees make the rate higher. if I ever go back to the Bahamas I would stay here again. Notice that I said 'IF', because I will never go back to Bahamas,. EVERYTHING IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE ON PARADISE ISLAND.
A 12 ounce can of soda is 3.50, a 12 ounce can of beer is 6.50 ,a case of drinking water like walmart sells for 3.96 is 30.00, a 10 ounce bag of chips at atlantis is 10.00. Food is super high too,. 4 slices of pizza and 3 sodas was 42.00, then they automatically add 15 % gratuity.
If you do go there you must find the liquor store and buy beer for 2.50 per bottle, and diet coke for 1.00 per can. Pack your food snacks into your suitcase and bring them from home."

"Just returned from a wonderful week at the Comfort Suites. Breakfast buffet was fine every morning, my kids loved the pool, and the access to Atlantis was awesome. We had no problem whatsoever getting a taxi to/from the hotel, zoo, etc. We bought lots of drinks and snacks at the small grocery in town to save money. My only complaints were the slightly moldy smelling hallway (although they were fixing up the rooms across the hall during our stay) and the extra fee for energy and housekeeping (it was not a surprise, at least). Other than that, it was just perfect for our family. We'll definitely go back. One bit of advice for travellers like us with young kids - pick a room upstairs away from the pool (loud music at night) and away from the main corridor (in the 200's) that gives access to Atlantis. That hallway has constant traffic."

"We just returned from our trip. The Comfort Suites was recommended to us by a couple we met last year when we travelled to the Bahamas. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The locals trying to get you to purchase a timeshare were very annoying and bothersome. I did not like the fact that they charge a $ 5.00 per person per room housekeeping gratuity. I thought that was very excessive. So we opted to make sure our linens were changed every single day of our stay. The great thing about staying here is the full unlimited access to the Atlantis Aquaventure every day. The free breakfast was good. It hit the spot. All meals include an automatic 15% gratuity. Which is rediculous. Some of the service we got eating at the different restaurants was kind of slow. Make sure you bring plenty of money because food is very expensive. Eventhough the hotel has a strong smell to it we got use to it. We were not in our rooms long enough to do anything but sleep. Overall for the price we paid and the services we received it was well worth it. I would definately stay here again."

"This is the 3rd time in the past year we've stayed at the Comfort Suites and once again, every thing was very nice. The staff at the front desk are courteous, helpful with any ? you have, etc. There should be no complaints about the free breakfast...eggs, sausage, corn beef hash, waffles, muffins, assorted breads, cereals, fruit, bagels. You can have something different to eat each morning which saves tremendous amount of $$ normally being spent on breakfast. The pool water was walk-in temperature, Carusoe's Buffalo Wings are great too! Will continue to recommend Comfort Suites to anyone wishing to travel to the Bahamas and have full and free use of all the amenities Atlantis has to offer :)"

Considering all my previous vacation, I have always booked hotel and air package. I never had TO PAY $663.25 EXTRA FOR MANDATORY HOUSEKEEPING AND ENERGY SURCHARGE.
WHAT THE HECK WAS I PAYING FOR WHEN I PAID FOR MY PACKAGE.
DID I NOT PAY FOR THE USE OF THE HOTEL ALREADY OR WAS THIS ANOTHER WAY TO RIP PEOPLE OFF????

"We stayed at the Comfort Suites to save money by not staying at Atlantis. We were hit with a $150 charge at the beginning of our trip for housekeeping and energy fees. We also found some of the staff to be less than helpful regarding issues we had when we tried to use our pink card to charge purchases to the room. The room was comfortable and all we needed for our stay. The breakfast buffet is fine but we found no matter what time we went not enough food was out and we were stuck just eating toast every morning. It would be nice if the Comfort Suites had an airport shuttle as getting a cab was a bit difficult at times."

"Atlantis is a beautiful place and we had a wonderful time, however, next time I will simply stay somewhere else. This hotel charges you 19.95 per person PER NIGHT for an energy surcharge and a housekeeping fee, you may as well have spent the extra staying at a better place. If they want to charge the higher amount, they should just charge it with the room price instead of pretending to cost less. We had booked three rooms with a total of ten people for (4) days, so that extra charge was about $800 upon check in. It is in the hotel fine print so it should not be a surprise. Just be prepared you must pay that to check in, in addition to your room charges. Also, in order to use the safe it is an extra $2.00 and local calls are not free. The handle to the hotel room door was falling off and the hotel in general needs updating. There were worrms in all the toilets of our three rooms. We complained and were told it was seasonal for these worms to be there, but our toilets were cleaned with a blue cleaner afterwards which limited our visibility of the living worms in the toilet. The breakfast, pool/bar area, lobby, and computer areas were fine. Taxis were easy to obtain. It is $32 for two people, $3 for each additional, from the hotel to the Airport. It is $11 for two people and $3 for each additional to go downtown to the Straw Market. There are vending machines accepting American money with soft drinks and snacks, as well as an ice machine. In addition, the hotel offers spa services such as massages and facials, as well as free Wi Fi. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island. It was a welcome change to cruising! The access to the Atlantis was the key to a great experience! The July 4th fireworks over the lagoon were awesome! The $17.95 per person per night charge for housekeeping and energy surcharge at check-in, however, seems ridiculous! I would have rather it been added to the original bill. The staff was very friendly and always willing to answer any questions or bring us extra linens. Our family would love to go to Paradise Island and stay at the Comfot Suites again!"

"This place was great! We came for our honeymoon and definitely enjoyed our stay! We weren't there much during the day except for breakfast and to clean up for dinner. The free access to Atlantis is a great deal! We spent most of our time there and loved it. Since we are a young couple, we enjoyed the waterpark and beaches.
The only complaints we have about the hotel is the beds are hard as a rock! Both of our backs were pretty sore by the end of the week. And we got placed on the 1st floor, which is on the bottom with sliding glass doors. Therefore, centipedes were always getting into our room so we had to keep everything up off of the floor. The plus to being on the bottom floor is you are right next to breakfast and the door that goes outside is right down the hall. You also get charged every day for housekeeping ($10/day) and for electricity ($27.90/day). I thought all of that should have been included in what you pay for the room but it's not. They just inform you of that when you check in! So there was about $265 we had to pay right off the bat, not including what we had to pay for the room for the week.
The pros are that the housekeeping you are forced to pay for is actually very good! They did an excellent job! The breakfast isn't bad either. You get eggs (real, scrambled eggs, not the powdered stuff), sausage, toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, yogurt, and various other little things. They also have cable with a good variety of channels. They air conditioning in the room worked great if you are like us and like it to be 65 degrees at night!
Overall, this place is totally worth it! You get all of the amenities of Atlantis without paying the price!

"The only thing I was not happy with was the unexpected charges. Upon arrival I was charged an extra $151 for electricity and house keeping. Two days later the front desk called me and said I was being charged an extra $75 for more electricity and house keeping because my son was 14. The pool there was very cloudy to. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The Atlantis passes made it all worth it."

"First, just note, you will need to take a taxi to anywhere you plan to go while in the Bahamas. If you're lucky you can find one that charges $4/person/way. Our stay at the Comfort Suites was great! The rooms and pool were nice and clean, the staff were so welcoming from check in through check out. Everyone is friendly at this hotel. The free breakfast is not the best, but you can't complain too much since it's free and that's one less expense you will have daily. They also have free wifi if you bring a laptop or smart phone with you, and the hotel has a computer for guests to use as well, free of charge. They have an area set where you can book adventures daily, make sure you check it out first thing because some activities are only offered on certain days. What's really great is that being a guest of Comfort Suites, you get full free access to Atlantis and all it has to offer. Waterslides, game room, aquarium and they even have a movie theater with FREE movies. The theater was a big hit for my family and I as we love watching movies. They have other game rooms and even kids clubs, there is so much free stuff included, it's totally worth it!! Atlantis has food huts near the pools and you can pay about $10 for a burger, fries and a soft drink(free refills all day). Atlantis also has a pizzeria on the Marina side where you can get a medium size pizza for $23 which will feed 2-3 persons, there is also a Johnny Rockets at the end of the Marina area. I wouldn't suggest eating at any other restaraunts in/around Atlantis as they are way over priced. The Fish Fry has decent prices as well which you will need to take a taxi to get there. We found a restaraunt called Montagu Gardens which has prices as low as $10 for a meal during dinner time and lunch is a lot cheaper and this place is GREAT. They serve you large portions that include bread and salad and it's definitely worth the money! You can take a taxi from your hotel and the restaraunt will pay the taxi when you arrive, after your meal the restaraunt will even shuttle you back for free!! Totally worth it! Another thing to keep in mind, every thing you buy from food, drinks, etc will have a 15% gratuity charge. I hope this review helps you out a bit."

"Overall the Comfort Suites was very clean and the staff were friendly. I would caution visitors on the continential breakfast that is offered by the hotel. The pictures on the website is not what was served during our stay. The eggs are synthetic and there was only apples provided as a fruit. It does save you money so you do not have to buy an expensive breakfast but it is less than filling. Our first night our room floor flooded with an ac leak. Our suitcases and and the floor was covered in a greasy liquid for 1/3 of the room. Guest services relocated us to a different room that was nicer but we had to check out and store our luggage with the front desk until 3pm in which time we could check in again. They were nice about the ordeal but less than accomidating due to the situation. Visitors should also be aware that there is a $10/day housekeeping service charge and an energy efficiency service charge which equals to about $150 for four days that will not be included in your charges until you check in. We were not expecting this and this should be noted somewhere on their website. Atlantis is beautiful and an enjoyable family vacation. Be ready to walk a long distance to the check in counter at the DIG for your daily wristbands for entrance to the Atlantis waterpark. One more note about Atlantis, not all employees are helpful, we were sent on a wild goose chase to find the check in counter by several employees, when I asked to use a phone to change our dinner reservations the employee lied and said her phone was broken, 2 minutes later she was making and taking calls. We also asked for assistance to move an umbrella and were told they could not do that because the umbrellas break when you move them. My husband was able to move the umbrella with no problem once we found out they have wheels. Overall, I would recommend the Comfort Suites as an alternative in economic lodging. Everything else is so expensive so it is nice to know you are able to save on your room to pay for your food :)"

"I was very happy with Comfort Suites. The room was better than I had imagined; it had a separate living room space with a couch (pull-out sofa). The room was very clean. It had a refrigerator, which was great! The only thing that I wish that it had was a microwave. The maid missed giving us towels a few days, but it was very easy to get some - just ask. We were very, very close to Atlantis and didn't mind the short (safe) walk. It was nice to be away from the crowds. Breakfast was good, but the same every day."

"Absolutely loved it - traveled with 2 teenage children who wanted to sleep in a little and enjoy Atlantis. The basic breakfast served 'till 10 AM helped a lot, yes, little fruit would be nice:), we had snacks during the day and affordable dinner was available in restaurants walking distance away. I have not traveled to Bahamas for a while due to the lack of service and/or slowness of it in he past, so I am happy to report huge improvement - folks were friendly, service very nice, tips still included in the bill.nRoom was nice, anything we needed was provided within a reasonable time.nAtlantis is as advertised - great place to go, gets little crowded, if a line forms, well, they have not caught up with that yet. :)nOverall, I hope we'll be Lucky enough to come back! "They had us arriving a day earlier. Not sure which end had the issue, however, they just upgraded us to a suite. It was very nice. I have stayed here before and the extra space in the suite compared to the standard room was very nice. The only complaint was the lack hot water. We landed up taking cold showers all four days. We called the front desk the first three days but gave up after that and just dealt with it. Atlantis was beautiful and the resort is an inexpensive alternative. However, there is a 'hidden' fee. Once you check in the hotel charges a 'resort fee', also referred to as the 'energy tax', per person, per day. For four night with two people the fee totaled just over $157. I also recommend stopping on Nassua, before you reach Paradise Island, for groceries. $1 water on Nassua costs $6 on Paradise Island."

"We just returned from the Comfort Suites Paradise Island. We were offered a nice room on the fourth floor (room #480 )in the newer, quieter wing. This building has an elevator and the rooms are newer ,but further from the Atlantis . If you want a newer , quieter room with elevator access, choose the east wing if you can. We were originally offered room 255 in the west wing on the main floor to the Atlantis .We waited for this room and since it was well after 3 pm check in, and we were very tired, we chose room #480. It was a nice room and had two double beds and a pull out couch. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable ,so my kids took turns sleeping on the couch with it closed. It was pretty comfortable that way. The room was very clean and big. Had a nice sized refrigerator, bathroom was large also. Had problems with the maid only leaving two towels each day. She finally got it right on the last day. The hotel is very close to the Atlantis and all it has to offer. The waterpark is amazing as is the whole property. We chose to go to the vacation club presentation at the Comfort Suites one day as it was raining anyway and got $100 four tee shirts and a beach bag for our time .No high pressure sales at all. If you have time or a rainy day , and want to get a quick $100 credit for the Atlantis or your room, go to the vacation club presentation. We knew before we left we would not be talked into this , but it was interesting just the same. Before we checked in, we ate at the bar at the hotel and had conch fritters and chicken nachos. The conch fritters were really the best we had anywere on the island, the chicken nachos were awful. We had drinks at the bar and they were really good too. The breakfast each morning was the same , plain yogurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, mini muffins, one type of fruit, either apples, oranges, or pears, three cereals, corn flakes, raisin bran, and frosted flakes, oatmeal, frozen waffles, juice, tea, coffee. Enough to keep you held over until lunch. The front desk was nice and responsive to our needs. We really enjoyed our trip."

"If you want to experience Atlantis, and your on a tight budget...Comfort Suites is the way to go. About a 10 minute walk over to the waterpark. If they had full kitchens in their rooms, we would go back...as the food down there was ridiculously expensive, so be warned. Definately stop at a grocery store in Nassau before checking in for snacks and bottled water..., we used 'Jermaine's Taxi', and he was the best. He did not try to price gouge us...look him up before you go, he has a website up and is very honest. My husband left his iPhone in his taxi by mistake, he brought it back to us the next morning, and did not expect a reward in return, but we did look after him! No complaints with our stay other than how crazy expensive the incidentals were...and if you are taking your children along, know that childcare over at Atlantis is currently $60 per child per hour. *ouch* Bimini Road restaurant over in the Marina Village was our fav eatery. We had a good time, but now that we've done this trip, we will probably not do it again....for economical reasons, however, if our pockets were bottomless, we would definately go back."

"Our family of 4 stayed in one room which was roomy enough with the 2 double beds and a pull out sofa bed. Our room rate did not include an $18 per person, per day additional charge for housekeeping gratuity and 'energy surcharge' , a hefty addition to what was an inexpensive room rate. The staff is very friendly, always volunteering a cheerful hello. The housekeeping service was spotty, we had to call to request clean bath and wash towels on more than one occasion. The full breakfasts were filling and enabled us to go about our day without having to worry about lunch. All in all, a good deal for the money."

"Great location. The free wi-fi and daily continental breakfasts made up for the noticeable mild mildew odor on our floor and in our room (the other floors smelled fine). Rooms are clean and satisfactory for the price and location. Overall, definitely better than paying 30% more to stay at the lower end towers."

"ok so this was a great value for your money. It is like 200 alone to get into waterpark for a day so staying here with full access was nice. However, you will pay extra for everything else. A bottle of water is like $10.00, the gift shops are ridiculous and the potter place, the arcade, the clubs, the speedway, everything else, outrageous. The hotel for the most part, very clean and the staff was very helpful. The one thing that I thought was a little over the top was that they charged you .50 for a local call, but other than that, great. Atlantis, however, ridiculous, the prices were unbelievably outrageous. I had heard food was expensive, but I never expected the prices they were. IT was Worse than eating in Disney for food that was not even good. We usually go out to eat and feed our family for like 40.00, none of our meals, no matter where we ate was under $100. So be ready to pony up some dough."

"We were all soo excited about this trip. I read reviews for months and knew I had found the right hotel for the money. Going to make this as short as possible. Upon arrival...we looked at this hotel and thought...wow, nice!..I asked the not so friendly staff lady (of which I had already asked previously with a phone call to the hotel prior to arrival) that I needed a room close to the Atlantis walk-way because of my injured ankle. She must have been already frustrated from all the Spring Break arrivals, but she was not happy with my request. I read so many reviews saying...staff is ready to assist,,,more than happy to help..etc...so I was very surprised at her attitude. She said she would give me a room close. It was not close at all ....We were all just in vacation mode so I just ignored it...! Third day....the air conditioner in our room broke and there was water...EVERYWHERE. All my girls clothes were soaked in the morning..and the same day the toilet over flowed. I never got an ' Im sorry'...nothing from the staff. Their clothes were still wet 4 days later when we were leaving!!! We paid 500.00 for an energy surcharge and ended up hanging clothes every where to dry. I wrote out a card to the management requesting a phone call and never got one from them. I travel a lot and spoke so highly of this hotel and all it's reviews and never expected this. I believe they were making so much money spring break that we really didn't matter. I do know that the bartenders at the bar where very friendly to us. They def. should be working the front desk!!!!"

"We were nickeled and dimed as soon as we got there. Energy charge plus cleaning gratuity and $2 a nite for a safe charge. Please...charge us $25.00 extra and let that be that. What bothered us the most is that we upgraded our room and paid for double beds but were given a king. When I asked to move the staff said they would try to accomodate us but we would need to have our bags packed by 8 the next day and wouldn't have access to another room until 3:00 check in. Really???? we paid for the day, didn't get the room we paid for and now didn't have access to any room. We wound up staying in the king and I am getting in touch w/bookit and comfort suites to refund the money we paid for the room we didn't get. All together not a wonderful place. Atlantis is pretty cool but you really have to walk far to get to a beach - probably 1/4 mile from the hotel room we were in to the beach at the Atlantis."

"We stayed on the third floor in room 325, which was very close to the stairwell that lead to the outside breakfast area and pool. Our room had a king size bed. Other amenities included a mini-fridge (free) and a safe (for a fee), so we did not use that. The room was sparkling clean. My adult daughter and I were impressed to see that the rooms were completely cleaned each day- floors mopped with disinfectant, sinks and tubs scrubbed- not just touched up. There is a $5.00 per person per day fee for housekeeping gratuities and a $12.95 per person per day fee for 'energy charges'- we knew about this in advance, but the additional $280 for the week still hurt. Wi-fi at this hotel is free and there is a business center with two computers right off of the main lobby. They were almost constantly being used, so it wouldn't hurt to bring a netbook or laptop. The pool area is very nice, with a gazebo that contains a bar at one end. The drinks at the bar are somewhat pricey- $8.50- but not that far off of everywhere else on the island. We sat outside one evening when they had a band playing. The music was good and the ambiance very nice. There is quite a bit of foliage and many flowering bushes and trees around the pool. Our room was on the side of the building close to the entrance to the resort and the Marina Village, so it was literally a 10 minute max walk to the Atlantic Movie Theatre, the Casino and the Aquaventure Water Park. Across the street a different direction, there is a little mall called Paradise Village. In it is a nice little restaurant called Anthony's- (get the white pizza, yum)- and there is also a duty-free liquor store and a general grocery store there. For some reason, Diet Coke at a reasonable price is very difficult to find anywhere on the Island. A 2 liter bottle at the grocery store was $3.95, and a can was $1.00. We ended up going to the general grocery store in Nassau, buying a case of cans (24) for $13.00 and hauling them back to our hotel room on the ferry. Speaking of the ferry... The bridges to Nassau look fierce, but are only a 10 minutes brisk walk across, and a 15 minute walk from there to the downtown action. The ferry is located at the base of the bridge closest to the Marina Village and costs $4.00 each way. The signs say that they leave every half-hour, but we found this not to be true at all. A guy stands on the street yelling that 'the ferry is leaving, hurry!' and we literally RAN two blocks only to wait for 25 more minutes. This happened several times, to the point that we mostly just walked the bridge because it was faster in the long run. The breakfast each morning included scrambled eggs, a meat of some kind (bacon, sausage links), three different kinds of cold cereal, dried oatmeal, skim and whole milk, yogurt, whole fruit (oranges, bananas and apples), juices (grapefruit, apple and orange) and an assortment of pastries, bagels and breads. The food area is set up somewhat inefficiently, which led to crowding at times in front of the warming trays, toaster and refrigerator. The items were replenished quite quickly as they were consumed, so there never was much of a wait. There is an option of eating outside in the pool area or inside. The only drawback to being outside was gusty winds for a couple of the days we were there. General impressions: The Atlantis access is a big draw and for a family, much less expensive than staying at Atlantis proper. The continental breakfast is substantial and way cheaper than eating anywhere at the resort. The Bahamian people are incredibly friendly, very well groomed and seemed to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Be prepared, however, for a very 'hands-on' environment while shopping. The Straw Market was a constant refrain of vendors asking how they could help/ what we wanted/ etc. and it became really old and annoying quite fast. We rented a scooter on our last day there from a vendor outside the cruise ship docking area. Negotiate with the vendors- they are all in competition with each other. Be aware- the nicest scooters are on display, but once we paid, they pulled out one that had missing mirrors, scrapes and dents and faulty brakes, which we didn't notice until we were already on our way. The $20.00 deposit was returned to us at the end, but not without the request that we 'provide it as a tip to all the workers in exchange for our experience.' There is a McDonald's Restaurant two blocks off the main drag and they have fountain sodas for only $1.60 for a large. It is worth it to buy alcohol at a duty-free store (where they also have mixers for sale) if you intend to imbibe and don't want to spend a small fortune while you are there. Bottom line: This is a terrific hotel and a good value while visiting Paradise Island. We had a really great time and would stay there again."

"The comfort suits is very friendly, from the staff down to the construction workers. They are in the process of updating all of the room. I also would recommend bringing food from home.we brought snacks and went to a local store to purchase water and soda. The taxi drivers where helpful and had set fees. The straw market on the other hand is an experience of it's own some nice and some very aggressive especially with children. The price at comfort suits was great and we saved $2000.00 versus staying at Atlantis. I would also recommend the fish fry we went to O Andros and Twin brothers the conch salad is great. Sharkees was OK, and senior Frogs was fun they are good with the kids.. The only recommendation I would have for comfort suits is to put microwaves in the room. but all in all it was fabulous."

The only problem I had was not being made aware of electricity charge and gratuity charges until I checked in. $13.00 a person & $5.00 also per person. Other than this I would totally recommend this resort. The breakfast bar was excellent and always stocked."

"Comfort Suites in Paradise Island is for people that just want a hotel that they can sleep at. First of all, anyone that's staying here needs to know that as soon as they check in you're charged for an energy fee & a cleaning service fee. The energy fee is $12.95 per person and the cleaning service fee is $5-6 per person. My boyfriend and I were really taken aback when the consierge asked us for approximately $220 up front the minute we got there. The rooms themselves were nice, but the other parts of the hotel were just 'eh'. There isn't a place to eat for dinner on the hotel site & the buffet for breakfast is just okay. It's not bad, just isn't very extravagant. The pool is quite small and there is a swim up bar for people that choose to hang out there during the day. The first full day we were there we were told by the consierge to go to 'Cabbage Beach,' a local beach around the block from the hotel (btw--there isn't any beach directly next to the hotel, you have to walk approx 5 minutes to get to any beach). Cabbage Beach looks exactly how it sounds. Very rocky and you have to pay for chairs. Thank god we had full access to the Atlantis because it was the only good part of the package; it was amazing. Amazing doesn't even accurately describe the Atlantis. We had such a great time spending our days by the pool, lagoon & beach. Every aspect of the resort was so much fun. There's something for everyone there--relaxation, delicious food & drinks, dancing, water slides, the casino, shopping etc etc. We also spent an hour at dolphin cay one day. I did the shallow water interaction and had an amazing time! Overall the value of what we paid for at Comfort Suites was only worth it for the access to the Atlantis and would recommend the hotel only for that reason. If we didn't have access to the Atlantis, our trip would not have been ideal."

"Just came back from a weeks stay on Paradise Island with two grandkids and this hotel was perfect for what we needed. We were on the first floor (200s) and the noise was not bad with the traffic to Atlantis. The room was cleaned every day to perfection. Yes, there were fees for energy, housekeeping etc but for the price of the room compared to other hotels on Paradise Island it was worth it. The staff was wonderful and we had no problems at all. The breakfast in the morning is a plus and it is available until 10 am. and if we were running a little late of that time the staff made sure we all got whatever we wanted to eat before clearing out the breakfast area.
We will go back!"

The breakfast was nice, had to time it right but always had something to eat, recommend you bring peanut butter. They were renovating during our stay and could have used some air movers to get rid of the paint smell. Its a good location for walking to the pier to catch the boat over to the straw market and town area. All in all it was a room for the price. "

"This trip was a trip we will never forget. On the day of our arrival to the hotel it took us two hours to get checked into our room because the hotel was charging us additional fees for housekeeping, energy and a third person. The desk clerks were rude and unprofessional. But guess what? We had the pleasure of going through the same ordeal when we tried to check-out 5 days later. We were told we had to pay the housekeeping fees, energy fees, and for a third person. Well so much for paradise Island, Bahama! Oh did I mention that May is rainy season and there is an automatic 15% gratuity no matter how many people there are in your party and regardless if the service is poor or not. It is not optional! I will never go there again, once was enough."

"The comfort suites Paradise Island was a great deal for the money. Many reveiws have stated that atlantis is close by, I would describe it as being on the same property. Request a room closest to the exit/entrance that leads to Atlantis and it's a three minute walk along a beautiful marina. Free Breakfast is great, Bahamas is very expensive. The rooms are clean as well as the facility. The pool at the comfort inn suites is a nice way to calm ones self and actually relax after all the craziness of the pools, people, walking, exhibits of the Atlantis. Burgers at the pool were great, service was great, unfortunately there's always one apple that ruins the bunch. At the pool side restaurant we encountered one nasty waitress who delivered us cold food, never brought dressing for our salad and had a terrible attitude. The front desk staff was cool and friendly. Last but not least, energy and housekeeping fees are charged upon arrival and wouldn't have mattered if the showers wouldn't turn off, completely off for about 10 minutes after the third person took a bath. Oops almost forgot, staying in this hotel gets you the same treatment that a person in the Atlantis would receive without the big hotel bill and even bigger energy and housekeeping bill."

"My 2 adult daughters and I took a 6 night trip to Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. The hotel was perfect for our needs. CS had a nice continental breakfast each morning and 2 areas to accommodate guests. One outside and one inside. We preferred the outside eating area and there was always a place to sit and enjoy our meal. We were just a 5 minute walk away from the Atlantis water park which we enjoyed each day of our stay. What a great value!. The tube slides on the current river was out favorite and we spent many hours enjoying the fun and friendly staff. Also the entire marine life exhibits was spectacular! Take many strolls thru Atlantis to see all it has to offer. Each evening and some mornings we walked another 10 minutes to the beach and strolled along the clean and beautiful shore line as well as relax and lay in the Bahamian sun. We did partake in the sea jet ride. Wait for a bargain offered right on the beach. We had all 3 of us on a 3 seater new sea jet for 45 minutes for 50 dollars. Great deal compared to other offers. Licensed locals sell drinks in coconuts and will even break open your coconut to eat the fruit after you have drank the pina colada plus 1 free refill. Best deal for a drink on the island! We ate out at various restaurants in the evening. Some of our favorites were the Twin Brothers for fish fry, Green Parrot and Bimini Road at the marina. All affordable places with great food. We went on a Stuart Cove personal sub and snorkel trip. What a fun new experience. There is the opportunity to get all dressed up at the casinos, dinner and bars but we were all very casual and fit in just fine also. It was a great trip and Bookit.com came through with flying colors. Everything went smoothly and we hope to go back again someday."

"My family & I just returned yesterday from our 5 day vacation and had a wonderful time in the Bahama's. The staff at the front desk was great to work with and the bar in the lobby provided great drinks even though we drank mostly Talik (local) beer (great tasting beer too).
We ventured (walked) across the bridge from the resort (Paradise Island) area to Nassau several times and felt very safe. We also took a water taxi ($4 per person) which was nice as it took use to the Fish Fry area for great food. There are great places to eat just as you cross over the bridge, but these places are dives, but the food is usually cheap, fresh and very, very good. No place to sit though & many of the locals eat there so you know the food has got to be good.
We also ate at several outstanding restaurants, including the Twin Brothers at the Fish Fry area near the cruise ship docks. We also found great a (dive) place to drink cheap beer for about $3 - $5 per bottle depending on which beer you purchased (e.g. $3 for Sands local Bahamian beer). On the opposite side of the Fish Fry area and bridge we ate at Monteque's, the Poop Deck, & Anthony's. We had a fantastic dinner at Monteque's, very reasonable priced, great service & very taste dinner.
The resort area is unbelievable! Places to eat, shop and swim. We were able to use the many pools, slides and numerous other facilities within the resort. The beaches are fantastic and the drinks great, but a bit pricey ($10.50 for a Pina Colada tip). Just be prepared to pay tips as the number one employer and industry in the Bahama's is tourism.
Overall, I am very pleased with the service I received from Bookit, the hotel, and the people of Bahama. This made our trip a very pleasant experience and we would go back in a heart beat."

"We just came back from our week long trip in the second week of December. The comfort suites is a great, convenient, and cost efficient way to stay on paradise Island. You get way more for the dollar there then you ever would at Atlantis. With a continental breakfast, free pass to atlantis, and just a short walk it is well worth it. A little hint if you like to watch your dollar is bring food with you. i knew we would eat breakfast for free and I brought food from the states such as bread, peanut butter, jelly, apples, cliff bars ext so that way we didn't have to buy lunch only dinner. When the cheapest hot dog is 10 dollars the the lest expensive plate for dinner is $30 bucks per person, your going to wish either you made more money or have been a little bit more prepared for how much the food cost there. As a US citizen you also don't go through customs on the way in. So I'm glad we stayed there and also came prepared so we could do more fun activities versus spending it all on food. Enjoy!"

"The whole experience of being able to stay at Comfort Suites, breakfast and day passes to the Atlantis was uneblievable. The Comfort Suites couldn't be any closer to the Atlantis. The hotel is undergoing renovations right now, updating everything, but even the old part wasn't terrible. It was very clean. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly."

"We go yearly as a girls trip. This time we went 2x due to my bday. We enjoy the comfort suites because we have made so many friends here and everyone is so friendly. They helped us to make my bday very enjoyable. I know that when we went to the Atlantas they didn't smile nor greet you. They are pretty anti-sociable but of course we made the best of it. We had some of the staff there laughing once they got to know us. Comfort Suites are so nice and clean. Our housekeeper was vey nice also. She made sure our room was up to our standards once she finished it. Everone there smiles a lot and are polite. I tell everyone I know that is going that way to book there. We didn't get to use the pool due to renovations and they had moved the bar from the front to the dining area which was really nice. Guess what they even asked our opionin of the setup which shows us that they really like the customers input. Keep up the work ladies and gentlemen. We know when we get there next year the look will be awsome. Can't wait to see that marble flooring in the front."

"We stayed at the Comfort Suites, and I must admit it was well worth the time and money. Anyone considering a trip to Atlantis, and you are on a budget, should consider the Comfort Suites. Our stay came with full access to Atlantis, and truth be told, it seemed like our hotel was closer to the Atlantis attractions than many of the Atlantis properties. The staff was fantastic, and once the renovations are done, the place will be even better. I would recommend the Comfort Suite with no reservations. If we go back we will stay there once again. "

"My stay at Comfort Suites was Great!! Even though it is not a 'New Hotel',
it was clean and comfortable. And the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. This trip was a ' girls escape'! We plan to return when time allows! We also had passes to Atlantis with our travel package. And even though Atlantis is Beautiful, It seemed to be less personal and I would much rather stay where I am treated as a much welcomed guest and visit the amenities in the surrounding area. Overall it was a wonderful experience and We will definitely return to Comfort Suites!"

"Great hotel with the complimentary breakfast being a bonus, in view of how expensive food is on paradise island.Like a few of the other comments stated it is good to load up on snacks, juice/drinks and bring them over to avoid the outrageous proces.I liked the close proximity to the Atlantis hotel that allowed free access to the waterpark, casino and beaches. The only downfall was the $50 you had to pay to activate the phone line in the room to make local calls.....ended up using the pay phones at the Atlantis hotel. Oh and the carpets in the hallway could be replaced"

"My wife and I had a great time during our trip to the Bahamas and the Comfort Suites Paradise Island was a very important part and contribution to the overall trip. The hotel room was very nice with king bed, sofa, desk and chair; plenty of space when in the room. The breakfast was very good and allowed us to skip lunch because we could eat as much as we wanted for breakfast! The staff was very helpful, friendly and reposnsive to our few requests. We preferred the hotel poo, over the Atlantis due to the noise and large number of of people at Atlantis - and all of the steps in the Atlantis to get any where!"
