"Hotel was fine - i would compare to a Best Western - it has NOT been updated in several years, at least the main tower C that we stayed at. Our room was clean but we did overhear in the elevator another room had a huge cockroach on the ceiling. Very loud in rooms - sounded like an earthquake each time a neighbor opened/closed their sliding glass door; not helpful if you have young kids.
Food in hotel is sub-par but no other places close by to take young kids to eat.
We spent 90% of our time at the Sheraton/adjoining property. It's about a $25 taxi EACH WAY to get to Atlantis; not super close. From what we understand, they are going to tear this hotel down when the new BahaMar is complete next December, so makes sense they are not spending money to update this hotel. We had no real complaints, just not what we expected quality wise."

"Over all state of the hotel is mediocre, with the new project being built maintenance on the hotel is being ignored. The swimming pool was not clean and the hot tub was inoperable. You will be accosted upon arrival to attend a sales seminar on joining a vacation club, if you decline the offers will continue throughout your stay. Unless you are just staying for one or two nights I would not recommend it."

"Stayed at the Wyndham Hotel for my vacation with my girlfriend. Besides everything being extremely overpriced, such as $18 hamburgers and $20 salad wraps, the amenities such as the Non-Motorized sports that 'were included in my rate' were not functioning more than one hour of my entire stay. The water slide that was the main pool attraction was broken and the staff kept saying tomorrow it would be fixed every day. The Wi-fi was about 56kbs, if it even worked at all. There are 3 computers that you can use free of charge, which is nice, except 2 of the computers had system errors so it was really only one, and since it is in the main lobby, there is about an hour wait. There are 2 wi-fi routers you can use, except that if there is more than 20 people connecting, it doesn't allow you on... So those two things were not really included in my rate. The casino was fun and a decent size, however all the card and table games, such as black jack and poker were not open until next month, which I have never heard of before, but I am not a big gambler so Its fine. The last day there was a power outage throughout the entire hotel that lasted about 2 hours. There is also that $38 resort fee that is charged upon checkout."

"I enjoyed the trip. The hotel was good but not great, the staff did clean and restock the room daily and I didn't notice the carpet dirty. The beach view was awesome the hammocks and chairs on the beach was awesome. The main problem we experienced was the mosquitos. It was horrible. our whole body was covered in bites that lasted the whole 5day stay. And we didn't notice the mosquito problem anywhere else than the hotel. Also the staff constantly harassing us about the free breakfast. That didn't turnout to be free. I could have been happier without that! Other than that it was a good trip."

"Wyndham is in collusion with bookit to deceive customers who are told one price for a day rate but are slapped with an additional $38/day charge on arrival for 'maid service and coffee'. The arrogant and condescending tone of the Wyndham staff reprimanding us that 'we have to read the fine print' for bookit revealed that customer dissatisfaction over this deceit was a common issue they dealt with. apparently does not hide this cost in the fine print. This is deceit. We hate deceit and vow to expose this injustice through any marketing, business, media (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) as well as any legal paths or maneuvers that may manifest themselves. You took our money, then you took more money, then you ruined our vacation. You're not going to get a free pass here. We have time and resources and we will use them to expose you. Nothing makes us madder or more determined than a scam job like this. The waitresses in the breakfast area exuded a less than friendly tone. They made it clear that they didn't care whether we ate in their restaurant or not. We don't like being forced to pay a 15 percent gratuity for poor service. Preliminary research reveals that there are other dissatisfied customers like us. We'll find more."

"The whole trip was a disaster!
The hotel was dirty and we were charged a $38/night hotel fee. For what????
The water slide and hot tub were not working due to construction. We didn't have hot water one day. The maid never restocked our room each day. The carpet was so dirty we were afraid to walk barefoot. The ice machine didn't work and the staff could have cared less that we were unhappy about all this.
The casino was a joke. No poker tables the entire 7 day stay and the machines never paid out. We won't be returning to the Bahamas.."

"The Hotel is a bump , There are two towers been torn down ,keep on to the other towers .the area will be a lot nicer when the hotel is no longer
The carpet in the room was so dirty we could not walk on it aswell it was torn
in several spots . The bath room had hair on the floor and tub ,not ours .The slidingdoor would not slide or latch .
The pictures that are on the website are valid but maybe eight years old (the last time the hotel was renivated) the pict should be updated that is misrepustation

"We had a wonderful time at the Wyndham. We stayed in a corner suite and we highly recommend it. Yes, there was construction going during business hours, but unless you were reading a book you could tune it out. Hence the bid discount on the price. When construction is done you will not be able to purchase your trip at the same rates. The staff is friendly and the restaraunts were delicious. I loved that it was not kid friendly. If I wanted kids around I would have gone to the other island. We definately got hour money's worth. The beach is beautiful!! We will return next year!"

"Hotel is sub-par! The front desk answers there phones when they feel like it, there is major construction going on..so you here drilling as early as 7:00am - 7:00pm at night, the view on the website in the not full view in person...have fun if your in the Hibiscus Tower because you get to see construction, it's not family-friendly (excluding the pool and the beach: there is nothing for children), and it is highly overpriced (yeah yeah it's a tourist location but let's be practical). I had a good time in the Bahamas. I will not be returning to this hotel"

"I read the reviews before booking and was very scared but i decided to give it a try..... so glad i did. The hotel was really nice. yes there are some construction projects going on but never once did i hear even a hammer. The room was clean and spacious with great bedding ( im totally against flower sheets) and a nice BIG tub. I was very comfortable and didnt feel as though i had settled for a low budget hotel like some of the other reviews stated. We received bracelets that allowed us to go to the Sheraton which is literally 10 steps away & participate in their events. We had dinner 1 night at the cafe upstairs and the food was a bit pricy... i had a burger with fries for 15 ( reminds you of Fuddruckers). Another note, 1 bad thing i can say is after a long day of walking and sight seeing we got to the hotel and there was no hot water, we called front desk and they said it was down and should be up shortly. we were so tired, we fell asleep, but in the morning it was back on and hotter than before. All in all the hotel was definately worth the money, it was clean, safe, spacious. There will be a little inconveience simply because they are doing construction, but if you have patience you'll like it too.

"This hotel was okay for the first day. By the second day the water cut off and my friend was in the middle of washing her hair and was stuck sitting around getting soap in her eyes. The 3rd and 4th day the hot water was off! The prices for the buffet was ridiculous and the food wasn't all that great. The staff was very unprofessional and even argued when I spoke to them about the whole water situation. Plus this hotel charges a $38 per night fee. I will absolutely NOT be returning nor recommending this hotel!"

"I booked two rooms and requested two months ago for them to be close together, but got one after 4:00p.m and never received the other one until 8:00 p.m down and around the corner...finally we were moved to another floor later that night since I did not wanted to be separated from my kids. The hotel is average, it looked deserted ,most of restaurants are always closed and ones that are open are expensive...seldom any entertainment just quiet and boring and somewhat dingy....They are just focus on the new hotels they are constructing in 2014 and do not give a damn about the maintaining the current one...had a bunch of people harassing us every where we turn to buy time shares"

"The hotel was nice. the rooms were very clean. We stayed at a tower that was quite a walk from here to the lobby, ask for a closer tower if you plan on staying here, it's the closest to everything. "This hotel was not what i expected from the pictures. The pool area was a complete dump with broken and chipped concrete, unclear pool water with trash floating around from the bar. The rooms were clean. One day we didn't have any running water and was told we would have to use the facilities next door. The day we checked out we did not have any power. The price for the trip was great minus the extra $38/night you get charged at checkout , and the only saving factor was that we had complete access to the pools next door at a sister hotel. Besides sleeping, we spent all of our time next door."

"I would not promote this hotel from my overall experience throughout our stay at Wyndham Nassau and Crystal Palace Casino.
The primary booking agent for our initial booking was professional and courteous.
The problem with the booking of the hotel.
Hotel: Wyndham Nassau and Crystal Palace Casino
It was horrible. Customer's Value who their speaking and trust what is being said to them during their booking.
The Customer Service/Management/Housekeeping Services at the Hotel were alarming as well as unprofessional. Throughtout our stay we experience our room not being clean, no clean towels,repeated calls for towels, face cloths, etc., bed linen not change as well as daily reminders needed to housekeeping and management.
The plumbing was faulty. 'NO WATER' at all to bathe and take care of our personal hygienes or 'NO HOT Water'. NO ONE COULD USE ANY OF THE TOILETS. Next, the Air Condition wasn't working of a few days.
In addition, The Elevator STOP broke while we were on it. Trapped inside that.... DISASTER MEANING A CATASTROPHE.
To make matters worse, We also, experience a man trying to break into our room. We immediately call the main desk operator for HELP at 9:30pm and to inform the management team there at the hotel. Stated Security are on their way up to our room. The guy continue til about half-hour.
When 10:00pm - No One Call or Came. Call Again 10:10pm that night after waiting for Security. Spoke to Front Desk 10:12pm, I want to speak to the Manager on Duty and would like his/her name ...stated now sending security. Again asking for the Manager/Supervisor on Duty. Told someone from Security is coming now to the room. Next, stated there are only (2) people on the desk and him there. At 10:58pm an Officer of hotel finally came, check the door for tampering w/lock, secure the door and ask for a description of the man. We were unable to sleep for nights. No rooms available....Booked.
Rude, discourteous, disrespectful, offensive as well as unprofessional and aggressive all around with individuals harassing you with Time Share from Royal. Sadly, we weren't able to have a vacation and birthday celebration.
Also, customer service at the hotel needs immediate improvement. It is extremely distressing to loyal and valued customers like us who travel often to experience such mayhem and poor service. Our trip was supposed to be enjoyable, fun and relaxing. It turns out to be none of the above.

"Room better than expected however hotel in general run down.
Waited 2 hours for our rooms at check in whcih resulted in us being late for a function we were attending. Every trip to reception resulted in a long wait.
No hot water on last day and elevator broke down on numberous accounts (Mostly as a result of the £700 noisy students who moved in that day). We were promised a $50 refund but have yet to receive it.

"I arrived at the Wyndham Nassau a week ago and was met by the longest line at the check in desk I have ever seen. When I finally made my way to the front of the line, I was rudely told that I my room was not ready and that I should come back in an hour. I could not do anything because I had all of my bags with me. I returned in an hour and was left standing there for another 45 minutes and was finally assigned a room. I went to my room only to discover that it was not clean. There were towels and hair on the floor, and a half drank soda can and juice bottle. I returned to the front desk and demanded to see a manager who sent housekeeping to our room. When I walked outside, I realized that the hotel was hosting an 'xtreme trips' for high school students. There was a DJ blasting rap music and teenagers running around annihilated, playing drinking games in the pool. I'm not 18 years old, I would have never stayed at this hotel knowing they were hosting such a debauchery. I spent the rest of the week dealing with lazy and rude staff. My room was without a coffee maker so I called down and requested one be brought to me. An hour later, I still had no coffee maker. I called back down to the front desk and was told 'why don't you consider the fact that there may be other calls before you.' I was appalled by the employee's attitude and left for the day without a coffee maker. Finally, the last two days of our stay, we did not have running water. Apparently there was a water main break on the premise which left us with no water at all and again, the staff did nothing to help with the issue. Bottles of water cost $5 a piece in the lobby and the staff neglected to refill the water machines on each floor. Overall, this was the worst travel experience I have ever had and I would never recommend this place to ANYONE."

"We have only one complaint regards the Wyndham and we voiced it when checking out. We had cold water in the shower for three of our four days stay. We were told we would be compensated by having $50.00 taken off our resort fees of $152.00 but the full amount is showing up on my Visa. I hope to clear this up myself but i would appreciate some help. Apart from this, everything was very satisfactory and we would definately return. We have been to virtually every island, but i have to say, the people of the Bahamas are the most polite and happy of all . "

"The check in at the hotel was not very efficient,took over an hour & we got put in the Marlin tower & had no fridge or air condtioning & look out onto the top of a buliding,all brken stones & got woke up really early with the construction,we went & complained & was transferred to the c tower,excellent room & ocean view but they charged us $90.US for the up grade,we did get a 25.doolar discount beacause we had no hot water for half a day,the staff were great & very polite,all in all a good stay,but I don,t think we should have been charged for the upgrade& would appreciate having it credited back to our Visa account."

"The last time that I stayed here was 7 years ago. Things have changed since then. They show on the internet that this hotel has been remodeled. It has not, but there is a tremendous amount of construction going on around it. We were not aware of this when we went. The air conditioning cracked and popped all night and they put a loud drying fan in the hallway outside our room that ran 24 hours per day to keep the floor dry. The staff was friendly and helpful. The casino has stopped comping drinks for players so you have to pay for all drinks while playing. The amount of machines has been cut down and didn't pay any back. The beach was good and clean. The food at the resort was good but dinner for my granddaughter and me was at least $150.00 each night. I thought that my trip was completely paid for when I went but they tacked $38.00 per day on for a resort charge which I had not planned for or been told about. Just bite the bullet and go on to Paradise Island. They have ruined this place for me."

"Easy and affordable. I would definitely do it again. Traveling to and staying in the Bahamas for 5 days was awesome and I look forward to doing it again in the future as well. Staying at the Wyndham however, will not happen again! The photos that are posted on line are clearly old because the hotel although clean was under construction while we were there and seriously needed some remodeling!! The hotel felt dark and dank and because the casino is right in lobby area it had a constant smell of smoke. Their food menu was borderline disgusting and severely overpriced. Thankfully the Sheraton hotel is connected to the Wyndam by a set of escalators so we spent all of our pool and beach time at the Sheraton where it was a lot more comfortable. Their food was a little bit better and their hotel was not smoke filled or under construction. Highly disappointed with the false perception of the Wyndam which is advertised on line and would never stay there again."

"As some of the other commenters stated there was a black out one night and part of the next day due to a problem at the main power plant; the hotel did have generators for the hallways and elevators, nothing to get dramatic about.
I found the hotel to be very clean; yes the construction going on is a $3.9 billion redo because a new complex is going up which will be bigger than Atlantis so there was some noise during the day but not at night, hey people have to work!
The food was somewhat pricey and even in town although a little less expensive still a little pricey but you have to remember that they don't produce anything and everything is brought in. I found people to be friendly and like anywhere else there will always be those few that aren't.
Overall I had a great time and would go back again."

"Overall you get what you pay for. It was a great deal so we took advantage of it. Sure, the hotel needs some upgrades but looks like they are basically holding off on any repair work since they are gutting everything regardless. Food is ridiculously priced but there is a BK and Subway out of the hotel about a mile to the right. (Take advantage of it!!) Rooms are really clean and very spacious. Minus the (under 21 year old girls wasted) dancing to the 'Thong Song' on the middle island (putting her bathing suit up her behind) and the parents that had their child in the pool with no bathing suit (classy much) it was a great stay."

"hotel is under construction, the room was very comfortable, but the side I was on was a small view of ocean and the rest was all construction. The noise too. They lost power for two days, so no air and no electric to use. No generators either. Very very expensive, the best is to eat in town, take a bus. The atlantis was not as great as I thought, I did think the food out by the marina was cheaper."

"Our trip to Nassau was wonderful from start to finish. We had absolutely no issues with anything we booked. The air reservations went through and the hotel was waiting for us.
When we checked, we were given a complimentary upgrade to an Ocean View with double beds and a refridgerator in the room. I am in a wheelchair so they put us very near the elevator. The room was very spacious and you definitely couldn't beat the view. The woman at the front desk was one phenominal lady and deserves every employee reward that the Wyndham offers.
The beach was literally right out the back door. It was well maintained and plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to use. Towels were provided and easy to locate. Hammocks were spread around as well. The Tiki Hut provided swim up service from the beautiful pool as well as walk up. My daughter loved the waterslide and the cove was so nice for her to play in when she didn't want any waves. The actual beach was great fun for snorkeling and many types of fish were seen. Jet skis and parasailing were available onsite as well as many non-motorized toys to play on. Seashells were all over and great to collect.
During our stay there was an accident with some construction workers that resulted in loss of electricity on the entire island. The Wyndham staff did everything possibly to make things as easy and comfortable for the guests as possible. They did such a good job of it that I didn't notice any unhappy people and that is saying something for not having electricity for 22 hours!
The people of Nassau were the most friendly I've ever encountered. Smiles and greetings were easily found. The Jitney buses were so much fun to ride! They were very helpful in accomidating my wheelchair and there was alwaya room for 'just one more
Overall I would highly recommend the Wyndham Nassau and Crystal Palace Casino to anyone who is looking for a nice vacation in the Bahamas. "

"I was very disappointed in the hotel. The carpet had stains up and down the hallway. The A/C barely worked. They had to change the room due to the a/c not working at all in the first room. There were several lights burned out that had not been replaced. There was a leak just outside the room door, the carpet stayed wet the entire time we were there. When it started to smell they would come and spray something on it to fix the smell. The hotel lost power one night and I had to use the stairs to go down stairs. At the bottoms were many leaking pipes with half the area taped off. There were bare wires hanging down from the ceiling. Most of the emergency lighting didn't work. In the stairwell at the bottom the ceiling was covered in mold (at least the part that was still up). The elevators broke one afternoon and stayed broken until late that night. The main lobby had a leak dripping from the ceiling (they had placed a bucket to catch it). One person was injured on the waterslide. He cut his foot on a piece of the slide that had popped up. The waterfall no longer worked in the pool. Service at the bar in the pool area was terrible. There was major construction in the next door. There were several doors that wouldn't open leading out to the pool area. One door was missing and a piece of wood was in its place. I took many pictures of all of this stuff. Overall, the hotel was in poor condition and dirty."

"If your going to go to Nassau first bring alot of money with you. a pack of gum is $4.00, when i first arrived at the Wyndam there was people yelling and screaming about their room not being ready for days, after that we finally got our room on the 7th floor upon entering the room the smell alone was enough to leave the slideing door to the balcony was frozen so it was almost inpossible to move, but the view was nice. no water pressure to shower with, a/c warm,and the main door wouldn't close all the way.was there two days and the power went out in the hotel for a 1 1/2 days nothing no ac,lights,elevators nothing!! oh yea be prepaired to pay an additional $38 per day that they tack on to your hotel bill.the grounds are in need of rehab and the building is falling apart. don't go here!!!!"

"The Bahamas is an amazing place to go!!! The hotel was actually really clean! However, the staff of the Wyndham hotel were totally unfriendly and not nice AND include the 15% tip on the bill directly. Maybe this is the reason they are so rude - do not need to work for the money because they get them anyway. The food was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced. and the Buffet at the hotel was totally not worth it, too expensive and a little to choose from, the last day the milk was even rotten. So evenings we went to Fish Fry and ate there amazing fish food for so cheap. TRY THE CONCH SALAD! Other than that, the beach was amazing, the slide was pretty awesome, we could also use the Sheraton facilities as well.
One more thing - the internet there would come and go and the PC in the lobby were most of the time out of order."

"I have stay to this hotel before but my reason visit at the Wyndham was not what I expected. My flight was delayed so you could imagine we were already jet legged. When we got to the hotel I realize that the reception desk was in a different location, we entered at the casino. Okkkk fine.Our room was not ready and wouldn't be for nearly 2 hours, so we went to go get something to eat and as most of you know hotel food is expensive, welllllll guess what their prices went up. 2 cheeseburgers an order of fry chicken, 2 chocolate bars and 2 sodas TOTAL US$60.00. Finally got to the rooms and after booking 2 king bed,non-smoking rooms we were place in smoking rooms with double beds. 1st room when my mom got inside the bed was rumpled, a used cigarette in the ash try and the faucet wet with a dirty towel like some!wash their hands or face. 2nd room was a lock out unit but only to find the door was not locked so all da noise came right through. there were no fridge in da rooms and when we first turned on the tv we though the cable was off until we change the channel because we saw black and white seeds. After my mom called the front desk they moved her to a non smoking floor and she had a fridge but my room remained.
However, while i do support growth in any environment somethings just have to make sense because I walked the hotel and I didn't see any reason not to use the regular check-in since it already moved WHY on gods earth are they still allowing people to smoke in the casino. Smoking has been banned indoors since forever. So just imagine people with allergies, infant and small children n all the other people in-hailing that second hand smoke just mentioning a few of the implications this may bring.
Health for many vacations to come or the cause to death for your last. Wyndham you need to get it together we can always argue about service this comes first.

"The hotel room is very nice and clean they had just been all renovated, however for some reason the carpet fell like wet. sheets and pillows are clean the material felt like silk. very nice. However the outside of the hotel is rundown the pool is also in bad shape. the tiki huts had holes,we were sitting in a hammock stared raining and water was coming thru the roof of the tiki hut, i imaging that this is because the whole hotel is getting renovated. One big complaint that i have is in the Seaside restaurant we went for dinner last evening nwe asked for water, the glass of water never came my husband had to get up and go to the kitchen door to get the server This was very bad. The starff take the time don't rush for anything, although they are nice and polite."

"This hotel was old. Our room had a fan blowing on the floor to dry it when we arrived at 1030pm at night after a delay at the airport. I called to have the fan removed and it was. I asked the next day if they were bring back the fan to finish drying the floor, they said yes, but never did. The sheets and rest of the room was clean and was cleaned daily. The door was hard to open. The pool decking was in need of repair. The pool was nice and my daughter enjoyed the slide. There was always towels to use at the pool. The staff was not very friendly. I will say the wedding was nice. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the food was wonderful. I would not stay there again. Maybe after all the construction and renovations are done. "

" Just got home from 8 days in Nassau, and it's about time. Visited memorial week with my girlfriend for 7 days of stormy gloom! Oh well.nn As for the hotel - well, it has this bizarre bubble-look to the inside architecture that frankly leaves you wondering. The lobby is nice, and the internet cafe is a nicer looking area, but by and large this is not a particularly pretty hotel. The rooms themselves were spacious. Splurge on the ocean view and request the Casino tower.n DO NOT order drinks at the casino bar if you value your money. Even the upstairs 22 bar has far better prices. n DO NOT believe the Wyndham staff who lie to your face - the 12b bus does indeed visit the airport (2 bucks or so with check-in bags, but can take an hour to get there)n DO bring a flask and buy some rum, the drinks on this entire island are pretty much virgin. I did not, in 8 days - find a single place that had a notable amount of alcohol in the drinks. I got by simply by ordering glasses of whiskey, but wish I had a flask of rum to spike my pina colada's.n DO visit the Pirate Museum and Ardastra Zoo. 12 bucks for the museum and 16 for the zoo, but well worth it.n DO NOT expect everyone on this island to be cheerful. Even some of the staff seem like they *REALLY* would rather be elsewhere than talking to you. Not ALL, mind you, but a good percentage.n DO grab a bottle of snow queen vodka. Killer price and delicious vodka.nnIn my honest opinion, if I ever revisit Nassau I will be staying at Atlantis or comfort suites in order to have free access to their beaches, waterparks, and aquarium. Feels way more like the classic vacation there, but I suppose you pay for it..."

"I dont recomment this hotel. As indicated in prior comments, it is old, the airconditioning did not work, the service is not consisten, clean towells missing every other day, Bookit provides a good price but it does not show all the charges. The hotel charges $38.00/day/room for services and gratuities but the service is not there. I suggest you go to El Conquistador in Puerto Rico. You will get better service there, with more professional people and better prices. The weather did not help either as it rain 10 of the 12 days we were there. We also went to the market to do our shopping and cook breakfast in our room. There was at least one lady at the counter who should not be there. We had to wait until 4:00 to get into our room even though we had been travelling for many hours they did not care to provides us with accomodations earlier than 4:00 as per their rules. I dont think we will be going back to this hotel. - I would like an explanation from Bookit about the additional 38 x 12 dollars not included in their ticket but shown only in small print. Bookit also charges additional $100.00 for any changes you want to make to your booking after you have selected your flight in the internet, even if the change is minor and it is done withing 5 minutes of your entry. Bookit has a terrible customer service as well. Go to a travel agency and avoid using Bookit all along."

"The hotel's beach was AMAZING!!! but other than that the resort fell short. The rooms were dated, doors closed hard, the sheets were like sandpaper. The staff was always friendly, but worked at their own pace; some days they wouldn't clean the room until after 5 pm. The casino was more or less a joke, just a few slot machines and the tables were only open one day during our 7 day vacation (that was only 2 of the 'available' tables). Food was also way over priced, highly recommend going across the street to the daquri shack."

"Reserved two rooms. The ocean view lacked a coffee maker and refrigertor which was part of the money paid. The table between the beds was broken, the room smelled, the patio chairs were broken The people at the Wyndam not only were of NO help in assisting resolving these issues but they magically do not have any of the complaints made on NUMEROUS occasions. We had also reserved an island view room as this was a family vacation. The view was the roof top of a building. Upon complaining they tried to upsell me to a ocean view for $60 additional dollars a night. There was no refrigerator, coffee pot and no ice bucket. As I did not have phone access nor internet I was unable to contact bookit until returning home. While I will never stay here again...if you do and you have problems..I advise you do promptly call bookit for resolution. You will not find resolution nor customer service at the Wyndam level. This review is 100% honest!!"

"Two of the four restaurants are closed Sun, Mon, and Tues!! The ice cream shop was closed 2 days that it said it would be open, the Rainforest Theater was never open, and as for the casino, it was very small with most of the tables closed. The refridgerator and coffee maker that were supposed to come with the room took three calls to the front desk, and two conversations with the cleaning crew to get delivered. We arrived Thurs and got them on Monday. While the staff is very nice, the front desk people were less than accomodating. The resort is a little run down, but the beach area is gorgeous, and the pool and water slide were adequate. The beach chairs are very run down and saggy, and it makes us think that with the huge new resort going in next door, they are not investing too much into the hotel. Also, the restaurants on the premises are VERY EXPENSIVE!!"

"The rooms really need new carpet and updating. The restaurants were closed 2 nights of the 4 we were there. Allowed smoking but no ash trays any where. Balconies were litter with food, garbage and weeds. Trouble with our safe, and we had to wait an hour and call again to get it opened. Kind of a dump."

"Everything was great except the water line broke the day we got there and we were more or less without water for 2 days and when it finally came back on to stay, the water was cold. They did compensate us $25 a night but I don't necessarily think that it was enough. Rooms were clean and very nice, beach was clean, casino wasn't Las Vegas style but it was nice for what we wanted to do. I was very pleased with our trip :-)"

"My boyfriend and I had booked this vacation for the end of March, and although the Bahamas are beautiful and it was relaxing to get away some things were not perfect. We knew it would be a somewhat expensive trip (and we were prepared) but we were disappointed to a certain extent, not only does the buffet suck (we paid $75.00 for 2 people) and only ate chicken tenders and sweet potatoes (there wasn't much to choose from in general and trust me we are not picky eaters). The steak house is also way over priced for the amount of food you get we paid over $100 for 2 lobster tails maybe the size of the palm of a hand, a side of mashed potatoes, and a salad containing only 3 clumps of cheese, 4 tomato slices and a few red onion slices. The only place worth eating at was the burger place that is across from the steak house because the proportions are equivalent to the price. The room was clean in appearance although I woke up with a few bites on my left leg that I didn't have during the day (hard to say exactly where they came from but they were bug bites I had them looked at when I returned home because of the swelling) but the service was great, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. There is no nightlife, we did not expect a party (we wanted to relax) but it is extremely quiet outside after 8 p.m. the neighboring hotel had entertaining shows that we walked over to see. Down fall to that it seems anyone can come into the pool/beach area because of all the constuction. Although it wasn't crowed it was distracting and annoying. Do not leave your belonging unattended for even the slightest second. My camera was stolen while at the pool by two boys who we believed were local, I had my wristlet with the room key and camera under my chair while laying in the sun these two boys came up to us and were talking about where we were from selling shells and one started showing us what was in his box while the other Cbent to tie his shoe about 10 minutes after they had left we noticed it was gone. Talking to other guests we found out an individual who was staying a night from a cruise ship had his passport/ wallet taken near the pool as well, and his daughters ipod. Over all I wouldn't go back for another vacation, it was nice to visit and experience the Bahamas, but I felt I needed a vacation from my vacation when I returned home."

"It is just fairt. We paid 2 nights and get 2 nights free, so that makes our room about $150/night. I would recommend if you get the price this low. But if it's at regular price, find other hotels. Don't compare its casino to U.S. casino. This is probably a low grade casino. Most of the time you can just play machine. They have table games only weekends from Thu.-Sun. The way they set min.-max.bet is rediculus. Food, of course, is expensive every where no matter where you stay. And they always try to offer you free breakfast if you attend an almost 2 hours presentation. We didn't take it; I'm it's a waste of time letting them encouraging you buy in the future stay."

"The room was clean but the hotel itself is in an awful condition, and needs some major improvements. There are several restaurants within the hotel but are open only on select days, thus leaving its guest without proper access to meals. One of the hotel towers appears to be completely shutdown. There is also some major contstruction going on in the surrounding hotel area...can hear construction noices early in the morning. Will not be returning and would not recommend the hotel to anyone....very disappointed with accomodations."

"Though the hotel/room was clean, the staff efficient and friendly, the cons outweighed the pros. The outside of the hotel is in need of a facelift. It Has a casino but it was virtual which is not as fun. The meals are pricey i($20pp at least) and there was always a protracted wait for our food. There is an aggressive push to sit for a 90 minute presentation to join a vacation club. These Reps are perched in corners throughout the hotel and outside. Very aggressive and annoying to be propositioned by different Reps throughout our stay. Unless you plan to plop down $3K to $4K on the spot as downpayment to buy into the club. Stay Clear.! We ultimately sat for it and it took over 2 hours but we did get free breakfast and $60 voucher which we used toward one of the overpriced adventures (snorkel, dolphin adventure). Fitness room is a joke. Narrow room with 2-3 treadmills and 2 bikes. Beach nice and privileges at Sheraton next door was a plus (Beach, fitness center etc0"

"The hotel was close to the airport. It is not a new hotel and you can tell from the moment you get there but for the price you pay, what do you expect? The rooms were clean, nothing special. Housekeeping came really late so we turned them away a few days and only asked for towels. We were aware of the $38.00 resort fee when we booked our trip. If you didnt know then that is your own fault for not reading the fine print. Gratuities are attached to everything but what can you do. Food at the hotel was okay..nothing special. Thank godness for Starbucks in the lobby... Take the bus for $1.25 downtown and they have better restaurants. Across the street from the hotel is a daiquiri shack. Best daiquiris ever.Straw market downtown is fun. The beach was not very crowded so that was a plus. Pools are way too cold to use. We took a day trip to Atlantis and it was awesome. All in all I would rate the trip a 9 out of 10. Its a good value so if you are tight on $$$ then its the way to go."

"First time to the Bahamas, didn't want to spend a whole lot of money for a 4 night trip. I booked Wyndham because it was the cheapest deal I could find. Boy oh boy, do I have some things to say about this resort. First, when we arrived for check-in, their computers were down. They told us to leave our luggage in the lobby and go to the casino area and to check back periodically. We came back in half an hour and their computers were back up and we could check in. NOT a great way to welcome your guests!! Also, read the fine print before you book: in addition to whatever you pay on bookit, there is also a $38/night resort fee due upon checkout. Unfortunately, I missed that part and overall I don't feel the deal was so great when you add everything together (my fault for not reading carefully). I can't help but wonder what in the world was I paying for with the resort fee. For using their beach towels? Beach chairs? Walking on the sand? I can't think of much else. Let's start with the layout of the hotel. It was so confusing to find our tower. They need a better map to explain how to get around. The room itself is decent. HOWEVER, on my first night there the shower water stopped in the middle of my shower (This was around midnight). When I called the front desk they said it will be up by 6am and was hung up on. We called again to yell and then they said it will be up by 2am. Luckily it worked again in half an hour. But still, what a crappy hotel if their water shuts off from time to time! Also, there were so many fruit flies/ mosquitos in our room and the whole hotel itself. Disgusting. There was also no shampoo on our first day (only lotion and conditioner) but then on the second day the room service lady gave us the shampoo. Looked for an ice machine on our floor and found a broken down soda machine that was dirty and turned off. The next floor had a candy machine. The next had a broken down dirt ice machine that was off. Finally found an ice machine in working condition on the 6th floor. Again, no map or signs to let me know this. Just gotta find things yourself here. There are not too many options for food. The Seaside Buffet was barely open. Of the 4 nights I stayed there I saw it open for breakfast twice and open for dinner once. I guess they have so few guests that it is not worth it to cook a buffet when no one will eat it. A to-go salad or wrap from their deli shops will cost you $14. Soda is $4-5. Pizza pie $18. The Tiki hut grill outside by the pool was decent and not too expensive ($13 for my fish sandwich with fries). For fine dining, the Black Angus grill was surprisingly really good. That is probably the only thing worth eating in the hotel. We were very pleased with our cuts of meat and the flavor was so good. It was expensive though (it's a steakhous after all).The only alcohol we had was at the poolside bar. I recommend buying the 'Refresher' cup. It costs about $14 but then refills are $7.50. Otherwise a regular cocktail will cost around $7 but is smaller than the refresher cup. Plus the cup comes with a mist spray so you can keep yourself cool! Gym: Nothing but a small room with 5 treadmills. That's it. Casino - not much of a gambler but the casino is pretty small and nothing impressive. The hotel is pretty dead and boring at night.Gratuity: Look at your receipts carefully. 15% gratuity is automatically added for everything!! Even when you order a cocktail from the pool bar!! No need to tip extra (unless you want to). Overall, I had a good time. The pool was nice and had a fun water slide. Beach water was clear and beautiful. But I wouldn't recommend a friend stay at this hotel unless they got a super cheap deal and didn't care about quality at all."

"The accommodations were really just OK. I, like the other customers, was not too happy with the extra charge. I'm not really sure where they invested that money. What made my stay enjoyable was the friendly demeanor of the Bahamian people and the excursion I took to a private island. The hotel was just mediocre for the price. I didn't realize this until I went to Mexico for the same amount of time and money and stayed at an all inclusive 5 star resort. Now that was heaven..."

"I have read the reviews of the Wyndham. Based on them I do not plan to vacation there until the hotel cleans up their act! These type of reviews are typical when a hotel is going under renovations and attempts to be in business. The Wyndham should take note o f how the Rui Paradise island handled their renovation. They completely shut down, renovated and then reopened receiving fantastic reviews!"

"We had a fantastic time in the Bahamas. You have to understand that the Wyndham hotel is slated for demolition later this year as the new Baha-mar hotel is going up on the site. So the Wyndam has pretty much already shut down. This is why I believe we got such an incredible deal for staying there. We used all the amenities at the Sheraton next door. We found everyone to be incredibly friendly and helpful. We made many friends at the fish fry and ate excellent food for a reasonable price. We also ate lunch at Milano's down the street and it served very good Italian food for cheap. We took a day trip to Atlantis Resort and had the time of our lives on the water slides! We definitely recommend going to the Bahamas. But you're going to need to stay at the Sheraton."

"I already posted a review stating that we were very satisfied with the hotel other than being without hot water for 2-3 days. I was told a discount in the amount of $50.00 would be credited to my Visa but after numerous calls, i have had no responce. We plan on visiting the Wynham in Ellicottville New York soon for a function and i feel a $50.00 dinner voucher would be a good gesture on behalf of the Wyndham Group. "

"Pros: Friendly housekeeping staff, easily accessible to other parts of the island such as clubs and restaurants, met a lot of people Cons: Locals were for the most part very unfriendly and intrusive. I'm all for meeting new people, but many times it seemed as though the locals had nothing better to do than harass us. The staff of the resort were either rude or neutral. Our room's housekeeper was the only staff member who was actually friendly. The worst part of the trip was when I was physically assaulted by a staff member. The resort itself seemed to be outdated, probably why there were construction sites all around the hotel. Architecturally, the resort buildings casted shadows over the pool and a major part of the beach and for some reason it was always really windy at the resort when compared to other parts of the island. I vacation about once a year and this is by far the worst vacation experience ever."

"Rooms are clean but the building and property site is in dire need of capital improvements such as new carpet and fresh paint. Beach location is above average. Beware the time share reps at the hotel are overly aggressive and annoying. Additionally, beach peddlers and coconut vendors can create a disturbance with ongoing chatter so if you are looking for a peaceful environment, think twice.

"The minute I checked in I was informed of a $38/day upcharge for my room. The upcharge was for services usually provided like clean linens, TV, phone, etc.
I had to request clean towels, request phone to be activated, BEG for coffee packets, request Maintenace to repair TV (which they did not repair and I watched TV with very, very poor reception - some stations not coming in at all).
The Wi-Fi was in the lobby all right - but it was in a completely different building with only 4 computers and usually required 5 to 10 minute wait time. One of the bartenders asked me for a handout - said he was out of gas. Not to mention the hawkers who tried to capture me into a time-share program - very aggressive - made me cringe each time I got off the elevator. And then, of c ourse, the vending machines were always sold out requiring several trips up and down to the odd number floors and eventually back down to the lobby and a long walk past the hawking time-share people, to the small vendor who sold soft drinks.

"Nice hotel, but has a terrible layout. I am a senior with arthiritis in my knees and hips. We were in the H Tower, and the walk to get to anything (even the entrance) was very long, especially when you are in pain.
Casino was the worst, a big rip-off.
Electricity went out two times. My husband went to take a shower and we had no hot water, No TV and no air conditioning.
Our room keys kept malfunctioning and we had to make that long walk to get replacements at least four times. The last time they said they thought we were checked out.
The Wyndham was not the best part of the trip."

"We were there 6 nights and were charged $38 a night extra for condo fees? The fees include use of their facilities? Didn't we already pay for that? Hotel is very, very old and unkept. Breakfast was $20. Supper was $38, $2 more on weekends. Our carpet in our room was soaked with some sort of liquid. I dont think they will be putting any more $ into maintenance there due to the fact they are building a new facility, lots of construction in and around the hotel. Bleach stains all over the carpeting on our floor. If you go, get an oceanview room or you will be looking at nothing but a delapitated roof and construction across the road. Nobody used the pool while we were there, FREEZING COLD. The hot tub was loud and the blowers did not work in it, basically you just sat in warm water. (that is what your extra condo fees were for!) Weather was cold, sweatshirt cold. We went Jan15-21, 2012. Not so cheap when you factor in the extra fees and food prices. Breakfast was omelets and waffles buffet for $18? They automatically charge for gratuity for a BUFFET? I believe our gratuity was 4.95 in addition. Bring along a really strong person that can get your patio door open, they are so old and heavy. I could not physically get it open. Windows were dirty. Condo fee supposedly included non motorized activities, which we saw none. Our maid service was very acommodating. Our headboards were made of a material which was filthy dirty, gross. Access to beach...all the doors with the closest access were locked so you had to walk to the other end of the hotel to get on the beach. Why? I have no idea. The rooms have NO heat, so if it is cold, tough luck. You can ask for another blanket,... but wooow. Very unkept place and the condo fees is the biggest blatant rip off I've ever experienced at a hotel. By the way...chances are your cell phone will not work there and they charge you 1.99 to retrieve a message.

"The Wyndham Hotel needs some serious updating all over.
The ajoining Sheraton Hotel has done updates and looks very nice.
The Bar beneath our Floor host a band and singing group after 9:00pm and
the Floors are NOT sound proof so we listend to that Band until like 2:00am,
not a good thing when you try to sleep. The Television constantly was not consistently working in our room. The computers were placed a good distance from the general area and we had a very long walk and they had connection issues. I have never been to a Casino that charges you for drinks while sitting at the Slots and Tables. This is definitely in POOR Taste.

"Bookit.com arranged a 2 night stay for me at the Wyndham Nassau. An ocean view so I could sleep with my window open and feel the beautiful Bahamas breeze. Wyndham sent me to a room where the construction site was building during the night. I really needed to rest with the windows closed the sound was disturbing. In the morning I purposely started a conversation with a hotel staff about the construction. I was told to keep my windows closed for fear of asbestos in the air. I then returned to my room not knowing what to do. I noticed a warning statement on the window to keep the window closed 'for the fear of outside elements'. I am now home and back to work wondering why the Wyndham did that to me?"

"This Hotel was much better then was expected. Since it was off season Dec 05 till Dec 09 2011 the hotel was empty which was great. My Sister and I were booked a oceanview room with a great view. Found the food to be very expensive, so we went to the grocery store on Bay St. and bought bagels, turkey breast, cheese,orange juice,sodas and two days went to the Double Dragon Chinese Restaurant,on Charlotte St.very cheap and one night went to the Fish Fry, excellent food, cheap prices. Overall a great vacation."

"I enjoyed the bahamas but not the hotel because theyreddoing new construction they over charge for everything. The hotel room I ws in had some type of bugs where we were bit several times, the 'free wifi' was misrepresented and you dont get it in your room you have to sit in the lobby. All the food was groselyover priced and 15 per gratuity was added to everything. A bottle of water from the store had gratuity added to it, it was quite unreasonable. Next time I go2 the bahamas this is deffenitely a place I will not go. With the exception a select few majority o the workers were very unfriendly."

"This is my 4th trip to the Bahamas, and it was great, once again. The Wyndham was a convenient place to stay and every employee was very nice. The hotel was a bid run down, but I noticed that they are in the process of building a huge new Hotel and further back from the beach which will be great. I would stay there again, as it was very clean, and the pool and beach were great. Using Bookit.Com is so easy and always the best deals!"

"When I got my final bill , I was gouged $1.90 per local call My wife & I had may during our Stay Oct. 14-21, 2011 even though we received s personalized card from them stating local calls would be free. When I complained they said it was because I booked through BookIt.com and not Directly through the hotel. We are both seniors and suffered this indignity by complaining to the hotel's National Accont Manager. The manager totally ignored us.
PS We never saw the sun during our 7 day stay & were charged over 41.00 for breakfast (bacon & eggs - toast & coffee at their Seaside grill.
BE WARNED THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL ARE GOUGERS IN THE WORST WAY AND HAVE NO RESPECT FOR SENIORS."

"Did not regret it at all. I was going to book to go to Playa del Carmen, but had a change of heart and went to Bahamas instead. Beside, it was $500 cheaper. Let me just say, Bahamas will be the 'IT' place, forget mexico. Better food, easy to communicate, friendlier people over all. This hotel is at a good location, nothing spectacular like atlantis, but one day at atlantis visit is more than enough. the only negative is the internet, only 4 computers at the 'business' lobby to use. we always had to wait..."

"We returned recently from a 10 night stay at the Wyndham. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing and we enjoyed our stay. The food at the hotel was very good and although more expensive than food in the United States we felt it was a good value since the portion sizes were large. It is an older hotel but that did not stop us from enjoying our vacation."

"Overall experience was great. I wish the pool area bars stayed open later. Also, the hotel in general needs some updating. There's a big difference in Wyndham vs Sheraton's decor. But the Wyndham was great for the value and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to a friend."

"We didn't have enough fun the first time!! So we went to the same hotel again! We stayed here 2 years ago and it was good then, but this time was even better! The hotel improved and so did the staff. We didn't have to wait when checking in this time, and we got the room that we wanted. The whole staff was much nicer this time, every one said hi, good morning, etc.,they held the doors open, their manners were much better. I agree with everyone else on the drinks and food being expensive, it was $18 a 6 pack! But we expected it this time, we figure everything is a bit much there because of everything being imported. But we are still going back! We will go all-inclusive though because the kids will be going, if we didn't, we definately wouldn't be able to go!! We had such a good time!! We can't wait to go back!! This time we also got to the hotel without our luggage, that was something new! But we bought clothes across the street, where those nice ladies are, and house keeping helped out very much!! They responded very quickly when I called and told them we didn't have our luggage. Other than that it was better than the last vacation we had here!! And we are going same time next year!!"
