This hotel is under construction is being renovated however in my opinion it should not be operating until is done! Makes it very hard to get the basics... Such as food you will have to walk to get a decent meal. Staff is friendly and they are trying to build customers

Delta was late getting us to Nassua so we missed our flight to Cat Island. Fortunately, Delta was good enough to put us up for the night until we could get a flight the next day. Delta had a hard time finding a room but finally found one for us at Sunset Resort. The hotel was not busy on Saturday night and we got checked in promptly. The lobby is recently remodeled, modern looking and clean. Our room was on the third floor and had a view of the pool. The room was also recently remodeled wi... Read more

We booked this on, so were shocked to find additional charges which added up to $100 of the advertised price. This made our trip $389 for two nights - not worth it. Hotel is basic, clean, but not worth the luxury price tag. Staff were a mix, some friendly, others not wanting to help at all. no restaurant for breakfast. Hotel is within walking distance of downtown which is good, also have free parking which is great.

We stayed here from April 28th through May 7, 2016. They are transitioning from Sunset Resort(NOT) to a Courtyard Marriott. Beware of the Concierge desk which is placed conveniently next to check in(Multi Market aka Time Share trap) We sat through 3 1/2 hours of them trying to convince us to buy in even though when we sat down, I ask them would no mean no and they stated that it would. We did receive a simple meal and a $35 voucher to either eat at the Fish Fry or for shopping(keep in mind that ... Read more

I am a native and visited from a different island so when I tell you that I was not just overly pleased but very proud of how my stay went know that I am speaking the truth! First off from when you walk into lobby the modern flare is impressive. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is being renovated but that is not so obvious unless you're snooping. My room was cleannnnnnn spotless! I love the new design and colors of hotel and the rooms. If this how it looks and it's not complete... Read more

Im not someone to post bad review but I am honest to assist others WASTING their money. I'm presently staying at the hotel and upon arrival there was to kind of greeting. It make matters worst we had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready, as they say housekeeping it behind. They didn't even offer us a drink or anything while we waiting. DONT STAY THERE SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. I CANT WAIT UNTIL I LEAVE. ??

This was a great locations. The room was great. It has a full kitchen, a hide a bed in the couch. Two bathrooms. The only draw back was a spiral stair case going up stairs to the bed room. The bedroom was huge, with its own bathroom. The front desk help was amazing. They arranged taxis for us. Arranged to have our luggage stored for us till check in. The onsite bar/restaurant was great food and reasonably prices. Two swimming pools.... and right on the beach. Would go there again in a... Read more

Location is definately a plus... Short walk to downtown, and to nice ( and busy) beach. Clean rooms and good bathroom. Good news stops here.... Services are terrible, no one is never around.... Restaurant separated from hotel, no one avaible, little options, separated bills and no credit Card... Expect to pay in advance full, not at checkout... And do ask about taxes at reservation... Rates went from aprox 170 to over 220 dollars cause of taxes... Wi-Fi doesnt work most of the time.. And when d... Read more

This was an awesome selection because it was very close distance to the Carnival activities. We were able to stand around the pool deck and watch the Carnival groups as they passed by. We loved the fact that it is a renovated hotel with a modern look. The rooms are quite small though, however, it had your basic hotel amenities. On-site restaurant was good for breakfast. The restaurant still appeared to have some more work that needed to be done as it didn't have a computer system in place... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Hotel is newly renovated in the lobby area and the bedrooms, but the surrounding areas such as the pool and corridors are lacking in detail. The pool looks "dodgy" and has no pool bar along with basic pool facilities. The hotel staff are slow, lack customer centricity and give the impression of being unhappy at the prospect of helping customers. Ordering a coffee was a laborious task, especially when waiting for your change! Belongings went missing from the hot... Read more
