I chose this resort last minute, my wife and I were celebrating our one year anniversary. I was slightly nervous until we arrived. When we got to the resort about a ten minute ride from the airport we were amazed and full of excitement it was breathtaking! From the very start until the end of our trip every employee went out of there way to please you! checking in was taken to a whole new level Chevanda one of the kindest people I have ever met spoiled us to no end. We just returned from a week at Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa and Resort. The Butler service was outstanding and enhanced the resort's experience. Saronte, Perez, and Shamal were our butlers and we would recommending asking for them when booking. Each left little surprises every evening for us in the room from "towel animals" with flowers to chocolate covered fruit. Saronte arranged a romantic dinner on our patio on our last night, it was the best! Shamal made us the best vanilla milk shakes, and P... Read more

Positives - Excellent hotel, excellent location, excelllent food, excellent entertainment. Negatives - more staff needed on Concierge desk. Irons need to be re-sited in room as they take up too much space in the wardrobe. Hotel staff made the holiday such a memorable experience that we booked a further Sandals holiday for 2017 within 4 days of being there. Huge thanks to the entertainment team the Playmakers. We really enjoyed our vacation at Sandals Royal Bahamian. The food, service, scuba diving was all very good but I was expecting a little more luxury I think...and maybe expecting a classier overall feel. I was surprised that it took many requests to get an extra pillow or some extra bottled water delivered to our room...and it seemed the general staff were more interested in talking with eachother than in serving us at times. The more highly trained waiters and staff were excellent but the le... Read more

My husband and I got married on May 1st at Sandals Royal Bahamian. We couldn‚??t have asked for a more perfect Weddingmoon. We celebrated our honeymoon here and have visited multiple Sandals/ Beaches properties since. Over a decade later we decided to come back to the Bahamas. The property has been renovated but unfortunately, customer service has much room for improvement. We had a Club level room (concierge and room service included). Sandals Royal Bahamian is absolutely wonderful!!! What makes it wonderful? Let me count the ways: 1) At the airport we were directed to our bus to take us to the resort. They were on time and very helpful. 2) On arriving at the resort, we were greeted by a server with a cool, damp towel the minute we stepped off the bus. 3) At check-in, we were given champagne and shown around the resort. 4) We were directed to the Windsor Tower lobby area to make reservations for dinner during the week. ... Nice snorkelling right off the beach with lots of turtles to see. We opted for the concierge service and saw absolutely no advantage to this. It was an extra cost with no benefit. The staff was outstanding from beginning to end. Sharif the front office manager made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Food was great many choices. Every staff member that we came in contact with was extra cordial. The dive staff was great especially Sonny and Ramone. Don't miss the Shark Dive. It is AWESOME! Much better and less $$ than Stewart Cove's. The private island is not to be missed. Bring snorkel gear including fins as there is much to see on the far side of island. We saw at... Read more

Day 2 back from vaca and I'm ready to book now for our 3rd visit!! Let me start by sharing that we honeymooned here 8 years ago and wondered if we would have the same magical, amazing time if we ever visited again. Let me tell you, it was better this time!!!! We had such a great mix of relaxation, fun, adventure and romance every day. Our normal day went like this: room service breakfast (usually ordered off theBaccarats menu) then we caught the first boat to the island where we grabbed the sa... Read more

Sandals offers great service if you have a butler...which is something I was just not interested in. They tell you that none of the restaurants except for "Kimono" requires reservations, but as it turns out, having butler service gets your reservations - so there is a reservation system, it's just not available to those who do not have butler service. The food was realty good but the nightlife and entertainment were really lacking.

My wife and I stayed 7 nights with butler service. In short the stay was magical. Scott, our butler was absolutely amazing. This man does everything with in his abilities to make your stay perfect and so very romantic. From hidden surprises in your room when you return for the day, down to something as simple as treating you with a special drink on the beach. I swear he leaves rose petals as foot prints, because where ever he has been there will be rose pedals left behind. He went as far to set... Read more

My husband and I had our honeymoon at Sandals Royal Bahamian. Although we overall had a wonderful experience (and the offshore island is a definite go to spot) we had a particularly great experience at Baccarat Restaurant. The food was amazing, but our server, Lomax (aka Maximus Prime) was outstanding. He was extremely personable and he was knowledgeable about the menu. He went above and beyond any other server at the resort. He will surely go far in the business.

Had a wonderful time. First time at a Sandals. Beautiful property, treated like a king & queen. All of the 10 restaurants were air conditioned. Pools were great (one quiet, one noisy). Stayed in the Windsor Junior Suite. Nice big room with a king size bed and balcony. No complaints. Would definitely recommend this resort and plan to return!

For years we thought of the Sandals Royal Bahamian. Well, the wait was worth it. From the Manager Mr. Gary Williams (who took such great care to ensure our trip was flawless, "thank you" cannot express our gratitude), to Entertainment Manager Annmarie ( never ever had so much fun at a Sandals) to the staff (so pleasant and worried we were enjoying ourselves). We stayed in the Windsor Concierge Walkout. Towards the rear of the building. Great pool access but also private. The returning guest ... Read more

My husband and I did a 3 night stay at Sandals Royal Bahamian and had an amazing time!!!! The property is an easy shuttle ride from Nassau and upon arrival, we were met with Champagne and fresh fruit in the lobby! To avoid making this review too long, I will list the highlights and the only "low" light! LOW MOMENT: Check-in was good (not great) because there were a slue of peopl... Read more

From the VERY pickup at the airport, you know you are in for a treat. Not ONE staff member did not say hello, sir or maam. They were all top notch and the facility just simply matched the staff. Our butler team of Alex, Germeyl and Seronte was over the top. By day 2 they knew what my wife and I enjoyed and had it ready. They made sure to set a romantic mood every evening which made the trip that much more special. It got to the point we hugged and left with 3 new friends. 10+ for these guys, th... Read more

I like the fact that the resort is not too big. It was very easy to walk to the beach, pool and restaurants. Upon check-in were were greeted with smiles and were asked to sit on a couch while someone was on the way to check us in. My wife and I enjoyed our vacation at the Royal Bahamian Sandals Resort very much. Our room was in one of the buildings in the Royal Garden area, which was so nice, quiet, private, and beautifully landscaped. I can't really think of much negative to say, except our bathroom sink drained very slowly. Other than that, our room had lots of room, fully stocked bar and fridge, sitting area, balcony, and windows all around looking out into the beautiful gardens. The walk out to any of the restaura... The hotel was clean and our room was very nice. The staff was also friendly, except somehow we got left behind on the initial tour going around and explaining things throughout the resort. We were able to figure things out relatively quickly on our own though. One thing to note is that you will want to make dinner reservations in advance for some of the restaurants in the resort. We stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort. My previous stay was at Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica. I enjoyed this stay although it was a longer stay, I enjoyed it. Very nice restaurants and the staff was above average, just really good people. I loved the bungalow that has 4 units each. Personal pools and hot tub were right outside the bungalow. Wonderful Island right across the bay about a 20 minute ride. The food was great at each of the 7 restaurants. I had a really good time.

We had a butler half of the time we were there so were able to compare the two experiences. The main advantage is that they make it pretty difficult to get a reservation at the restaurants that require it without a butler. Overall had a wonderful stay. Food was pretty good, although service at the some of the restaurants was slow at times. The island was lovely, although we only got to go a couple of times during our stay due to rough sea / bad weather. The dive centre had quite a few issues while we were there (multiple dives cancelled), which was annoying, but the guides and boat crew were very friendly.
