"I went to the Bahamas for my 40th birthday. I have been to the Bahamas before but this was my first time staying at Breezes. There were so many things wrong I don't where to start. The resort is an older resort with small rooms. There were 3 of us in a double room. The beds were full size beds not queen which is usually standard in a double sized room and the mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable. The beds were too small to share so we got a roll away bed delivered to our room on the second night. The housekeeper kept our room clean although we had ants that came in from the 3 inch wide balcony.
The pool was disgusting: The pool area near the bar had a film on top of the water which I couldn't understand because every day at 6 they closed the pool for 'cleaning'. There was no music by the pool so the guest would bring their IPod and speakers to the pool for music. The section in the pool bar in front of the pool was closed so you had to shout up to the bartenders who were in the upper level every time you wanted a drink. The poor bartenders had to run up and down the stairs all day to service the patrons in pool. I will say the bartenders were great as were their drinks.
The entertainment by the pool/beach was the worst. The people who ran the entertainment were boring and non-engaging. The activities were corny at best and so predictable of something from an 80's beach movie.
The food was the worst. For 5 days I had to sustain on potatoes. I have never gone away and stayed at an all inclusive resort and lost weight. The options were limited and nasty. There ideal of a breakfast buffet consisted (main staples) of cereal, grits, baked beans, an omelet station with your choice of cheddar cheese, tomatoes and onions, and bagels. Oh and not let me forget the fruit cantaloupe, pineapples, bananas but never at the same time. They would run out of food I couldn't even get juice that I wanted. I would press the button for apple juice get water, press cranberry and apple and by night 3 the cappuccino machine was broken. Lunch and dinner was no better and the restaurants were awful too. I order a crab cake and it was nothing but a crab cake out of the frozen section from your local market. The beach grill was just as bad. Everything was cooked in their dirty oil. The fish was greasy the jerk (well I'm still trying to figure out what that really was) chicken awful and they would cook everything in large quantities and dip it back in the grease to heat it up before giving it to you. Me and friends began getting sick from the food and ran to the bathroom all night. It got so bad we went into town to eat because we were so hungry and bare to stomach another thing from this place.

I have never in my life been so ready to go home from a vacation as I was from staying in that pit of you know where resort named Breezes!

"AVOID THIS RESORT AT ALL COST! I have stayed in many all inclusive resorts over the years and this was by far the worst! The resort was not clean, the pool water was cloudy, the food was unedible, the staff was at an entire new level of rude and the drinks were horrible. had a 2 inch balcony... not kidding. The only part of the resort that was decent was the beach area. We took the bus down town every day to eat at least one decent meal. Would never go back even if they gave me a free trip and would not recommend this resort to anyone."

"I just returned on May 12th. For the money, the value was good but do not by any means go into this trip expecting much. I got there and had to go back to the front desk twice because my room key wasn't working. Once in the room you have a musty smell but since I travel to this type of climate quite a bit, I was used to it. What I was not used to was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. To me, this is a very basic item and I really would have expected it. The room was average (253) but there were a few issues there too. The dresser had 3 of the 6 drawers that wouldn't work. They would either open and the drawer would fall out or they wouldn't open at all. The closet door was off the track and wouldn't close. The bathroom was more modern but the shower door leaked so every time I took a shower I would come out to about 2 gallons of water on the floor and I used most of the towels provided trying to get the water up. The buffet food was pretty much the same every day. Very odd that conch is served everywhere on the island...except the buffet! The ala carte restaurants were ok. The Garden of Eden was better than Martinos both for food quality and cleanliness. The linen napkin in my bread basket at Martinos had lipstick on it and the oil/vinegar containers on the table looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. With all of that being said, the staff was great!! They were very friendly as was everyone I came into contact with in the Bahamas. While I would not go back, it did give me the opportunity to see the Bahamas without having to spend a ton of money. Must see...Atlantis!! Spend the $120 and but the day pass. You will not regret it!! Amazing!! Also, check out the zoo. A very nice, clean place to spend a few hours. I was traveling alone and was a little concerned for my safety as this was my first time in the Bahamas but as far as that goes I was very pleasantly suprised!
