I stayed in the Royal Towers West. The room was very clean and quiet. Service was excellent from the room to the restaurants. Food was delicious everywhere I ate. The casino was also very well managed and the staff was very helpful. I plan to return soon.

Very crowded but so much fun! I enjoyed the attractions, water park for the kids, lunch and the shark tank~ I cannot wait until we go back again! We took the kids but as far as an adult goes, I would love to spend the weekend there with just my husband and myself. We ran out of time to do and see it all! The best experience was the Dolphin expedition. We swam and got close up with the dolphins, it was absolutely amazing!

This is such an exciting place to go with a group. A little exotic but safe and everything you need is on property. We enjoyed the water park and the aquarium and the food, although a little pricey, was really good. One negative. While we were by the pool, several people had their stuff stolen off their lounge chairs. This happened two days. Although the staff responded and the police were called, you could tell they weren't that interested. Don't leave your things on a lounge chair by the pool.

It was excellent trip. We as family enjoyed staying at Atlantis. We went to Shallow water Dolphin interaction. We were not shown many tricks by the Dolphin in our group. Not satisfied by that. We also bought USB for $160 the dolphin show pictures but when we came back home we found only 14 pictures were in it instead of 73 pictures. The bed came out of the frame twice.First time it was fixed but again it came out and they came very late in the night to fix.We took the frame out and put it on the... Went to this resort for a company convention and I must say I had an amazing time! We stayed for 4 days and only slept 12 hours within those days! Everyone was so cheerful and helpful. Some of the workers even treated my coworker and I to lunch once they were off shift. The beaches were just incredible! Jet ski rides were very fun! If you walk down by the Rio Hotel there is a nice beach there as well! Got a nice massage under the cabana for about $35! Would definitely go back without hesitation!

My husband and I spend 4 nights in the Royal Tower. It is my new favorite hotel. The outstanding: The resort is beautiful. It is beautifully landscaped with shaded walking paths and little lagoons containing live turtles, sharks, mantas, etc, in beautiful habitats. There were some very creatively designed aquariums that you could walk through and view the sea life at eye level. There are numerous beaches, pools with plenty of seating, and strategical but discreetly placed cafes to stop for ... Read more

This is our seventh visit in 20 years to Atlantis (most recent trip was 2013), and in the weeks before we travelled I started to worry that the hotel had gone downhill, having read the recent reviews. I‚??m glad to say Atlantis is still a terrific, well-kept resort with friendly staff, and hopefully the following will help people choosing to go there: 1) The room: we stayed in a terrace view with two queen beds, Royal Towers (west), 4th floor. While the Atlantis is pricey, our kids (10 and 11 year old girls) thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were there for only 3 days but we all enjoyed the Rapids River and indoor aquarium. Our girls loved the shallow water dolphin experience and my husband found the Cove beach to be the best. The meal plan was worth the money. One negative aspect was the faint smell of cigarette smoke throughout most of the property.

All of us are enjoyed the beach, pools, slides and rides the kids 7 and 9 were engaged all day and could be off on their own. For the bigger rides parents needed to be near by. Husband had a meeting at Atlantis, so I went along for a vacation. If you enjoy water activities, this place is for you. If not, don't go. There is plenty to do for children above age six or so. The dolphin activities looked great. One of my favorite things I did while there was to watch the various groups interact with the dolphins. We went offsite for a few meals and snorkeling. The amenities are nice. Be prepare to walk a lot and to stay on lines with all the cruise visitors. The price for food is outrageous and the food is not even good, be prepare to pay U$10.70 per domestic beer and over U$10 for a bottle of 1.5 L of water. EVERYTHING you will buy have 7.5% of taxes + 15% of gratuities, all the restaurants close at 10 pm, except for the one at the casino. I recommend to spend one day at the Atlantis and check out other resorts or hotels for a much better deal.

We could not get a late checkout however that was not an issue because our bags were secured at the bell desk and we were allowed to continue enjoying the facilities. After the pool we were able to shower and get dressed in the transit lounge. This worked out very well for us. Can't wait to return.

The Royal towers are massive. Most of the pools and water slides are located on this property. The casino is downstairs and you have to walk through it to get to some of the attractions on the main floor. The hotel is very busy and you have to keep hold of young children because there are people constantly on the move. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they seem to remember you once they see you a couple times. The hotel itself is beautiful on the inside, beautiful decor.

The location was great, the staff was wonderful, the restaurants were top notch and the water park was a blast. There was lots to do and my teenagers (14 and 16) had a fabulous time. The property is very nice however is probably due for some power washing and paint as it is showing some wear. Also while everything was extremely clean, the carpets in the hotel hallways always had trash. I saw the same green straw on the floor for four days straight. I would also suggest that cover ups in the Royal Towers be mandatory as not everyone applies proper discretion and there were lots of families there.

This was my 2nd visit. I stayed in the Coral towers a year ago. The Royal rooms are bigger and closer to the adventure park and main pools. Both towers were very cleaned and had spacious bathroom. If you are not a picky traveler, save money and stay in coral or beach. There is much walking (this resort is huge) either way. Physically, it needs lots of TLC & was way too crowded due to the cruise visitors. I'm paying top dollar to stay & have to wait an hour for a slide? They should have a priority line for Atlanris guests!! We had a 1 bedroom suite in the Atlantis towers, which was far from 'polished" & a 'suite' experience. The balcony was strewn with cigarette butts, the tv in the b... Read more

I have noticed several reviews that rave about the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas and others who had a terrible experience. I have also noticed that the hotel only thanked those with positive reviews and ignored the others. That optimizes our experience. So here is my review: Hotel: We stayed in the Royal Towers and the accommodations were nice and comfortable but nothing fancy. The rooms were not in line with the price you pay however we knew prior to coming that the rooms were basic but expen... Read more

We come here as a family every year- going on 10 years of trips here. Have stayed at every hotel on the property except the Cove, which I think would be our next choice. Here's the issues that people like to complain about, even though most know what they are getting into anyway. ~There's a 7.5% VAT tax on everything, and anything food or drink related has an extra 15% gratuity added on. So there's basically a 22% tax on almost everything there. It adds up. There are tricks to trade to save mo... Read more

We stayed in the Royal Towers for five nights. I used tips found here to budget and plan, so I'll share our experience. Transfer: We used Sandra's Taxi Bahamas from the airport and back. I emailed Sandra our flight info and was assured someone would be waiting. Our driver was there as promised. It was $45 each way for four people and four bags with an extra $10 for a stopover at the grocery store. The drivers were personable and friendly and gave us lots of island info. The Royal Towers Property was great!! It was close to all the attractions on the property. Everything was in walking distance. Rooms were very clean, bathrooms were nice. We did have an issue with our sink draining but not a huge deal. Would suggest that you request to stay on a high floor if you are interested in any kind of a view. We were constantly on the go so it didn't matter much to us. Food was great. Plenty of options. But it is a bit pricey. We purchased the Atlantis Dining Plan at 5... Read more

The overall experience was very inviting. The rooms are comfortable, there is entertainment in the lobby lounge and a nightclub for the younger (pre and teen agers) right down the stairs. Between the Coral and Royal towers is a casino for those who dare to try their luck. One of the best features of the Atlantis, that is fun for all are the water slides. One can slide down from frightening heights, land in shark infested waters and race your friends down the slides. Other features I enjoyed were ... Read more

My husband and I took our 11 and 18 y/o children here for our daughters 18th birthday/graduation trip. We stayed in the Royal Towers which are in a great location. The rooms and mattresses were slightly disappointing... Equivalent to an average hotel. The second night we were there, there was a water leak and we had to change rooms. You are allowed to bring outside food and drinks, but there is only a small fridge that is almost completely full of overpriced snacks for purchase. As recommended i... Read more

My husband and I visited here for 7 days in May for a Marriage Retreat. When we arrived, we were told that the king room we had reserved 9 months prior was simply unavailable and there was nothing they could do. They "upgraded" us to another room that had two queens. We go to our room to find that it was still dirty and we walk in and there are unmade beds and trash everywhere (ew). We call the desk and they had us wait another 30 minutes before they could move us again. After being moved again,... Read more

Next I waited 20 minutes in line to buy coffees and sandwiches when I got back to my room 15min walk from cage to room there was no sandwiche in the bag! Calling them to explain was useless. I had to go back in person to get it removed off my bill. My husband was limping and even after they saw that at check in gave us the furthered room available. It... Read more

This is a great place with so much to do. The water attractions are wonderful fun. The restaurants are some of the best. We even have a casino host who is so attentive to all the details when we take a trip and calls us to update us on shows etc. The Royal towers is our favorite because it is close to everything, spa, casino and pools.

If your going to stay in the Royal Tower, I recommend breakfast or lunch from the cafe. Easy, affordable and pretty quick. You always have a choice to make coffee in your room and pick up a Danish or muffin from there. If you want to sit outside on the patio the view is great too. The buffet is right next door but I don't think it's worth the price.

The Royal Towers has lost it's "Royal". The gaping hole where once was the Cafe of the great waters now stands empty. If you want a relaxing day at the numerous pools be prepared to experience "overly" loud Rap music, not lovely Bahamian music that allows one to read a book. Most pools now only have one or two waiters because the flood of Cruise shippers bring in their own booze and snacks. Most, not all of the Cruisers disrespect the grounds shoving their way around while the rest of us who are... Read more

This place is amazing. A must visit once in a lifetime resort. With that being said, the one thing keeping this kingdom from being perfect is the outrageously high prices for everything. I understand it's a resort on an island, but $6 for a small bottle of apple juice and $12 for a bag of chips is a bit excessive. On a positive note, the marina worked wonders for us and our boat. The royal towers had wonderful views. The casino was awesome, a lot of fun and the dealers at the tables always had ... Read more

My wife, college age son, and I spent six days and five nights this July at the Royal Towers Atlantis. This was a beautiful location that offers everything for people of varied interests. Yes, things are expensive (especially food), so no one who commits to going to Atlantis should complain about that. We chose Royal Towers because it was in the center of activities, and were not disappointed. The grounds are immaculately kept, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the crowds were not outrageou... The best of the towers location wise. The waterpark, aquarium, casino and restaurants are by Royal towers. Really nice rooms, spacious and comfortable. The view is of all the hotel complex, full of vegetation, ponds and cool architecture.

Our vacation at Atlantis was exceptional. I saw different marine life and different caves and aquariums every day and of course swam at the water park, various pools, the lagoon and the ocean. We stayed in the Royal Towers East with a view of the harbor. Loved our room and location. Many other reviews discussed long walks from Coral Tower. The Coral Tower and Royal Tower East were the same distance to the casino. The Coral Tower was closer to more restaurants and the marina and the theater. The ... Read more

Awful place for several reasons: 1. Gigantic cockroach in my bathroom! 2. Queues. You queue from the second you get up to the second you go to bed. It's just ridiculous and not relaxing at all. 3. Cost. Who wants to pay $10 for a packet of Doritos for your child. Average meal cost with no alcohol was $150 in the cheapest restaurant. I knew it would be expensive but that is daylight robbery. The Atlantis in Dubai is newer and much nicer so don't waste your money in this overpriced and overhyped... Read more

We had waited years for an opportunity to visit. The room was great, and the property is amazing, though overwhelmingly large with very long walks to some restaurants and the conference area. Don't get me wrong, we had a great trip, but would prefer a smaller resort next time, especially without the cruise ship crowds.

We had NO issues and enjoyed ourselves so much. We were so happy with the hotel, the attractions and the people. We stayed at the Royal tower west. This is more centrally located. For those cruising and visiting Atlantis while in at port in Nassau, this review is for you. We couldn't really find anything we wanted to do in Nassau, so we decided to purchase a pass to Atlantis. We purchased ours outside at a ticket sort of office, before you enter, on the left. We didn't want to spend the day there - just look around at the property, grab some Conch fritters, and meander. We ended up on the tail end of a tour somehow, through the aquarium. The property is beautifully lan... Read more

We stayed here for 7 nights and completely enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the lazy river and the private beach for our tower. Our room was ocean view and the comfort could not be beat. The resort is massive but with shuttles running to every tower, it became easy to navigate. We took advantage of the 60% sale for Florida residents which did allow us to travel to the Bahamas and to stay at the Royal Towers. The young lady that checked us in was in a really bad mood. No smile, no warm welcome -- awful. We had to deal with her a couple of times with the same attitude every time. The culture of the resort has changed since they have been sold to a Canadian Equity firm. Instead of extending the goodwill that the resort has enjoyed, they are reducing service and staff. When do you have to go find a drink especially at those prices. I have been going there since Merv Griffin owned the resort and they will not get anymore of my money. Need recommendations for a new travel spot.
