Price/quality is definitely not in balance-at least by my opinion. Have been there twice now and the trend is going down- there will be no third time for sure. The service is not as friendly and personal as it used to be, you got the feeling that people are working, not serving. I was astonished to see how bellboys commented on hotel quests and not in the positive way. This should not happen in any hotel but surely not in the one where you pay 500?/night. A shame really.

You end up with a fantastic room with high ceilings and a beautiful view, if you have bad luck or book via a cheap platform you end up in a room with low ceilings, no view and a little bit run down equipment already, we had just one chair in front of the TV and table, no sitting area............

This hotel has good services and communities you can do a lot of things there, like swimming in a pool, fitness (for all ages), and the sky bar. It provides best services for the guests. The hotel provides big room numbers, good VIP rooms, junior, and master. It also has to elevators. The reception works all 24hours and provides any services. I must start this review by complimenting the unbelievable level of personal service I received at the Ritz Carleton Vienna. I was visiting for business and had a meeting planned on a Thursday so was arriving from New York on Wednesday to acclimate first. However my meeting got moved up to the Wednesday morning of my arrival at the last minute and when speaking with the hotel only a couple of days prior not only did they explain I could at least use their spa to freshen up for it as necessary bu... My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and were extremely happy with our stay. In spite of a very young looking staff, they were a pleasure all around. Very comfortable beds, great location, ample sized bathroom, very centrally located. We booked through AMEX FHR program, and had daily breakfast included. I am not sure it would have been worth it, otherwise. Not with so many cafes close by. Had dinner our first night at Dstrikt and it was very good. The rooftop bar also had a very casu... Read more

It's the typical price for a Ritz and you get what you pay for. We had a suite and it was absolutely huge. It's very modern if you like that sort of thing which for us it was a nice change. The bathroom were all white marble and plush. The best part was the heated floors in the bathroom and again I don't know if that's just in the suite. They also have a rooftop bar that's amazing and we hung out there both nights. Yes, it is pricy but if you're going to vacation...go for it!

We just got back from a long weekend stay at the Ritz Carlton. Very beautiful and luxurious hotel, we really enjoyed it. The room/bathroom/service/breakfast/rooftop bar, everything to confirm their 5 stars. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was far from full. In such case I think an upgrade is reasonable, especially when paying 500?/night. Or maybe just a room with a view (we had no memorable view - facing the courtyard). We really enjoyed our stay here -- excellent service, the staff was just wonderful. Rooms were comfortable and lovely, but I do have one complaint. We booked the Concierge Level, but what we actually got was "concierge access". We were on the third level of the hotel, but the concierge lounge is actually on the 7th or 8th floor. This is a very nice hotel in a good location. We looked at the pricing though to stay a few more nights and compared to some other hotels of the same quality it's not worth the cost. Also if you order food off the menu for breakfast, you may or may not get your order. The first day I ordered the healthy breakfast (avocado toast) and didn't get it. The second day my husband ordered the oriental rice and never got it. Otherwise, the complimentary cake pops are yummy!

The rooms are beautiful and the staff is friendly but the place feels a little disjointed and without much soul. The fact that it is a combination of two buildings contributes to the choppy feel. However, the experience in Wein, was awful..in reception area, stacks of dirty glasses, no greeting; told our room "ready in 15 minutes"; 5 HOURS later it was. My husband is Austrian and had to cancel afternoon/evening plans, as well as Ritz rooftop lounge reservations, due to delay. Room hair dryer, shower and TV remote did not work. Club ... Read more

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at the Ritz Carlton at the end of our own bicycling trip in Austria. We arrived at the hotel on bicycles (!!), looking pretty dirty and sweaty, and no one even blinked. The front desk and bellman happily helped take the bikes away to storage, escorted us upstairs, and suggested we check-in on the Club level (which is where we had reserved a room). The Club staff were delightful despite our appearance and in fact, they were outstanding the entire time -... Read more

Had high hopes before checking in at The Ritz Carlton. The concierge was the highlight of the stay with recommendations of local dining and shopping options. We were looking for an Asian restaurant opening at 10pm and a perfect optic store where we could find nice sunglasses, and we were not at all disappointed. The property is a little bit old. Room was on the smaller side. Location is okay. Walking time to the opera and museums was acceptable. What I really did not like was that it seems to ... Read more

We spent but three nights at the Ritz Carlton, Vienna during a 14 day trip. We wish we had devoted more time to both the city (had been there previously) and the hotel. We stayed on the club level. The staff was remarkable, the young men and women were charming. polished and eager for us to enjoy our time in their city and hotel. Our room was spotless, quiet and quite comfortable. The food and drink presentations in the lounge were beautiful and tasty. The wine "machine" was a treat. The hotel a... Read more

Quite simply this is an outstanding hotel in every way. The service is fantastic and while the property is exceptional it is the staff who really make this such a remarkable place to stay. Everything that could be done to make our stay more comfortable was done and our stay in Vienna became a more endearing experience. I highly recommend this hotel. It is close to everything, The rooms are fabulous and they really know how to treat their guests. Yes it is not inexpensive but then again life ... Read more

We arrived fairly late in the evening, but had friendly staff checking us in. They provided us with a welcome drink and assisted in helping sorting out dinner. We were also told that the 'infamous' 'Atmosphere rooftop bar' will be closing at 01:00pm. However when we headed up just before midnight, we were told they are closing and will do us a favour, we can have 1 drink only. The staff was not very friendly, even though there were a few more people turning up - some were shown the door, and som... Read more

Great staff, helpful, and courteous ladies and gentlemen! They were helpful on all levels, from check in to check out. They even found street parking for our car to prevent us from using a more expensive alternative. The restaurant helped make a special Vienner Schnitzel Sandwich for us that was not on the menu. We can't wait to return.

We spent three nights at the Ritz-Carlton Vienna recently. The location was really excellent to walk to the attractions, shopping, and restaurants located in the center. Additionally, it was only about a 1-2 mile walk to the other side of the river to see the Riesenrad and sites / restaurants in a more local area. Also only a short walk to the underground station. During our stay the staff was very helpful and very pleasant. I have nothing but positive to say about the fulfillment of expect... Read more

We were further shocked to receive a gift of a bowl of fruit and water while we unpacked. The suite was huge, even by American standards. Spent a night in the Ritz-Carlton, during a business meeting. The hotel is nice overall, and very well located. The bedding was great, but the room itself was just nice, nothing outstanding, not up to the expectations created, Food and catering was ok, but again below the expectations. There is nothing bad about the hotel, but nothing really outstanding either, and that is the only reason I gave a 4/5, as anyone would expect much more out of the brand and the price paid.

Ritz is conveniently located along the Ringstrasse where most of the major hotels are located. It is very nice in all respects, but misses the mark for a 5. Décor is OK contemporary and rooms are boring but most ample. Our room, on the 5th floor, overlooked a side street and had two sets of large windows which let in lots of light but were well insulated so kept out the bitter weather. My partner and I enjoyed our stay here and would consider returning. However, while the Ritz Vienna is comfortable it isn't particularly exceptional in any way. At nearly 900 square feet, our 2 room club suite on the 6th floor was very spacious and had a decent view toward Stephansplatz. However, it reeked of cigarette smoke.
