The hotel is a bit out of the central of Vienna but it is close to the Klimmt Villa and Schonnbrünn Palace. If you walk 10 mins from the hotel, there is a metro station that takes you to Karlsplatz. I like the neighborhood which is silent and peaceful. They really serve excellent breakfast and they have a good wifii service. The rooms are clean and it's worth of staying in the hotel.

Although the hotel is not situated in the center of Vienna, it is well connected to it. You can easily go by foot to Schonbrunn, as it is 10 minutes away. The best restaurant in town, the Metzgerei is on the corner of the hotel. The room was spacious, quiet ( despite the fact that it was situated near the train station). The food is ok, but not so diversed for vegetarians. All in all it was a nice stay for a very nice city break.

This hotel has a Good location, very close to a nearby busstop. You can go to the City center easily in fifteen minutes. Breakfast was more than our expectations. Room was large and clean. I will definitely stay here again. Staff was very helpful and kind. There is a railway behind this hotel but this is not a problem. Sleeping quality is really fine.

We only stayed one night the location isn't ideal for sightseeing but public transport is nearby so it can be done. Room was spacious and clean if a little tired in places. No tea making facilities but hand and shower wash provided. Our room was at the front of the hotel but it wasn't noisy and we had a good nights sleep. It is offer free wi-fi which was not that usable for me. Breakfast was a buffet with the standard fare with the best youghurt I have tasted in Europe. The staff were helpful an... Read more

This hotel was actually 'talked down' by our tour director but all in the bus enjoyed their stay here. Rooms were very basic but large, and very clean. Quite a way out of the city but apparently there was transport handy enough if we had wanted it. A supermarket within a 5 minute walk and a couple of very nice restaurants handy.

The rooms/beds were ok - that's the good - the bad ,no extras at all in the rooms , breakfast was rubbish all cheap cuts of meat , you even had to pay extra for a cappuccino or expresso - A/C not functioning , traffic noise at the front , trains at the back . Staff not very helpful .

Room and bathroom needed a good wipe down thank goodness I had my antibacterial wipes!! The room looked out over a busy railway with trains going past every few minutes which meant having the window open meant a very noisy evening but the A/C was worse than useless so noise it had to be. The location was not great either so all in all this was not a great hotel. Breakfast was quite good with plenty of choice. We were on a cosmos tour and only here for 1 night so as the beds were reasonably comf... Read more

We visited this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable and wide. The room upon arrival was clean, the personal was really polite and helpful :) The location of this hotel is not great, but it isn't as bad as others say. The Schonbrunn js like 10 minutes walk and i recommend to USE TRAINS to get to the city centre in almost no time :)) (PENZING station). The breakfast was delicious and provided a lot of food options:) The only minus is the wifi which wor... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and we are glad for our choise. It's a nice place, with comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. It's a little bit far away from the old city center. We met here two inconvenience: First relates to the fact that we had no disposable slippers, and the second relates to the fact that at 14.00 the room was not ready for accommodation, check-in is at 14.00. The breakfast was good, and had a large variety of food, but without coffee.

Pleasant stay in a clean, modern hotel. The staff is friendly and always at your service. Nearby two tram lines, as well as the metro line, directly to the city center. I especially liked tourist guide map at the lobby of the hotel with all the tourist sights and info.

After having experienced the hospitality in India, no hotel can really measure up. As an Indian, I missed the tea and coffee arrangement every hotel room provides in India. They can surely improve the decor. The rooms are quite bare.

Price - paid about 60 euros per night for B and B. Fair price given the city and location. Room rate on the door was Euro 280 plus 15.50 for breakfast - no way worth this. Officially a 4 star hotel, elsewhere it would not be more than a low to mid 3 star. Location - good half hour from city centre - be aware, the metro is not operational for months ahead due to an upgrade. Tram needed, then underground to the city. Cart parking - you must either use the hotel car park (recommended but expensive ... Read more

This was our second experience at this hotel and we were very pleased to notice that they mantained the very high standards. The room was very nice, spacious and oriented at the boulevard. The breakfast was very good, the staff friendly. The hotel has a 16 euros parking fee, but it also has a place across the street were you can park for free only over the night. It is a very good place to stay when visiting Vienna

The most important and basic thing you need to know about this hotel is that it is located very far from the center and you need to get to it with two changes. From the subway station still need to take the tram and walk. There are a large number of immigrants in a district. District boring and uninteresting, and in the evenings certainly unsafe. Main facade of the building facing the street with trams and trucks, and the rear façade looks at a huge railway siding. And 15 meters from your windo... Read more

We were told parking was available for 16 Euros per day but it did not need to be reserved. On the night that we arrived, the underground parking was FULL. We were told to park in the street, for free from 7 pm till 9 am. Outside of these hours, you can only park for one hour at a time for 2 Euros per hour. Pretty stressful for someone who is on vacation and wants to see Vienna and does not want to think of police or tickets. So the first night we parked for free. At 8 am next morning, I was tol... I have stayed in more than 100 hotels worldwide and this place has the worst front-desk staff in the WORLD. They are so RUDE and HARSH. There is a manager called Salem who was fighting with the guests like he is a street gangster and then Sonya who was just so rude. Rooms are very old. Water stuck in toilet. Wifi doesn't work in the room. Stale items in breakfast. No attraction walking distance. Bugs in the room and toilet. Overall, pathetic hotel and obnoxious staff.

Stayed here as part of tour, the hotel itself is ok, the location is no good. Unless you have your own transportation or on a tour I would not pick this hotel. Having never been to Austria before and taking the opportunity to visit friends, we booked this hotel on a recommendation from a friend. Very reasonable price, situated some 4 miles away from the city centre but having extremely good public transport links, the Kavalier is very good value for money. We upgraded to a Comfort room for an extra 30 euros and got a large, modern minimilistic rooom on the 4th floor overlooking the street. I've just asked extra pillows and they said that the hotel is full, they don't have any extra pillow. The other reason is housekeeping department is working untill 6pm. When I asked the duty manager; they said he is not in the house. At the end of the day they said NO to everything. Their breakfast was very poor. So I didn't have chance to feel their hospitality.
