THE classic viennese hotel. The gorgeous style is updated and the house contunuously refurbished but firmly rooted in imperial Vienna. Location could not be better. What stands out first and foremost though is the staff that has an amazing attitude and delivers maybe the best service to be had in Euroope.

We just spent three days at the Hotel Sacher. The Hotel is a family run business and it shows in the personal care we received, the warm luxurious interior and attention to detail. The walls are lined with photos of many of the Hotel's illustrious guests that have visited since the 19th century. The breakfast buffet is delicious and their grill room serves excellent local food- the weiner schnitzel and tafelspitz is much better here than down the road at the Plachutta restaurant.

Dining at the Hotel Sacher's main dining room was a delight and a highlight of my vacation! Its opulent decoration made me feel as if I was dining in a grand Viennese home of yesteryear. The food was exceptional - Asparagus liquid soup with Ricotta and jasmine, lamb in herbs and spices and, naturally, Sacher Torte. Unforgettable service, too.

So I did not know about the sacher cake and I just had to try. I was hosted by my friends and we where directed into the bar in the hotel rather than the cafe (which I think is to crowded and a tourist trap). Beautiful rooms in different colors. A lot of old people in suits. Amazing service I got exactly what I wanted a spicy margarita and the cake. Would go back for sure.

On the holiday we were traveling by train from city to city so we specifically stayed in hotels close to the main central stations so that we didn't have to lug our suitcases too far. Hotel Sacher Wein is a new modern hotel within 200 m of Vienna haufbahnhof. The hotel is very new and in a new area of development around the station. A must stop if in Vienna. A place of history you can enjoy today and try how a real Sacher cake from 1832 should taste. Service is just perfect, tastes are very good but be prepared to pay the price ???

We were on a guided tour vacation and they reserved this hotel for the group "seven couples". The water pressure was not good, we prayed to the water pressure gods so that we could get more than 1 oz of water per minute. The beds were hard, I tried using the bathtub and when I started to fill the tub, a sediment of dirt accumulated at the bottom of the tub " refer to picture" gross. Simply not a good experience.

This was our final night in Vienna after a week long bike tour, and although our stay was very short, it was beautiful, and the service was top drawer. Our room was nicely appointed, with modern touches to a very old hotel. We didn't get to try any of the facilities because of an early morning departure, but the staff we did meet were very helpful.

Absolutely loved this charming, classic hotel with a spectacular location by the Opera House and pedestrian shopping area. The rooms are small but very well designed with every amenity. The chocolate scented soaps are a special touch. Bath fixtures all top quality. Sacher torte is everywhere including the breakfast buffet. Service was first class. Especially enjoyed listening the the opera from our room!

This was a birthday gift ,to be taken by my Daughter for a Birthday gift. We spent 3 nights at Hotel Saacher in June. She had booked us a suite at the hotel, it was superb-- I expect partly because of the great one to one time with a daughter that I dont see so much of. The Hotel is friendly and hasalots of chocolates and themed items(great if you are a chocoholic). I cannot coment on value for money as I wasnt allowed to pay for anything. But a word to the wise if you are going to the Opera , w... Read more

Hotel Stefanie Wien provides old-world charm. The people at the front desk treat you like royalty and the chandeliers make you feel royal! The rooms are clean and quiet. You never hear your neighbors. The service was very good. The buffet breakfast was excellent and you also have the option to drink a glass or two of Champagne if you so desire! The location is also very good and convenient. You can walk to several good restaurants (about a 10-15 minute walk). The hotel is also right next... Read more

A visit to Austria for business or pleasure should always include Vienna the old capital of the Habsburg empire. A stay at the Sacher Hotel just behind the Opera House will insure that you will be able to visit all nearby palaces, restaurants, theaters and sight seeing spots with ease. The Sacher Hotel itself with it's excellent service, unequaled décor, bars and restaurants and wonderful rooms is one of the very few remaining World Class VIP Hotels in the World today. Well worth a stay.
