THE classic viennese hotel. The gorgeous style is updated and the house contunuously refurbished but firmly rooted in imperial Vienna. Location could not be better. What stands out first and foremost though is the staff that has an amazing attitude and delivers maybe the best service to be had in Euroope.

Hotel Sacher sets the standard for combining classic Viennese charm with up-to-date efficiency; it is the quintessential upscale European hotel. Location is superb, directly across from State Opera House and close to major cultural, dining and shopping venues. The professional, helpful staff anticipates guests' every need; beautifully furnished and spacious rooms are generously appointed with every amenity. Don't miss the buffet breakfast, which features Sachertorte among its many pleasures. Sim... Read more

This was not our first time at the renowned Sacher, and it hopefully will not be our last. From the welcome by the doorman to the staff at reception, the start of our stay was wonderful. Everyone is kind, friendly without being subservient and so welcoming. Nothing is too much. The concierge managed to change our lunch to a dinner reservation at a much visited and hard to get place without a problem, reception helped out with questions about the hotel and oh, let me not forget the wonderful brea... We just spent three days at the Hotel Sacher. The Hotel is a family run business and it shows in the personal care we received, the warm luxurious interior and attention to detail. The walls are lined with photos of many of the Hotel's illustrious guests that have visited since the 19th century. The breakfast buffet is delicious and their grill room serves excellent local food- the weiner schnitzel and tafelspitz is much better here than down the road at the Plachutta restaurant.

Dining at the Hotel Sacher's main dining room was a delight and a highlight of my vacation! Its opulent decoration made me feel as if I was dining in a grand Viennese home of yesteryear. The food was exceptional - Asparagus liquid soup with Ricotta and jasmine, lamb in herbs and spices and, naturally, Sacher Torte. Unforgettable service, too.

So I did not know about the sacher cake and I just had to try. I was hosted by my friends and we where directed into the bar in the hotel rather than the cafe (which I think is to crowded and a tourist trap). Beautiful rooms in different colors. A lot of old people in suits. Amazing service I got exactly what I wanted a spicy margarita and the cake. Would go back for sure.

Grand hotel with views of the opera house! It is a romantic hotel with the Blue Bar and Red Restaurant to provide options. Each day, we had treats left for us in our room. And then upon departure we had a Sacher torte given to us in a keepsake box. The hotel and staff provide a classic experience. Highly recommend!

This was our first trip to Vienna and Hotel Sacher was the perfect hotel for us as we had planned this trip to attend the opera and symphony. On the holiday we were traveling by train from city to city so we specifically stayed in hotels close to the main central stations so that we didn't have to lug our suitcases too far. Hotel Sacher Wein is a new modern hotel within 200 m of Vienna haufbahnhof. The hotel is very new and in a new area of development around the station. It looks like you are on the middle of nowhere but central Wein is only a short tram ride away on the D tram. The D tram takes you right into Vienna and is right... Read more

Being the Third Generation of a fourth generation business I appreciate that the Sacher is a family run business where the Owners are on premise maintaining the service and quality that they wish to deliver to their customers. The rooms and common areas of the hotel are impeccably maintained and the service from all of the staff was outstanding. In fact riding the elevator one morning by myself one of the family members introduced himself and asked if I was enjoying my stay. Very impressive! ... Read more

A delightful hotel. I would definitely stay there again. My family and I stayed for four nights. A wonderful room upgrade may have made a difference ! It's an old world charming hotel.
