This is a traditional, family-run hotel situated right opposite the Votivkirche. My room was comfortable, with warm wooden floors, soft linens and wide windows. I had a splendid view out over the nearby square and church. The bathroom was compact and spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and efficient. As I had a very early transfer to the airport, I skipped breakfast but would be very happy to return.

After an early morning, I stopped at Hotel Regina for a nice coffee in the sun directly in front of one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. I sat outside at a table for approximately 8 minutes before being approached, there was only one other guest in the entire café. I asked kindly for the drinks menu, to which the waiter informed me, "we don't have or need a drinks menu". Other than the slightly negative service, the coffee was flavoursome and was the best coffee I had tasted in ... Read more

The hotel Regina was booked for me as a business stopover when attending a recent conference in the city. Had I booked myself it would not have been the style of hotel I would have chosen but it was adequate for my needs. The hotel itself was very traditional with wooden floors, dark furniture and original features. My room was of an adequate size with a small bathroom. Unfortunately the A/C in my room was not working so it led to a number of restless nights as the weather was particularly warm ... Read more

I have stayed at Regina 3 times. It has been very good experiences. It is close to the city center and U-Bahn Station. Perfect rooms and good breakfast. Easy to find because it's close to main Ring. It's in an old charming Viennese style. The staff is helpful and they speak English. The hotel has a bar when they serve the local coffee, cake and beer.

This old-style hotel, built in the 19th century, boasts an excellent location in a quiet part of Vienna that is withing easy walking distance to the city center. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and have excellent air conditioning, which can be essential in high summer. The breakfast buffet is generous in its offerings and is located in a bright ground-floor setting with a choice of inside or outside seating. The staff is super helpful, and there is virtually always a line of taxis located... Read more

The Regina, is a fantastic hotel. All the rooms are individual bot the staff and the service make it all 5star. A short walk into the centre, but it is well worth it as you pass done fantastic Austrian restaurants and bars.

Isn??t it simply wonderful when, after travelling for eight hours and wanting to reach your hotel in the center of the city, have a shower and then dinner at a nice nearby restaurant that you have previously spotted online, they tell you at the reception that the hotel is overbooked and that you will be reallocated to a much cheaper one in a faraway district at only 20 minutes by subway? If you enjoy this as much as the rest of us, this is certainly your place. The personnel at the reception ... Read more

We stayed here for a business trip and i must say the hotel exceeded my expectations. The Regina is located near the Schottentor (U2) stop and is on the edge of the city center and near the University and short (15 min) walking distance to the major museums. This is an old historic building so expect a small elevator, strange hallways, and all the other normal trappings of restored european hotels. That said the rooms were quite large, and many in our team received rooms with amazing views of ... Read more

Traditional hotel with modern facilities, room was large but had no bath and only view was into an internal shaft. Avoid room 511, we would have complained but were too tired then couldn't be bothered for the next two nights as we only slept there. We were initially disappointed at not being giving a room as we were 'too early' to check in as this is a large hotel with lots of rooms and didn't appear to be full. Breakfast was the usual standard buffet, served with what seems to be normal in most... Read more
