Stayed here last year during our family trip in August 2015. We decided last minute that we wanted to stay an extra night in Vienna and since this hotel had very good price and the website I booked it through offered the possibility to pay by cash at check-out, we decided to grab the offer and book 1 triple and 1 twin room for an overnight stay. At the desk we were welcomed by a polite but not so friendly staff who checked our reservation and gave us our booked rooms. We were given 2 double room... Read more

The front foure of the hotel looks amazing and so does the breakfast, but not so much the room... Our room had one broken elevator that took could take you up to your floor... The room was an ugly green colour and the bath took a while to warm... It wasn't a terrible hotel just the rooms could have been done up better as I felt like they hadn't been done up since the early 2000...

Location is great, few steps from westbanhof and 5 min walking from Mariahilfer strasse. Hotel staff is very helpful and professional as usual in Mercure all over Europe. Breakfest is very good with variety of food. Only thing what was bad, very bad, is noise in room during all day. I was at 7th floor - room 701, and could not have a proper sleep, noise of some construction work was terrible. Neither me, or my family with small kid. I hope that will be fixed soon. Also, I noticed that rooms need... Read more

It is convenient located maybe 15-20 minutes from the city center. But from here there are no pluses only decent things like the staff, not helpful but also not rue. Decent enough and very cold. The room besides is almost at the minimum, lights are not very good, if you want to shave you should forget about it, the light in the bathroom is too low. There is some liquid soap, but that is all, the toilet is smaller than a Japanese one but with no improvements. The water to the toilet is running fo... Read more

Hotel is at a superb location, walking distance of 5 minutes from trams and metro station. Supermarket and other services are so near. Hotel is neat and clean. Staff is courteous and guides for city exploration through economical mode. Rate is reasonable and rooms have good facilities.

I booked at Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof for an impromptu two night trip to Vienna to unwind myself after the finals weeks. The hotel was nice enough to upgrade me to a corner superior room, even though I paid two-third of the cost with my Le Club AccorHotels points. The breakfast was of good quality and had a decent selection. The location is extremely convenient as it is just a few steps away from the metro and the train station, and also within walking distance to the museum(s).

Located right by the Westbahnhof station, this hotel is perfect if you're traveling by train. The international station and metro stations are 2 minute walks away. While it's not in the best part of Vienna, it's so easy to get to and from it doesn't matter. The service here was excellent and the room was very good. Much better than any Mercure Hotels we experienced in France. The pub on the corner does a mean schnitzel too.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with easy access to the underground. We knew we would be spending little time here so the tired decoration did not worry us at all. The staff were nice and the bar was not better or worse than other business hotels I have stayed in recently.

We stayed 4 nights and got the 72 hours Vienna Card, it was very good value for money, it has discounts to all museums we visited and included all public transports. There is a lot of pl... Read more

Good hotel in a great location. Near westbahnof station and one of the best shopping street (MariaHilffersttrasse ). Many restaurants and bars near. Most of attractions are reachable by foot for the people who love walking or by public transportation. Anyway it is not possible to lose in Vienna :) The room was clean, very helpful staff. I arrive in the hotel at 8 clock and they arrange a room even it was early and the hotel where almost fully booked.

This is a good 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel. The breakfast however, is close to what you would expect at a 5 star hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom and tolietries were basic, but clean and functional. The hotel was just out of the main city centre, but locatedt beside a major train station, with trams, underground and buses all right there. Visited in Nov 2013. Excellent location next to Vienna West station. Rooms are spacious and of modern decor with all standard required amenities. Lobby was bright and of cheerful mood. Concierge service was helpful. Breakfast room is large and provides adequate choice of menu. We didn't try lunch or dinner at hotel restaurant since there was large choice of eateries available at the food court of the station which was barely 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Loved our stay.

I got stuck here due to delayed flight. Next morning i had to leave early and they were not even able to wrap the breakfast! Btw breakfast was paid for! Any hotel i stayed so far always could provide breakfast for take away for early check out. This is a very poor service! I got an answer that i should have come at 5 pm to make this request when I didn't even suspect at that time that i would be staying in this hotel. Very annoying.

At the check in we were told that the elevator is broken and we have to use stairs to our fifth floor room. Tough. Rooms were smaller than other Accor hotels. Great location if arriving by train and great public transportation right outside. Shopping and dining places are also numerous near by. Room rates are competitive for Vienna.

We (family of 4) found ourselves here for one night after an Austrian Airlines b***s up. It's obviously their standard hotel for delayed passengers. The hotel responded reasonably well, providing a passable meal late in the evening. Rooms were a bit grubby - a few ants in ours - and no air conditioning meant that the room cooked overnight. Electric fan provided instead. Breakfast was the usual buffet, and well received. Staff overall were helpful apart from one disinterested concierge It's well ... Read more

Some rooms were more specious then others, but all in all were very nice. Up on the 7th floor, the water stream in the shower wasn't that strong, but enough to take a descent shower. We got excellent recommendation for dinner by the receptionist. In the morning, the dinning room was a bit crowded, and it took us a while until we found ... Read more

We arrived at our hotel in the late afternoon tired and, to be honest, a bit irritable. Location s superb if you travel by train. Shopping street is 1 min away, all downtown attractions in 15 min walk. Stayed at this place a few times now. Staff is very attentive, rooms are large and comfortable enough, all squeaky clean. Rooms (and everything, except lobby) design is probably mid '90 in mind. But taken how well it maintained it is more of modern antique feel rather than outdated. So all in all it is a nice place to stay in the neighbourhood.
