Even though the hotel wasn't located within walking distance of tourist areas, we will still able to get everywhere we wanted to go using public transportation. The staff was really friendly and helpful! I really appreciated the friendly welcome we received from the woman who checked us in. She gave us the bus schedule and highlighted the stop for the Ibis and what stops we would need to see the most popular tourist spots. The bus stop was right outside the hotel and it was a short ride into the... Read more

This time really disappointment ‚?? though we have the room reserved in advance plus we came already at 19pm (thus expecting being given not the ‚??for late-commers- left-room‚??), the room obtained had dirty sanitary facility (dirty not-cleaned toilet !, dirty piping in the shower), stain on the carpet in the room. Sleeping was almost not possible ‚?? room side was facing the motorway junction, in our vicinity were noisy neighbours (long after the midnight¬®). All was topped-off with either som... Read more

Loved that there was a bus right outside of the hotel approx every 30 mins to the centre of town - pay on the bus and it takes about 20 mins. Reception were very helpful. Free parking always good. We had looked to stay in the centre of Salzburg so that we could walk to everything, but the public transport was fabulous and the reception gave us a timetable.

A green cube near the highway is ideal as drive in hotel. Parking is behind the building. Hotel has direct connection with local transport (to the center, some 4 km) and is not far from the fair ‚?? Messeplatz. It is little complicated to go to the first floor to fine reception near the breakfast room. They have enough place at the counter for two guests and not enough when you have two cars with four people or more who are tired and want to get keycards as soon as possible. Rooms are standard, ... In the website they announce "free parking" at the hotel. Ok, no charges applies. But there are no parking lots too! The truth: six or seven reserved parking lots. If you don't get that, you are by your own.

We stayed for 1 night in the hotel it is good and clean one . Staff also very helpful and informative. We didn't taste the food there but McDonald's is available at very close to the hotel. Njoy the stay.

the hotel is located close to railway station, wifi was good. it is located on highway. the Mc Donald restaurant is in complex and is good. the hotel needs to work on the air conditioning which is bad. rest is fine and good for short stay.

This hotel is on the outskirts of the city but has easy access to the city with good public transport or a short drive. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Internet has improved and is now very fast and stable. Breakfast is nice and has a lot of choice.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly, helpful, and dedicated to the comfort of the guests. They gave us advise on transport, maps, things to see and do, sold us the Salzburg Cards which were awesome, called taxis for us, got ice, got milk when requested. Very helpful, like Ibis' always are. The rooms were a bit worn, lacking that sparkle and shine we have seen at other Ibis hotels. Would we stay here again? Yes, because the location is convenient to Old Town and to the central station. The ... Read more

A decent hotel a little far from the city center. We had a car so it was not a problem to reach places. Even without a car the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. So its well connected. The hotel room was decent, very basic. We missed the tea making facilities and also the mini-bar. Breakfast was also very basic but priced quite high (12 Eur per person). We also had to pay city-tax which we missed reading during booking. However, the staff (one guy at the reception in the evening shift, did... Read more

Had a very comfortable stay at Ibis Nord in Salzburg that's slightly out of the town but has a bus stop just at the hotel entrance. The bus takes you to city center in 10 minutes. The hotel and its rooms are very well maintained and the bed is just awesome.

Very average. A known quantity, rooms are quite small, but beds comfy and bathroom ok. It is not easy to get in and out the hotel. As reception is up the escalators. The environment around the hotel was not as clean/rubbish free as you expect from Austria. Early on Sunday morning the area outside where we waited for a taxi needed to be cleaned up.

Stayed here as we were going to see an opera during the Salzburg Festival. We'd done the Sound of Music tour so we didn't get there until 6.20. The hotel checked us in quickly and booked us a taxi while we got changed. We got to the opera with 3 minutes to spare! At breakfast we were able to use the waffle maker. My friend had 3!

The hotel is correct (standar Ibis) but is located very far fron downtown, you'll need your car or a bus. Limited parking Close to railways and highways For me is an option to make a pause and rest in long trips, but not for visiting the city. I found it very expensive

It would be nice if the rooms had a kettle and mugs so I could make myself a cup of tea or coffee. The hotel cannot be accessed on foot, you must use a bus or taxi or hire car By the way I am still awaiting my receipt for my credit card payment to be emailed to me (my stay was 31/8 - 02/9)

it's everything you would expect from an Ibis - top quality on a basic level. the extra offered by this one is the easy access right from the Munich-Vienna motorway and the hotel receptionist can open a gate for you to a private parking lot - free of charge. that's worth 5 stars.

Ibis Nord is you would suggest better suited to car owners situated by an intersection of the main motorway section on the Vienna side of town I however came from Vienna by train. Having read other reports of traffic noise etc. I was dubious I occupied room 222 which was 3 rooms away from the main road I heard no traffic noise what so ever. The breakfast was in line with all Ibis fare and set you up for the day, making my own waffle. The bus link from the main station Hauptbahnhof no.23 takes yo... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was very good with a good variety. but the dining is not too big so when it becomes full you either have to share with a third person or just wait. the rooms very spacious and well maintained. but there no housekeeping staff to provide anything you want in your room. you have to get it from the reception. Parking is ample and free. The hotel is located on very close to the highway. the city is just about 20 minutes.
