The hotel was really clean and tidy with good facilities and an unexpected detail was the small breakfast pack in the morning. There was also a really nice 'honesty box' system for drinks which was a lovely touch. The location is pretty good and the walk to the city centre was fine for us but might be a little much for those who don't find walking easy. This is a great option for independent travellers who don't need 24 hour reception. They had clear instructions for picking up the key out of ho... Read more

Nice location just outside of the city center (10 min walk into everything). The young lad that manned the counter was more than helpful with everything we asked of him and really helped make our trip as good as it was. Rooms are basic but clean, we stayed on the top floor with two single beds. The hotel has free WiFi and a complimentary breakfast package each morning outside your door at 07:30. Overall this is a nice place to get your head down while looking at the sites of the city. There qui... Read more

We arrived in the afternoon and rang the bell to be told to enter a lock combination and the key to our apartment fell out as well as told about parking which is necessary in Salzburg as most spots are short termed and paid. There are maps and information about the Salzburg card, which is a must and very reasonable to sightsee all sights! The shower head was broken and we had to hold it while showering but otherwise remember you are booking a room with a bathroom and not really a hotel. The beds... Read more

Very handy location close to two bus routes or a 15 minute walk to the main sites. Hotel is clean and friendly but as its not that cheap I expected more. Cold showers and a sloped ceiling that meant anyone over 5ft 8" had to duck to walk round the bed were not ideal. We stayed in room 7 and it was described as a comfort double but there was nothing comfortable about a stuffy attic room with only roof Windows where the blinds were hard to open and close. It was also difficult to haul suitcases ... Read more

This is a small hotel but comfortable and quiet. The owner/manager was very nice and seems to run the place largely on her own. A nice touch was a free breakfast pack left outside our door every morning by 7:30 (croissants, apples and juice). Free Wi-Fi worked well. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable. No fridge in the room but there was a little fridge in the hallway with beer, wine, juices that you could buy on an honour system. The hotel is well located near restaurants and abo... Read more

I found this Villa Cicubo Hotel to be a great accommodation. The scenery around the location was breath taking and was super easy to get to Old Town from this location. The staff members were very polite and offered any information, maps and festivals that were taking place in the vicinity. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely go back and recommend for those on a tight budget.

A family run guest house. We were staying at a rate of about 75 euros a night. A few days before our stay we had received an email to let us know the owners wouldn't be there in the evenings and our key would be left in a key safe outside. The hotel was very nice, the room was a good size with a lovely modern bathroom. In the communal hallway there was a fridge full of drinks and an honesty box in case we wanted anything.

The reception of the hotel works only in the very morning. When we came in at 6 p.m. there was no one and we had difficulties to get our keys. It was 4 couples. It just said that breakfast is included. They leave a bad of low quality pastry and awful juice by your door. The problem is the breakfast places are open only at 9 a.m..

The hotel is easy to find from the railway station, it's also directly down the street (a long one though) from the historic centre. They serve no breakfast here, but the administration actually came up with a wonderful morning snack package left at some time after dawn right in front of our door. A very pleasant beginning of a day. There is also free tea available at the reception area, which is very handy on a rainy day. On the cons side, there's nobody at the reception desk on weekend. This ... Read more

It is a small hotel(more of a guest house),15 min walk from the station and 10 min walk to the old town. There is an indian restaurant next to it. The rooms are pretty and clean. But there's no one at the reception or anywhere in the hotel except for the morning. When we reached the hotel (~11.30am) there was no one in the reception, and wrong key was kept at the keybox. So we couldn't enter the room. Luckily the housekeeping boy was around and he helped us to open our room using his key. So ev... Read more

A friend and I stayed here at the end of September. It was in a fairly convenient location to the old city. (An easy 10 minute walk) The parking was pretty cheap across the road in a gravel parking lot. The room was small but functional with no complaints. The front desk is seldom staffed so the keys are left in little key boxes by the front door with codes emailed to you prior to your stay.
